New Tie Rod from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1ASTE00940
This video shows you how to install an inner tie rod on your 2011-2018 Ram 1500. The inner tie rod has a ball joint that can wear over time, causing a clunking noise, loose steering, and eventually, other problems with the wheel and suspension components. It’s a good idea to replace your inner tie rods as soon as you notice any of these symptoms.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2011 Ram 1500
2012 Ram 1500
2013 Ram 1500
2014 Ram 1500
2015 Ram 1500
2016 Ram 1500
2017 Ram 1500
2018 Ram 1500

Just got done replacing tie rods. It would have been a lot easier if the person who installed the last set didn't use red loctite where the outer and inner join. I was so tempted to just cut the end off, but I thought that if they also used red loctite on the rack connection, I'd be screwed. So, I successfully disconnected the rack connection first. Had to put tie rod in vise, torch, and use about 100 pounds of force to break it loose.
My man with the zip tie action hahaha. Smart move
Man, my buddy got hit , driver side, front tire. We were able to get them out of the parking lot & off to an alignment shop, thank you so much. This is a great video , well laid out. Well explained/ annunciated with correct bolt sizes ❤❤❤ made a bad day better.
I’ve came across your videos a few times and they’re always good
Great job I appreciate your videos
What would be symptoms if this being bad. ? I have replaced my entire feont suspension. And I have a wheel shake on bumps or rough road that didn't go away.
That sway bar has seen better days
Do you need to grease the joint before putting on the new boot?
Where did you get the replacement boot from?
Is the truck in neutral during this
Should we get a alignment after this?
Yes
Is there a specific tightness or just snug and plus a quarter turn?
+DuhByrd When tightening the jam nut there is not a specific tightness, just be sure it is snug.
