I had purchasd the throttle controller some months back along with the k and n cold air intake. I love it. I tell anyone who will listen about it. Has not caused any issues with the check engine light or anything else. The pick up i get when i hit the gas is just incredible. It has many differnt modes to choose from. I give it a definite thumbs up.
Great MODs and great presentation. I must point out that when installing new headlights, you must open the access cover in each wheel well to release the lock by pushing up on the white latch on the rear of the headlight and relock it on the new assembly by pulling down.
Added catch can a couple of years ago. Absolutely worth it. The amount of oil caught in this thing is astounding. Empty it about every 2-3 monthes, usually getting about 8-9 ounces of oil.
for the throttle controller, just know that there can be issues, they can throw accelerator pedal codes, which will have your engine light on. as well as a lot of people who have cold winters say the controller starts to have problems below -5, causing the controller to either over rev the engine, or put the truck in limp mode.
I tried the throttle response controller and while it worked, kind of. It really did not make much difference at all. The one thing it did consistently was set off my check engine light. RETURNED...
That is a huge step to miss. You would be quite frustrated after following these steps to find out the light STILL isnt coming out. Thanks for pointing out.
Roar makes a great pedal module as well, it's Bluetooth controlled. Also Ripp makes a great catch can. Great vid and you did that all with your nails done, nice.
Throttle controller is a bonus, from the factory Ram shift points are for fuel economy and can be really annoying especially when attempting to pass other vehicles on the highway. Rams take so long to downshift it can make passing dangerous. My controller is a 9 Drive, same as the one in the video, Amazon $30 Canadian, well worth it, and it does not affect your engine computer just your throttle position signal sent to the computer.
Why would you leave out the white handle you have to pull down inside the wheel well to remove the head light? You can remove the headlights on a 4th gen ram without removing the grill as well.
How did you miss explaining the step of opening the inner fender well to access the white headlight locking clip and pulling it downward to release it from the front end/ The headlight will not come out like you did it if you dont do this step.?
What they need to make is a purging loop. to get that air out of the circulation prior to the heater coil. All Rams get that air bubble trapped in the water line, not good in winter months-
What are those extra plugs on the headlght plugs that dosent look stock. whem i tried to make a video i was told it MUST BE STOCK guess whats good for the goose in not apply to the Gander.

Will the speed foem throttle controller and the oil catch can void the warranty/ extended warranty of the truck? I do not want to add anything thay will void the extended warranty that I had to pay for.
There is absolutely no need for a catch can on a stock motor. If you regularly change your oil you will never have enough blowby to contaminate the airflow to the intake. If it were necessary, the factory would've put them on.
I feel the same way about cold air intakes. The engineers know what they are doing. If the vehicle needs more air or a bigger oil filter to run properly, it would have come that way stock.
Catch can is useless . I agree with the cold air intake too but I always put one on just for better look and it sounds really nice too if you spend some extra money on a good one
What my Tech professor always say. If you think that a few hundred bucks worth of parts can improve the reliability, efficiency and longevity of the car, compared to the millions of dollars spent by the manufacturer on research. Then go for it.
@MrSuperSativa different department. Engineers doesn’t take shortcuts to take the risk of recalls and lawsuits. And again what I said about aftermarkets. If the first thing that a customer does to a vehicle is slap a bolt on part and void the warranty to prevent the vehicle from a catastrophic failure then what are the engineers doing. As a tech I’ve ONLY seen and heard cars lasting long miles with just a proper preventative maintenance. Vehicles with mods, none at all.
