It has the the same towing capacity at the hemi so the only real advantage is fuel economy while towing

The Ram has the best real world tail gate. Being able to open the tailgate with the trailer hooked up is very convenient.
I had a Ram Rebel as a rental, I loooved driving that thing it's so tall.

Love the interior on these Ram trucks and though I'm no fan of them, they're too much of a mental adjustment under a quick reaction situation, but I even like the button gear shifter because of where it's located. Not to mention, I like how they can appear to be basic looking to the average person, but can be way more luxurious if they're familiar with how they can be equipped. Thanks for posting.

My dad's friend has a Ram 1500 with an EcoDiesel. He loved the engine so much, I've never seen him go for a Ram that isn't an EcoDiesel.
@9:45 I agree with Yuri. The screen looks nice but in practicality if it was a half screen size it would give the same effect and be more practical.
i would like it if it would actually full screen map and backup camera, idk if it does, but if not, it can be just 8.4 and hard buttons and nobs for me

I think the GM tailgate is definitely the best. It looks nice and has the best of all 3
But the silverado front end looks the worst out of all three.
The best tailgate is a standard tailgate. These split tailgates are just asking for rust after a few years

@@MrComputerCoder I drive a 2019 Silverado 2500 with the 6.6L Duramax... that is NOT all diesels..lol. My truck weighs more than Oprah and pulls like a freight train. These small displacement diesels in the light duty trucks just dont do it. I would rather have a big gas engine that can tow just as well and lose a couple of MPGs (which evens out due to the cost of diesel anyway) and maintain the daily driveability. I had a 1500 with the 6.2 V8 in it and that truck was a BLAST to drive. This Ram looks boring as hell. They should have renamed it the Nudge or Bump. I dont think this thing could Ram into anything.
It wasn't near operating temps yet, that's how the cummins are too. It has to be at a over 150 degrees for it, deliver the power due to the emissions system.

A few days ago, I was able to use Android Auto in JDM Nissan Leaf. It was my lifesaver. Stock JDM Nissan infotainment system was rubbish.

The Ram Rebel EcoDiesel towing numbers are pretty impressive at 12,500 lbs. especially considering that the Ford F-150 Power Stoke diesel maxes out at 1,000 lbs less. In the right configuration though the F-150 does have the highest towing capacity of over 13,000 lbs. but I think that’s only in a two wheel drive crew cab F-150 with the 3.5 liter EcoBoost. Regardless the half ton trucks out today have higher towing capacities than the one ton offerings from the past had 20-25 years ago. The mid 1990’s one ton dually trucks from Ford, Chevy and Dodge all topped out at around 10,000 lbs max towing capacity with the F-350 having a max of 12,500 lbs. They’re triple those numbers today. The automotive industry has definitely seen some major improvements over the last 25 years. No complaints from me about that.

I have a 2015 Ram Big Horn with the Hemi, and it's been great. I'd buy a new Ram with the Eco Diesel since the only thing that I'd change on my truck is fuel mileage and the lack of Android Auto. But the price on new trucks are becoming extreme. The extra money to buy a new truck buys alot of gas, and the new ones aren't that much better. I look forwards to the Rimac, but I think the range when loaded or towing maybe too much of a compromise, plus the price maybe out of my reach

I wanted an ecodiesel but got a great deal on Laramie sport with a regular hemi...
If you haven't tested the GM I6 duramax , do it. 20 less peak torque. But the GM makes its torque lower and holds it longer. It also has 27 more HP. It's quick for a diesel truck.
I lime the rams tailgate because it's more useful. You can reach further inside the bed by opening it like that.
You guys should review the Land cruiser 200 diesel the torque is crazy

I like diesels, glad to see more models offering them here in Canada. But I'm curious why everyone always shits on VW for their diesels but FCA(and others) were involved with the whole scandal aswell.
Ram has the better tailgate for heavier work. You don't need to extend and possibly strain your back when grabbing something heavy out of the bed (such as firewood or bricks), as well as an easier time loading and unloading using a forklift because the tailgate it out of the way allowing you to drop something all the way in the back of the bed.
Andrew Lampart I like the features it has the most like you said, but dislike that it’s dependent on electronic buttons and not physical latches. I’m sure they’re reliable enough but fear lots of issues when they get older or cost much more when the inevitable happens.
I'm going to buy a Limited when I get back to the states next year because it's so luxury. I won't be doing any towing, no plans on buying a boat and no off roading.
I'm in the minority that will be buying this truck just because it's very nice looking on the inside and great mileage.
Buys a truck with no plans to ever use it as a truck, simply because it gets "good mileage".

I don’t see how voice controls could possibly be more distracting than a phone in your hand. Even if you’ve never used CarPlay or Android Auto you could sit stationary in a car for 10 minutes first and have it totally figured out! That does sound like a BS article.

I like the ford's tailgate because i hate how it looks when there is just a line going through it. Also i think the steps are the most useful.
i tend to agree, but i have read that the ford tailgate steps arent always reliable - there have been issues with them freezing up in the cold, or just not working at all (like Jakubs). I think the Ram split gate looks fine in dark colors, the black gap on the white paint background is really noticeable.

I am surprised that with that much torque, it did not at least feel a little fast off the line, even though it is not a speed demon.
That might be the Turbo-lag combined with a non-performance-optimized programming of the transmission. In addition, this engine has a rather short rev range. I also have a diesel (but combined with a manual transmission) and it accelerates relatively good, but not from a standing start.
