She thinks she's being a good person by nature of her position "I give away my company's money"
Really shes a head of corporate bribery. They wouldn't be giving away money it didn't help the business in some way.
The reason they're saying "it could be worse" is because they're not using it as a rational standpoint, they're using it as an excuse to justify their bad behaviour. It's like "Oh, I'm diabetic, I ate a piece of cake, but it wasn't a big piece." No discipline, no accountability, no maturity.
Some people never become intellectual adults.
Listening to her talk is literal brain damage.
Ever do audits with people in good situations? Would be interesting to see and give people something to compare these bad situations too. The reason for asking is because I recently discovered your channel.
This show needs to be called Financial Audacity
Underrated comment 😅
lol I love that idea because it’s perfectly fitting! 😭😭😭🤣

Every single show I'm saying, "The audacity!" 😂
When she said she had a little debt, I was imagining like $2000 not $70k lmao
Yeah I was like oh maybe she got a lil credit card balance.... NOPE
lmao total spoilers dude!
😮😮😮 I'm at the beginning but now I know that the "little debt" indeed is not 1 to 2 thousand
Yes!!!! I thought I misheard and she said 7,000. Mindboggling how people are so (delusionally) optimistic
@@ilovebmoreading comments=spoilers
"Hoping I get married and my husband pays for it." As a woman, I'd absolutely flip out if my to-be husband just expected me to pay his debts. There's no way she's for real.
My fiancé has paid some of my small credit card debts and I felt guilty from him insisting on that. Expecting him to pay my student loans? (which are close to the same amount as hers 🥴 trying to work on it all) I can’t fathom asking him to do that or expecting him to that. Even if he could, it’s not his debt. Simply a mindset of not accepting responsibility.
No one’s marrying that thing it’s ok .
This seems so fake on her part. I think she's under the impression this is an audition for a part.
You would be surprised how many woman expect that and also marry to gain wealth.
Marriage laws are BS
Men always pick up the slack... it's how things work. Personally I wouldn't get within 20 feet of her so she better smarten up.
Being only 24 and having 70k in debt is insane
I’m 24, have $0 in debt, $46k in investments, and $15k in my 401k … I still feel like I’m drowning and will never own a home, rent is %50 of my income…. How these people can think they’re “doing well” is insane… they must be coping because the reality is too much to handle
@@christianmingle3394you're definitely not drowning, that sounds great dude!
@@christianmingle3394comparing is the thief of joy.
You are doing excellent. Many have to wait till 30s to get a home. Keep going for it!
Heck you’ll probably be ahead of others your age who attempt to buy a house.
@@christianmingle3394good on you for the investments, but change your thinking to include a home as an investment as well. If I were only 24 and had almost $50k in investments but no home (mortgage is debt yes but still an investment)? I’d have at least a $25k downpayment and get on with some home ownership.
At 24 I HAD 70k saved up.
I’m convinced 80% of the people who claim to watch this show have never actually watched the show …
I’m convinced none of these people are real 😂😂😂 unfortunately I know they are 😭 crazy that people like this live amongst us
My theory is that they’ve seen shorts on their social media feeds, Tik Tok or instagram, without watching an entire episode , yet to them that equates to having “watched the show”.

When she thinks that she only spends $2k…finding out she spent $8k in a month. My mouth DROPPED
“Money isnt real” girl is obviously completely delusional. If you don’t understand the Stone Age concept of trading goods/services and the basic economy of what money represents in today’s society…you’re sort of doomed.
Hammer needs to have a few people on at various life stages who are willing to share how they are making it work. How never getting into debt changes the equation. How some simple habits & self discipline-all work to save your lives in the future.
The moment she said that I knew she’d never looked at her finances or considered that she could lose her job. Spending *only* $2k in a city actually requires budgeting or at least an awareness of what minimum needs looks like.
@@YuckyMama People hear shit like "Money isn't real" or "The US Dollar isn't backed by gold anymore" and then they think that somehow means they should stop caring about their finances....
I know, crazy, right?
I make $125k a year, have a nice home, 2 kids, and a wife…. And I spend less per month lol.
You can tell that she is used to being taken seriously, and even praised for her job and car and independence. I think she was genuinely shocked that she was not doing better than average.
I didn’t think so. Just seems like she didn’t care
Her parents treated her like a perfect little angel her whole life. She has no concept of the reality of the world in which she lives.
I really don't know what she was so confident for.. Thinking she was above average with her money yet didn't know anything about her finances. When I graduated college at 23 - I came out of school making $71k a year. Lived with two roommates outside of the major city I worked in to save money. Saved $2k a month and was able to put 20% down on a house at 25 years old. That's something to be proud of! Not "It could be worse" mentality. I put alot of money into the house the past 2 years and I made a car purchase that I shouldn't have back in May of last year. I'm currently paying all my debts (17k student loans, 42k for the car) and will never do it again only have 4k left on the car and the student loans will be a cake walk.
@@GageDrumsshould of bought a Honda and and had no car debt
@@FutureDreamZz it's an Acura. It was dumb yes, but I make really good money. I've been able to take the 42k loan down to 4k in 10 months. It'll be paid off this month and then I'll never buy a new car again! Lol. I jumped into it too fast without taking the time to really seek out my options. Market was still in a place where used prices were similar to new. I should've just got something older for a couple years until the market settled then get something newer for cash rather than brand new with a loan
The big deal to her is she’s doing well for 24 but she looks 34 and acts like she’s 4..wild

That "early 20's optimism" wears off real quick when you near your 30s and your debt has only gotten worse.
Yup. And before some of these people realize, they become the 61 year old guest with no retirement and still working at retail.
Yup that’s it!
Exactly!
Spot on comment.
6 years fly by. Before she even realises it, she’s 30 and has to pay her debt for 30 more years. Without retirement savings of course.
I'm a Professional Amazon Hater, but the whole "I wore a hat once and now I'll return it" is such a shitty move. Most items that get returned won't be resold/will go straight into the trash, not to mention all the energy/pollution spent/made shipping crap back and forth. What an absolute waste of time and resources for everyone involved.
Also not to mention the substandard wages paid to the workers and working conditions that hat was made in.
AFTER she arrogantly threw in that she is starting to shop at thrift stores… “sustainability…” 🙃

Absolutely, I was like, "who thinks like this!!"
Yup, that pissed me off. Surprised Amazon doesn’t have a detection system set in place to obviously detect this stuff. Pretty sure independent sellers also get somewhat fucked by this
Spends so frivolously, but wants her student loans forgiven. She is one of the people who should not be looked at for forgiveness. There are people that are struggling, but she is going to London to see Taylor Swift. Insane.
Right?? It's so aggravating, people like this is why the student loan forgiveness was blocked. There are people who genuinely would have their life saved if that was passed, but thanks to people like her, she ruins it for everyone. SMFH
A lot of young people use student loans to pay for rent and food. So when their student loans are forgiven it's really just paying their bills, not for education.
I am so disgusted by student loan forgiveness. I don't care if they have to pay it back for 40 years.
@@Pinkiiiiii9No, the reason student debt forgiveness was blocked is because banks and credit holders are making $$$ on it...

$40,000 RAV4 when she only makes $50,000/ year. Absolute brilliant decision making.
I've driven a RAV4 as a loaner, honestly not the best build. A Corolla or a used 4Runner would've been far, far better.
Agreed the new RAV4 isn’t what it used to be.. Camry/Accord and Corolla/Civic all day. Pilot/4runner if you live where it shows. All used >>>>> new
@500dollarjapanesetoaster8 I fell in love with mine. Test drove a Kona and it was 'meh'. Sat in the Rav and it immediately felt right. All the features have been great for the amount of driving it do (5 to 6 hours to get to FIFO/DIDO job) and the safety features have saved my life a couple times.
Bought it as ex-demo, for cash when I had a high paying mining job, and only bought it as my 14yo Suzi Swift had a bit of potential risk around it (didn't want to break down on my 1 hour drive to the nearest town in outback Australia with single lane roads, kangaroos, and roadtrains). Figured I was financially responsible enough to justify a vehicle upgrade for safety, reliability, and comfort. Wpuld have kept my suzi if I was still in a city as it was still an incredible car, but will say having cruise control was an added luxury too.
A couple of years ago, I bought a 27K car on a 35K salary. To be fair, I had money saved up, and I had a big chunk from insurance from totaling out my previous car.
I ended up financing 10K of it, no interest. My monthly payment is $150, which is pretty reasonable.
My last car lasted me 13 years, and was in excellent condition, when I got into an accident. I would much rather shell out 27K for a car that is going to last me a while, than buy 2 or 3 beaters in the time I could have had the one car the whole time.
But, I completely understand that not every situation is the same.
The irony of being a corporate "philanthropy specialist" and being in charge of corporate social awareness, yet being totally cool with buying crap on Amazon and returning it after using it on a regular basis. So much for sustainability.
It's sad that people like her are in charge of corporation's social and environmental impact/ sustainability.
None of that corporate stuff is real, it's just marketing and/or tax write-offs.
This woman is why Amazon’s return policies have gone into the gutter
I work in an Amazon fc pt that deals with returns and since I’ve started I’ve cut down on my Amazon buying. Also I’ve only returned one item ever since I’ve started my account years ago.
She is the reason why I don’t donate to charities and to companies that ask me to donate the roundup change. F people like her.
Well at least you know the projects she invest her company's money in would produce a reasonable return for the world and isn't invested on a impulsive/emotional basis.

Part of the reason why this chick is so arrogant and thinks she’s doing great financially is because neither of her parents ever made close to $57k individually in their lives. I know this because she said she got for Pell grants for school. And that eligibility is based on her parents’ low income. Signed, a former Pell grant recipient.
Yeah, when she said $57k and said she was doing well I was shocked. That's good but it's not THAT good.
@kasiaweisskopf342 That's good? Maybe back in 2014. 80k is the new 50k
@@leri3365yeah, $57k is definitely not horrendous, but splitting a 2 bedroom with a roommate is $1k right there in Austin. Someone making $57k in Austin at 24, I’d say they’re doing “decent”-ish.
@leri3365 depends where you live. In Oklahoma, that's a liveable income.
Agreed. My mom was poor AF, like I remember not having food and getting a job at 15 so I could buy me and my sister school clothes and our basic necessities to help my mom out. I didn’t even qualify for a pell grant and remember sitting there crying bc I thought “how fking poor do you have to be to qualify?!?!” (It was my dad’s income that put us over but my dad had nothing to do with my life… 🤷🏻♀️😔)

Ok we didn’t focus on this moment enough Caleb is so funny for that. My favorite meme to quote irl
“I’m trying to thrift to shop more sustainably”
“I use things from Amazon once and return them”
Girl you’re the problem
What is bothersome is that Amazon will give you the refund, but when they receive the returned item, they just toss it in a bin and don't bother reselling it because they can cover their losses in other ways...like paying low wages, abusing the work policies, and over-pricing their Amazon Prime on a regular basis.

I've been watching videos like these and it has me shook to the point where I had to go over my finances to figure out a plan. I have $6200 of debt, but debt is debt. I'm glad I'm not drowning in debt, but it's still stressful. I cook at home, I don't go out, I only buy necessities, I don't make ridiculous purchases and I let my husband know what I'm purchasing if it's $100 (stuff that breaks at home, we have a toddler). Also I've been trying to live minimal and don't pay attention to trends or participate in the toxic consumer culture that has everyone brainwashed into thinking they need useless and unnecessary products. I love Caleb! He shames me into making better financial decisions:)
I must be a freak as I never owned a credit card and just didn't buy stuff I couldn't afford.
Right, I’m only 21 but I’ve always been super reluctant to get a credit card because I know I’m impulsive. People need to be more self aware 😂
You can get a credit card just understand it’s not free money.
If anything just have it for emergencies
Not as impressive as some other people on here but I can finally say that in 7 months I was able to pay close to $1,700 in credit card debt thanks to this show. Officially credit card debt free!
Congrats!! Keep it up!
Amazing !! Keep it going 🎉
Congratulations! ✨
Don’t sell yourself short, that is amazing! Congrats to you🎉

"Money is fake" but she uses money to survive and buy stuff??? I never understood that mentality, it screams lack of accountability
Whilst the sentiment isn't technically wrong, you're right. This phrase is used as a pass to spend money like Congress.
Its another one of those phrases that people dont think through. Money is fake because its a numeric representation of your work time. But if you only stop at "money is fake" then you never get to the mentality of "this costs me X number hours of work."
When i quit a job and did ubereats between jobs, it really put the "money=hours worked" in perspective for me
and she says shes responsible with the money she says is fake. lmaoooo
It’s equivalent to people saying “money won’t bring happiness”. Money would literally solve most people’s problems and provide freedom, something you can’t put a price on.
@@AnalyticalMenaceit’s definitely wrong. The concept of money, of medium of exchanges, exist. Specific currencies formally exist to act as these mediums. There’s physical notes representing the monetary value of these currencies which tangibly exist. There are digital records which virtually exist. These are all understandable and observable ideas which exist.
In no way is money not real, unless your definition of reality excludes numbers, shapes, beliefs, behaviours, and contracts, yet simultaneously leans on these to invalidate historical physical currencies made from regular and precious metals on the basis that they are mere bank notes.
Listening to this while driving my second 1999 Honda CRV. I can't believe people need a car from the year we're in, it has never made any sense to me.

Exactlyyy. Even one to two years older and it's LITERALLY a brand new car to me. Let alone several years more. No one needs the newest car unless you're literally getting the latest sports car just to flex 😂😂
That was my favorite car. I was ready to trade my 2017 but it got totaled :(
I love seeing Caleb’s reactions because that’s exactly how I feel when I hear her answers 🙃🙃
First found this channel from tik tok clips. I laughed at how out of touch some of the people were, but then i began to realize that my own finances were also not doing well.
Back in December i found myself with $17,500 in 30% APR credit card debt. Minimum monthly payments of $600 with over $400 interest accruing per month.
Watching a few episodes inspired me to come up with my own payoff plan and i am on track to pay it all off by this time next year. Ive already made almost $4000 progress on the principle.
Thank you for making these. You make financial planning feel more approachable.
Hell yeah dude! Great work and keep at it!
Bravo for taking responsibility and stepping up before things got out of hand!

Holy smoke! Thank goodness you found Caleb and got inspired!
God has interesting ways of humbling us. Good on you for looking at yourself and your own behaviors, and making some changes. It's surprisingly hard for so many people to do that. You should be really proud of yourself. And never forget.. you don't want to find yourself back in that place ever again!
Good luck!
She really said “I am not going to a planet fitness” like ma’am you look like the exact target audience of a planet fitness don’t act like you’re better than that 😂
Couldn't believe what I was hearing when she started looking down on Planet Fitness. She thinks she's too good for PF and thinks she's gonna marry rich?? Completely laughable.

@@TheIronChainMastershe just looks average
PF is the cheapest gym that you'll never go to anyway! LOL
She might have the most BS job I’ve ever heard of. She’ll be the first one fired WHEN the economy goes south.
I actually don't think so with this one. I work at a non profit and regularly collaborate with people in her position from companys cooperate responsibility foundations. Companies basically need corporate responsibility sectors (just like diversity sectors) to remain in the good graces of their customers and stakeholders. Companies are mandated to make donations to good causes for good PR. The non profit I work at usually is on the receiving end of that so I appreciate people who work these jobs. But I would NOT be happy if people like HER were the ones doing it omg absolutely not, her company can keep their money I don't trust it or want it lol
This is absolutely disgusting. It’s your job to allot and delegate funds based on a philanthropic need, but every single purchase you make is the definition of irresponsible. If I was her employer, I would be horrified and would probably be clenching within in of my life knowing there is a need for an immediate audit. To work in finance you should have to provide proof of your own financial literacy before playing with money that isn’t actually yours - which she does on a daily basis. The nerve.
Her spending thousands on a new car and a European Taylor swift concert is exactly why the general public should not be forgiving her student loans
A major problem with student loans is that more often than not they are given to the student rather than directly to the school. Another problem is that kids can take loans to cover housing too.
Exactly 💯
A lot of the loan forgiveness sought is for people who have already been paying for decades, not for people who have recently graduated; a big change the Biden administration has made is to direct the Dept. of Education to honor the agreements made to forgive loans to college graduates who went on to work in public service while paying on their loans for at least 10 years (see blog.ed.gov/2024/04/pslf-processing-improvements-what-borrowers-can-expect/)
This!!! I’ve never owned a car worth anywhere near $40k, even though I could. But she wants to rock a brand new flashy vehicle and have her loans forgiven. wtf. I’ve never seen anyone on this show that I’d feel good about having their loans forgiven.
@@mithicash1444 well we should question why kids should have to take out loans to cover housing anyways… in my college town a single bedroom in a four bedroom apartment is reaching $1300. If you want less roommates, you pay even more! A normal apt is $1500/ 1 bedroom. They’re making a KILLING off of these students who have to go into debt to afford it.
how can a student afford 1300 for rent in school? I worked full time in school and I know I couldn’t afford that $1300 by myself…
What is the other solution? College is getting more expensive by the year and it’s not like we can’t have anyone going to college so many jobs do rely on degrees, despite what people say.
Also, loans are given to the school and leftover funds are dispersed to the student in most cases.
$40,000 vehicle on $57,000 salary is insane and she is going to say she can't sell it, I already know it. She's going to be in debt at 44 complaining about how the government/ society/ everyone but her didn't help her.

Why was she not called out for this gross habit of buying things off Amazon, using them once, and then returning them? Where does she get off thinking that is ok??
She wasn't called out on it because this is a show strictly judging her finances. From a *strictly* financial standpoint, what she's doing is technically a good thing (versus just keeping the products that is), even if it's gross from a moral standpoint. It clearly makes her bank statements harder to read, though.
