i decided to read *painting* as *life* and make my own life a masterpiece. Bob, you will be always alive in our memory.

I like how as the show and the seasons and the years went on he got more comfortable with the cameras and allowed himself to just get lost in the painting and you really saw how excited and joyful it made him feel to paint

In the 90’s when I was just a little kid 4, maybe 5 years old I would lay on my grandmas couch and just listen to Bob’s voice anytime the show came on. I would close my eyes and just listen to him talk and it would make me feel so at peace!

You can really see the progression between season 1 where he was very awkward and the dialogue was choppy to season 31, totally confident and knowing exactly what he was going to say. Watching him brings so many memories of my childhood.

I've been a Bob Ross fan since the early 80's and he inspired me to paint. I have several DVD box sets of Bob painting. I always watch them when life starts to feel like it's getting out of hand.
Bob was an absolute master with that fan brush for trees. Bob was also an absolute gem of a human

Back when this show was in its first run, at one point I was heavily pregnant (I ended up 2 weeks late), the size of Jupiter and it was a miserably hot August. We had only one AC and I would crap out on the sofa in the living room and listen to Mr. Bob Ross and just zone out blissfully. I've never picked up a paint brush in my adult life but now that I've found him on UA-cam, I listen to him from time to time to fall asleep and ponder how it has happened that my little girl who I truly believed was never going to actually be born, is now 34 with a little girl of her own. I try not to hold it against her that she delivered 2 weeks early. That's my Bob Ross story; we all have one.

Me and and my siblings used to watch his show on Saturday mornings when we were kids in the 90’s. I always feel nostalgic when hearing his voice and the theme music to the show. Bob’s legacy lives on 🕊️🙏🏾🎨👨🏼🦱

I have terrible anxiety and depression, Bob ross genuinely helps me. I have no interest in painting, but it's just nice and simple. No anger or headaches. It's just a calm painting video ×
Honestly, watching this makes me realize what garbage I'm putting into my head most of the time - really unpleasant (if compelling) news stories, blog posts, Twitter threads. The stuff really takes a toll on you over time.

as a child, at the age of 8; I woke up at 5:00 am to see BOB ROSS. it was the only time they broadcast it. on weekends .. I just didn't set an alarm, I did it out of inertia thanks to Bob and his magical phrases like [you can be free .. on the canvas * they marked me a lot .. and that triggered art nowadays It will revolve around my life .. today I am about to finish my educational career as an architect .. THANK YOU BOB.
