dude paints so effortless just shows how much of a master he was, he's so quick to make an incredible painting, very impressive, rip mr ross
He painted each landscape about 200 times and they edited together the final episode from about 3 or 4 takes where he didn’t curse or use a racial slur.

Couldn't agree more! I loved his show when I was a kid and still love seeing his videos now into my 40s. He was so talented and seemed to be such a good person. Very funny too. He is definitely missed.

Think of all the paintings he did that didn't get aired (like when he was teaching). Also, I think he had 13 paintings finished for the 32nd season which unfortunately we never got to see.

Yep....Our local PBS station airs a Bob Ross marathon on his Birthday....24 hours of his painting episodes back to back....I discovered Bob as a kid when I was home from school with a cold and flipping through the TV channels....He was able to make me feel a little bit better and before long I'd be sleeping off my cold and fever :) I always thought he was from the 60s and/or 70s or something and his shows were reruns with his hair and clothing and the fact he seemed so peaceful....all that stuff.....But as it turns out, his shows were actually in production at the time....LOL....And thanks to the internet....I've managed to watch every single one of his episodes, (aside from the "guest host" episodes....While I know he meant well having guests like the portrait lady, the flower painting lady guest, the guy who sculpts little figurines out of model clay....and his Son Steve....The only good episodes are the ones where Bob was doing the painting episode....and the guest host shows were total duds and flops...I think maybe part of why he had guests was also times when he was out for medical stuff....In fact the last shows were being moved to I believe Branson, Missouri or something for medical and health reasons.... ) So other than the guest host episodes....I've seen every one of his episodes....and I have one of his painting books and a couple DVDs :) what's sad is his very last episode he talks about how the show was relocating to a new location....and that he would see everybody next week....Then I think days later he had passed away....sad stuff....He seemed like a really great guy :)

When the universe started with a nice even thin coat of liquid hwhite, God was having a good day. He knew he was going to create Bob Ross and paint the world to beat the devil out of it. Then Bob wished us a happy painting and left us with some beautiful trees and a blessing.
Lord, you make sure to give this man the very best your heaven has to offer. It's Bob Ross, after all and he's worthy of the best!

+Eskim012 You mean like painting ASMR channels? I'm not sure. I watch KevinOilPainting's channel and he uses Bob's techniques for more realistic results and his voice is very good. Unfortunately the videos are edited down so there's really no time to settle in.

When I watched Bob on TV about 30 years ago, I remembered that my dad bought some painting materials that he might be able to do.
My dad is sick and can't paint anymore, but I'm a designer because of my dad's influence.
I was deeply moved to meet Bob again.

I've been struggling with depression and anxiety for years. Roughly a year ago, I discovered the marvellous Bob Ross on UA-cam. Such a nice kind man with a humble heart. I'm no painter myself but use his tutorials as relaxation late at night. I always sleep safe and sound after watching a Bob Ross video. God bless you, Bob.

Thank you so much Bob, (RIP), only started watching this early December 2020, (happy little accident :),and in that last fifteen minutes of one of these shows I understood more about painting than nearly forty years of money wasted on books, teachers etc. And you did it for free, as well as charity's and feeding the critters. Only jealous people would say negative things about you, to me you were /are Perfect Mr Bob Ross. Thank you for thinking of the big picture.

This episode is from the 90's his dressing is bit different but still that same happy face & calming voice. I'm 35 yrs young . & I remember tuning in to my public access channel or PBS every weekend to watch bob paint 🎨
