Sherry, I could'nt believe my eyes when I saw that early Amerian canister set! My Aunt Fran gave it to me (also included a bread box) for a my bridal shower. Unfortunately,, we moved many times over the years and somehow the set was lost I have been a fan of farmhouse and country style decor for many years. You did a wonderful job of reviving this classic set. Thank you! XO
Thank you! This sounds cliche, but I have realized that it is true-some of the best ideas come from mistakes. For example, initially, my paint stencil for the drawer didn’t have the words “Canterbury Cottage.” It said “hours” in that spot. But, I forgot to remove the vinyl letters (because I couldn’t see them😜), so I had an empty space there. I decided to make a second stencil that read “Canterbury Cottage” instead (which I think is a better idea). I edited all of this out of the video for the sake of time.
You don’t just paint an item… you tear it apart… make several different things with it to repurpose, reimagine, remake and create a one of a kind treasure! Love how your mind works!😄

I cannot pick a favorite! The wallpaper book brought back memories. A family friend worked at at paint and wallpaper store. My mother was the local art teacher so he gave my mom every discounted wallpaper book!!! We came up with so MANY ways to use those. My most favorite memory was using a cardboard cut out pattern that we traced and cut out by hand and stoles some edges and made May baskets! We made May baskets for all our neighbors. It was so fun!
Love the metal fram and the needle point. It's totally fabulous!! The buggy is as sweet as possible. It's my faviorite !! Then there is the tapestry in the large meta frame. It's gorgeous too !!
I did not think that I would like the canister makeover because they were pretty ugly before you worked your magic. The way you transformed them was amazing! I love how you see the potential in items. The canisters are definitely my favorite project. They turned out so beautiful!

I bought the same pin cushion you did at the dollar store and attached it to a lid on a old Ball jar. I like your bird idea better but need to find a bird like that. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. It makes my morning coffee so special.
Thank you, Chris! I love your idea of adding the cushion to a Ball jar! It is the perfect size for that! I see ceramic and glass animals with holes in them (for votives candles?) quite often at the thrift store. I usually buy them because they look cute with flowers/succulents added to them, too.
Your lamp redo and the baby buggy were my favorite. The trim you use on the lamp shade really added the perfect character to that project. The baby buggy is so, so adorable. Sherry, your creativity just oozes....love your videos. Thanks for sharing!
