The inner tie rod has a ball joint that can wear over time, causing a clunking noise, loose steering, and eventually, other problems with the wheel and suspension components. It’s a good idea to replace your inner tie rods as soon as you notice any of these symptoms. This video shows you how to replace the inner tie rod.

Great instructional video minus you left of the very important torque spec for the tie rod end. 55 ft pounds plus 90 degrees

What do you mean? I gotta change mine so I wanna do it right ?? Also if just the outer is bad should I do both or the inner as well?

@@lawrence279 I just replaced both tie rods inner and outer since they were relatively inexpensive and only takes about 20 minutes each. The nut that fastens the tie rod to your hub assembly you tighten to 55 ft lbs torque and then 1/4 turn

@@AutomotiveDysfunction i did buy some kind of clumps to torque it with a gun but i have a big ass pipe wrench and i hope that will do the job..

@@Italianborn it will do actually trucks are very easy to do as you can see, you don't even need special tool just big size regular wrench or adjustable wrench..might have turn steering wheel fully to left or right just to make it even easier ...
