I am excited. I have inherited an old, black mantel clock from Grandma's house. The clock hasn't worked my whole life. I think I will paint it off-white with decoupaged pink roses. I will replace the clock face with Great-Grandma's gray and white toned photo, beautifully colorized with pale pink. I have engagement photos of both grandparents that I plan to put in other antique clocks. I have an 18" hand-made oak shelf to put them on and hang Grandpa's violin on the wall beside them. You have inspired me! Thank you!
Oh, Mary Ellen! You have a beautiful plan! I would love to see your display when you have it all finished! How nice that will be to be reminded of your grandparents every day!
I've heard of bringing new life to old things but you have managed to bring new life to dead things! Love the vivarium. And I like the versatility of the marble lamp base. You have wonderful ideas! Thank you for another beautiful video.
How in the world do you keep your home dust free? That's how it looks in these videos. I really love your creations! Every nook and cranny has its point of interest and it is all beautiful with character and grace. You are a very talented lady. Well done.
Sherry you have a beautiful home. I love to watch you create beautiful things from cast outs You are very creative and spark me to go thrifting to see what I can find for my home . I have to confess I have been thrifting for year and have so many treasures. It's been great fun. Enjoy your summer Sherry. Until next time.😊
That marble lamp transformation is sooo good! Every project was wonderful. So many really great ideas and I really love your collections! Thanks for sharing! Have a great week!
Sherry, I agree with your thinking on big glass jars. For a party fill with candy and a scoop. Also baskets are great for storage and are common finds at thrift stores. I love your blue and white collection.
You 🤯my mind! The cloche, the marble lamp useable 2 ways, your staging-of mantle !!! You just find the most interesting pieces to create. I love, love your channel❤❤
I love your faux vivarium, Sheri! I have found dead bumble bees now and then, outside. Even not living, they are beautiful. I usually give them a little burial and a prayer. But I think I will search for elements to make a vivarium myself. Your vivarium shows a sweet appreciation for nature. Your brass candle lamp is gorgeous! What a find! The marble lamp is really lovely, and I like what you did with it. I prefer the version with the trailing plant. Your collection of blue and white china is so appealing. I have a collection of blue and white china too. I loved seeing the vintage lamp with the doily shade in the new vignette you created with the granny chic chair. I enjoyed this video so much! You are a genius, and I love your sense of style!
Hi Sherry! You have become my husband's & I favorite crafter. You have more unique ideas for turning the blah into beauties, than anyone else we watch. And there are several! You inspire us so much. But the thing you do that Vic just loves, is when you day at the end of your intros is "Let's get started!" Vic joins in with you every time and says it too! It's a hoot 😅. Well keep up the great work girlfriend ! We love ya!❤ Vic & Sherry Morrison , Newark, Ohio
Wow, thank you! I love that you both watch. My husband only watches my videos because he’s my husband! I really appreciate your kind comments and your support!😊
I love everything, but especially the cloche. Finding and adding the butterfly and bee takes it over the top! I like the marble lamp base with the plant. I wish I had your level of imagination to repurpose thrifted items.😊
I remember in the 70s people had glass containers filled with real butterflies and dried flowers…it’s interesting, I have some items that aren’t as showy. My husband absolutely hates bugs in the house -dead or alive!!! What you made is really cute and creative.
Hi. Sherri,. Weird is good. I always think outside the box and decorate eclectic. My friends love the way I decorate and I always here. Look what this is or look at that. Makes me feel good. Loved this video my friend.
That real bee and butterfly were so beautiful. My favorite, if I have to choose. Everything you did in this video turned out amazing. Your videos are the best part of my Mondays.
I can’t wait for your posts each Monday! You are the most creative person I have ever seen! I loved everything but the oil lamp stand with the cloche is my favorite!
Hi Sherry, I loved the vivarium. I went to the thrift store Saturday and saw the cutest thing! Someone took an old treadle sewing machine cabinet and made it into a small vanity, I would loved to have bought it but I truly have no space for it. It is a fantastic idea if you ever run across a cabinet.
Love everything in your home. While I love all these things, I resist the temptation to decorate my home with a lot of items that are just for decorating and doesn't have a function or sentimental value. It's too much dusting for me. I hate to dust. My husband has his mother's silver plated utensils that has her maiden name initial on the handle of each piece. It's not usable as it's very tarnished and the silver is worn off, But it's beautiful. I put all of it in an apothecary jar.
Have you seen the William Morris fabric collection and rugs also??? My granddaughter would adore saving the dead bugs in the cloche. We would have a home full of creatures if I didn't object.
Great tips on how to combine and arrange otherwise disparate items. I admire the treasures you manage to find in your area; "slim pickens" around here...
This was so good I think my brain exploded! 🤯 I love old domes and terrariums. My two sons tease me and call me the Dome Queen. I have one that is over 3 foot tall. Haven’t decided what to do with it yet. Teased my grand daughter when she was little and told her I was going to put her in it. (It didn’t scare her because she knows her gammy is silly) 😝😜🤪😂🤣
Sherry you never disappoint me with all of your fabulous ideas! I happen to like the vivarium and the marble lamp as a candle stand. I will be returning to this video often! Thank you for sharing 😊♥️
Thank you so much, Madonna! I think the Vivarium is one of my all time favorite projects. And, what are the chances that I would find a dead butterfly and a dead bumblebee?
Thank you so much, Madonna! I think the Vivarium is one of my all time favorite projects. And, what are the chances that I would find a dead butterfly and a dead bumblebee?
Sherry, your videos always give me SO much to mull over! Your first piece was my favorite today, but it is always hard to choose. I am going to start looking over very vintage and antique advertising to see what looks unusual in a good way like you did with the cloche. Thanks for another great video!
Your ideas are always inspiring and I enjoy ‘hearing you’ too. I’m quite sure with your soothing speaking cadence and beautiful enunciation, your students loved you too! You’re still teaching!
I think you can make a flower arrangement out of anything. Everything was so cool today .i liked the marble lamp upright best. Thank you dear Sherry for your inspiration.
Your videos inspired me to make a garden mirror. I found an old medicine for free along the side of the road. Detached the mirror, cleaned it, faux painted with black dark green and turquoise craft paint, sealed it and hung it on a shepherd's hook stuck back in the arborvitae hedge. Now I have a "window" into my secret ?? garden room. Thanks for your diy inspirations.
Oh, my goodness! I loved the viverium! I have been trying to turn a corner of my den into a dark academia area. That viverium would be perfect! Now, I’m on the hunt for an old oil lamp!
You always come up with such good ideas,I didn’t have a favorite. Love your creative side your students Must have loved you to the point of not wanting to leave your classes. Thank you for what you did then and for what you are sharing now.
Sherry I love your videos. They are so inspiring and creative. I would not miss your video. See you next Monday. Ps my favourite creation is the one at the beginning with the deceased butterfly. I love it ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
*Sherry, I L🤍VE your Vivarium...and you are NOT weird...I am an insect enthusiast and have been decorating with dead butterflies, moths, bees, beetles🐞 and dragonflies with sticks and faux flowers for decades❣️😁 Anything to up the "real" factor. 😉 I loved today's video‼️🥰💜*
I 🫶🏻 love to see, how small Dutch🇳🇱 'Delfsblauw' (Delft stoneware) souvenirs, like your salt & pepper shakers from the fishing village of Volendam, at one time bought & brought back to 🇺🇲, get such a cherished new place in your home. Just so cute👌🏻☺️. Warmest regards 👋🏻 from Holland🇳🇱.

I love your blue dishes! Especially the Dutch pieces! We went to Aruba, Bon Aire and Curaçao in January. My husband bought several pieces for our collection!
Sherri, I dig your old vivarium. I think it’s great when you can use/repurpose something from nature and give it another “life” by displaying it. I’ve done the same with butterflies I’ve found as well as bird’s nests.
Hello Sherry! I didn't think your 1st revamp was creepy. Love your style and the way you marry items to create beautiful unique pieces. You never let me down, you always encourage and inspire me to look outside the norm. Your creativity is to notch and I appreciate you sharing it with us. I'm always sad when your videos end but can't wait until next week's. 😊
I am also a collector of blue and white porcelain pieces. Have collected for years. Every magazine I pick up now is chocked full of our favorite blues.
Love your home and your motto! It's always been mine..."If you love it, you'll find a place for it"! I recently heard a statement that would fit your home and mine..."the home has accumulated objects and stories as it went along like barnacles on an old ship".
I really enjoyed all of your treasures today. The vivarium, though, was my favorite! I love butterflies and bees so it was particularly fun! I had a dollhouse friend who had an outdoor light that attracted luna moths--one of my favorites. Well, a lot of them died there! She used their wings for fairy wings on some of her dolls! As a child, I collected moths and butterflies; today I only take pictures of them unless I find an already dead one!
Sherry, The vivarium you created is pure happiness for me! Love the look, love the project!! A bumble bee in your window sill? Only you!!!❤Fantastic video with lots of inspiration!!
Sherry, I love all the little touches that are so you. They remind me of my favorite Aunt who passed 2 year's ago. I was very excited for you when I saw the s&p and that beautiful flask. I always think of you whenever I see any Delft or any blue and white pottery. I absolutely love your reading nook, that chair is perfect ❤.
Oh, thank you, Lola! I was in a little privately owned thrift store, and she had all her salt and pepper shakers marked $3! I wondered if she knew they were real Delft.
Sheri, I just sat down to watch your video. We absolutely must be kindred spirits! I have the same exact marble lamp that I bought years ago for $5.00. It had a break too when I bought it. How funny is that? My decorating style is very much like yours. And I have been collecting blue and white porcelain decor for years. But the funniest thing today was that you were using the Howard Feed N Wax today. I took a break to watch your video after polishing a Duncan Phyfe loveseat that I inherited and a round leather coffee table with none other than Howard Feed N Wax. I learned about it a few weeks ago. I have many antiques that I inherited and since I heard about this product, I have been polishing furniture all over my house. Not kidding. Love the way you flipped the marble lamp base to hold a candle. Great projects as always!
I also have a Ducan Phyfe sofa but the bottom springs are touching the floor. I need to flip it over and see if I can repair it. Is that a cleaner and wax? I also have mostly old antiques from assorted relatives.
@@bonnieirwin1621 Good morning, Bonnie. Sorry to be so late getting back to you. The Howard FeedNWax is a wood polish and conditioner with beeswax and orange oil. The directions tell you to get dust off the wood. I use a very light damp cloth so the dust won’t set off my allergies which sets off a sneezing spell. 🤧🤧🤧. I then use an old toothbrush and put just a tad on it and brush into all the intricate carvings (nooks and crannies) to get to all those areas. I also use what looks like a shaving brush like my grandfather used in the old days. I use it making circular swirls on the bigger areas of wood to get it into the wood grain. Then let the wax sit for at least 30 or so minutes. Sometimes if the wood has been extremely dry, I let it cure overnight and then buff off the excess. Hubby’s old undershirts are then used as well. Then buff the wood with a shoe shine brush. I have bought many wood polishes in my day but this product will be my go to product from now on. Hope you can get the springs fixed on your sofa. Hopefully there is an antique repair shop somewhere near you. Let me know if you use the FeedNWax. It is an amazing product!
Mrs. Sherry, I didn't even make it past the faux vivarium cloche! Wow I absolutely LOVE it! You're so right about the really WEIRD & STRANGE things the Victorians collected and used in theirs! When I look at them I always think "WOOOH WHAT THE HECK" I'd been afraid to stay overnight in some of their homes! 😅 I to have a cemetery window that bees and whatever flies by parishes in! You are so creative!! I STILL want you to come stay for a beach vaca! Hahahaha... Edited to add: ok now that lamp is a WOOOWZERS find! Especially for $6 maybe I need to go spend a couple wks with you instead bc our shops NEVER get goodies like that!!!
That first piece is fantastic!! All of your styling is amazing. I have a colorful kitchen with vintage dishes and I keep a large glass jar full of vintage crochet pot holders. P.S. Of course you saved the dead butterfly!!!
Oh, I love the idea of putting crocheted pot holders in a jar! So lovely! It actually made me sad that the butterfly was dead. It appeared to be in perfect condition, so I don’t know what happened to it. Edgar usually just finds old gum in the street!😜
True words…if you love it, you’ll find a way to use it! I’m not a fan of colonial vintage, however, I have a piece I bought because it spoke to me! It comes out every Christmas when it most suits my mood.
If I feel I don’t have room for my new find, I will get rid of something that I no longer love. Sometimes it requires a lot of shuffling around, but that is part of the fun.
You always seem to find nice thrifted arrangements to reuse at your local thrift stores. I wish I could find more like that. Love all of your creations… especially anything using old books!!😁
Every single item you create is terrific. You asked for comments but I don’t have anything to add. Your work is unique and artistic and beautiful. I’d love to be able to see things with your artistic eye. I’m impressed with all you do, and watch your videos every time they come up. Thank you for all the different inspirations. I ❤❤❤
The cloche….. amazing, creative, and stunning. You have a beautiful mind….and home!!
Amen!
Thank you so much, Robin!
That's a lovely way to say it, robininva, and I agree with you 100% -- Sheri has a beautiful mind and home.
I’m a newbie here and I must say I agree! 🗣️💯💕
Ikr..Absolutely gorgeous! ♡
I love the Victorian "whatever you called it" cloche. 😂...the real butterfly and bee were perfect.
Thank you, Brenda! I only knew it was a vivarium from the illustration I had seen. It’s just a terrarium with live animals or insects.
Your comment; "if you love it, you'll always find a place for it" is SO true!! Thanks for sharing this collection of inspirations.
Our Dear Ms. Sherry: I am over the moon for your Vivarium!
Oh, thank you! I’m so glad you like it!
Yikes ! All so great. How do you do it ??
I love the plant lamp!!!! Yay sherry.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊🎉

There’s nothing that can’t be made cute with a birds nest, greenery, moss or a butterfly! So so so cute and pleasing to the eye❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree completely!
Lol! I love that you used the dead butterfly and bee! What a wonderful way to make their short little lives even more meaningful.
I'm so glad to know that other people decorate with dead bugs too!🐝
And skulls too!

Sherry you give us inspiration to do what we like, not what's "on trend". Thanks for making quirky more acceptable.
Love all these items! No I don't think bee and butterfly is weird. The old lamp up or down is amazing ! Just add a rock !!! Love it....
Sherry, I agree with your thinking on big glass jars. For a party fill with candy and a scoop. Also baskets are great for storage and are common finds at thrift stores. I love your blue and white collection.

Thank you, Beth! Would you believe that I found a second dead bumble bee in the window? I don’t know what is going on or where they are coming from!
Sherry you are so creative Your never out of ideas. You find the best things at your thrift shops. You have a wonderful design style.
17:17 Now the only thing missing is a footstool that can be tucked under the chair when not in use! 🥰
I love the alabaster lamp used as a planter holder best. The vivarium looks so good and not spooky at all! I am always amazed at your creativity.
I love the vivarium. Sometimes I make tassels or Christmas ornaments out of vintage salt shakers.
You are amazing, always make me happy when I watch your videos and today I was much needed. Again thank you 🤗💐🐾
You always seem to find nice thrifted arrangements to reuse at your local thrift stores.
The cloche is genius! I love vignettes and do them all over.
