Doesn't matter if you're not driving when you're using, you can't have it in your system at ALL. I work in tech and as you said, work the same hours every week, see the same people, know what to expect from my responsibilities, i am a permanent employee etc… and i can’t put in words how much inner peace and mental stability having a decent stable job can bring you in general. They can then extradite them to the state with the warrant where they will be tried. But, the state doesn't have to do that. Also, the state with the warrant doesn't have to accept the extradition. For example, if you have a warrant for murder or something in, say, Alabama, and you get pulled over in, say, Ohio. Ohio can see the warrant and will arrest you. They will then call Alabama and say, "Hey, we got your fugitive. When are you coming to pick them up?"
Now, if it's something like failure to appear in Kansas and there pulled over in Texas, Texas can choose not to enforce the warrant. Also, if Texas chooses to arrest based on the warrant, Kansas can decide its not worth the resources to go pick them up. In that case, they basically say, "Let them go. Tell them not to show their face around here."
And just for funsies, if multiple states have warrants, the states take turns prosecuting and punishing them. The attorney generals all get to decide the order. Generally, the most severe charges with the strongest chance to convict (and potentially the harshest sentences) get dibs, but you finish a jail sentence in one state, they then send you to the next state in line and you get to have another jail sentence.

However, a parent has an outsized influence in how children develop life skills because they’re responsible for raising children into adulthood. I really like my career. Not lying! At least once a week I have a GREAT time at work, and the rest of my time is anywhere from tolerable to enjoyable! But my time off is MUCH more enjoyable. I absolutely agree that Americans are generally overworked and underpaid, and drawing boundaries with your workplace is good (declining unplanned overtime without compensation, not working without pay, demanding basic respect like legal breaks that you actually get to take, etc.). But refusing to work at all is weird to me. Some of the most enjoyable jobs I've had have been part-time casual, like a second job. If I were to take 2 or 3 of those, work 15-20 hours each, I could make a decent schedule and life, and make good money. I wouldn't let a sup guilt me into working over ("sorry, I have other plans"), work was left at work, and everything was scheduled at least a week in advance!

You'll love them. 4 kids by "2" guys (though 1 of the kids is clearly mixed race and the "parents" are all pretty clearly majority a single race), drugs, violence, dead beat losers, laughs at the idea that getting out of crippling debt is possible, job jumping, blames everyone else for their issues, insists sites like "OF" are where generous rich guys pay struggling women out of the kindness of their hearts with the pictures and services being a goofy little side note that aren't used for any explicit purpose whatsoever, having passed out unconscious on her baby and literally having been brought back to life weren't enough of a wake up call to change things.
Oh, and they have lied to, stolen from, and generally screwed over literally everyone who has tried to help before blaming them for "ruining her life" if they stop.
Shall I go on? Hmm, I should recommend she go on this show. That'd be an insane episode.

I used to be homeless. Was kicked out on the streets by my mom and she took everything but the clothes on my back. I was lucky that the rest I attempted to leave was due to me lining up a new place with a friend, but I had a few months until it happened.
I remember screaming, sobbing, shaking, being unable to sleep. I still went to work. I still fucking went to my shitty factory job because it was all I had and I needed it. Even though I suffer from a lot of mental and neurological issues, I knew this is what I had to do or I had to admit I needed assisted living.
I now work salary. I am currently waiting for my plane to go on a business trip to Houston. Committment is hard but it is worth it if it is for you. Don't give up if you truly want change. Things change around. Doing your best doesn't guarantee opportunities, but it means you'll be ready when it comes.
Watching this is so heartbreaking because her child needed her and she wasn't. There. As someone with autism, I just couldn't imagine. This isn't normal to think -- it is leniency, lack of real-life connection, and lack of consequences. Mental health or not, they should go to jail because she will learn that mistake and hopefully move from there.

Hopefully she can see all of this and have a fresh start.
