    I lost time time because I only disconnected the sway bar on one side. Both sides must be disconnected in order for the sway bar to lift. Took me a while to figure out why I wasn't getting enough clearance to remove the old strut (was binding at the sway bar). But these are great instructions, the best I found for this job - thank you.

    I really appreciate your video! Getting ready to do this on my wife's truck. The other video I watched pulled the axle shafts and a bunch of unnecessary steps.

    Great job guys! Excellent video with complete detailed instructions. So nice to have all wrench/socket sizes along with full torque specs. This is exactly what I needed to feel comfortable about doing this job myself. Unfortunately my Ram is 10 years old and is used for plowing up here in the Northeast US.. Lots of corrosion and rust. I expect it will be a struggle breaking all the nuts and bolts free. Let the battle begin!

    Are the front springs on a 2014 4x4 trades man the same or is the left different from the right ?. I ordered a set together and received the same shock with 2 different springs thanks for any feedback back

    any particular reason on the upper control arm you can not re-use the nut/fastener?

    • @jean-guybernier3292
      @jean-guybernier3292 Рік тому

      Yes. It is a jam nut. Not a nylon jam nut but all metal. It is made for one time screw-in. If you want to reuse it, apply red loctite on threads. But for the price, buy a new one.

    I put rancho 2in on my 2010 and if your not in the south and your north like me then lord have mercy on you and me. The bushing will diff be seized. So torching and an air gun is the way to go. The yellow tank for torching would do. So after 2 days of torching and oh the nut and bolt and the strut to the bolt I chopped. 😂

  • @chuckpop
    @chuckpop Рік тому

    I was unable to get the strut out after following your procedure. 1A auto has a video that shows that you must completely disassemble, removing the caliper and bracket, rotor, axle, separating the lower control arm ball joint and lowering the lower control arm to finally get to remove the strut.

      I saw that one and the guy go wild removing too much component to my opinion but he is such a good teacher and a good technician thow. Did mine with ease by removing upper sway bar nut, upper control arm nut, tie-rod nut and lower and upper strut bolts. Had to heat upper section of knuckel and lower coilover nut thow. Even having spraying everything 3 times on a 2 weeks before doing the job and having smacked very hard knuckel when job was on. But succeded.

      Humm. For me I don't think so. As long as you dont change the tie-rod adjustment and don't touch camber cam on lower control arm. But if you whant to proceed, run the truck for couple of weeks before alignment.@@2carpros

    Sorry for the late comment. I have a 2.5 in level on my ram and an installing the Kings beginning of year. Does it bring it back to level just by installing or do I need to crank down the spring collar to get that height?

    • @2carpros
      @2carpros  2 роки тому

      It installed level for me so I assume they set it up that way from factory. Thanks for watching!

      I would, these are one time use crimp lock, once you back them off, they no longer self lock. Also the factory Mopar hardware isn't the best.
