Bob Ross was a part of my childhood in the 80s 💗 Brilliant artist. His passion for painting and humble presence is what drew me to his afternoon shows.
Although I’ve always heard about Bob Ross I’ve never actually watched anything he’s done til now. But damn, not only did he seem like such a chill, relaxed person, he is actually extremely talented at both painting and explaining simply how to paint. Definitely gonna watch more of these. RIP to the OG
DJSlipstream1 it is it really it. If ppl only knew. You don’t have to paint as he does. Just paint. Find what u are good at. Painting and discovering your talent is an awesome experience. I know a person who discovered he had talent painting is such a unique way, that nobody has ever seen before. He loved creating art and he made beautiful painting and gave them to friends, then he sold them. You know what they say, do what u love and the money will follow.
He was in the military for many years, and he was the guy everyone hated because all he did was scream at everyone. Then one day he just decided he never wanted to raise his voice again, started his business selling his own brand of painting supplies, and this is the result. Amazing man. (He was not paid one penny for the videos, he made all his income from the Bob Ross line of supplies.)
fun fact, he was a drill sergeant, so he basically did nothing but yell at people most of the time in the air force. It eventually made him decide he didn't want to yell anymore, so here we are
When i was a kid a news channel used to stream those. I never ever trought after almost 14 years later i would type a comment being able to watch all these pieces of art anytime i want. You live in my heart, right where that kid lives Bob.
I put this on while doing some homework as an alternative to my usual music playlist. That was a mistake because I got so captivated by his voice that my eyes were glued to the screen. By then end the only words I had written on my paper were my first and last name, not even the date. Bob Ross, you are the only person that could and still can capture and person's attention, from any age group or from any nationality. You are the light to this world. We miss you, but all know you are still up with your happy little clouds in your own world of your creation. You not only changed lives, Bob, you changed the world.

Bob Ross was taken away from us much to early ,i love the way he inspires so many to pick up a brush ,and learn that they can make magic on a canvas. Miss this wonderfull man sooo much
I've been watching this show for around 40 years. I really miss him. I dont care how nany times ive seen any episode. I can have an absolutely exhausting day, & I'm filled with stress, anxiety, & frustration. However, all I have to do is put this gentle soul on the TV and long before the end of the episode, I've become calm, relaxed, & realize life isn't as bad as I sometimes think it is. 3 observations: 1, The Lord gave us this wonderful man to the world as a clear example that it doesn't really take very much to realize that everything is going to be ok. Judt be chill and paint away with ease. Be happy. Be interesting. Be whimsical. 2, This master has got to have the greatest natural Jewfro I think this planet has ever seen (Hey, I'm Jewish by birth, so I can say that.) 3, I'm not exactly sure where this amzingly beautiful soul lived, but I can guarantee with 100% certainty that who ever supplied the grass in Bob's area of town would go see him 1st, and leave with about a 1/10th left of what he arrived at Bob's house with 😂. Msy this blessed soul continue to paint masterpieces with great happiness & joy, so all of Heaven can see just how amazing the Lord is when he decides to create a new person. 😊

MysteriousNinja He was made fun of profusely in the early days. And it wasn't right. But it took society turning to all hell to appreciate who this man really was.
The guy who taught him how to paint and basically gave him the inspiration to make this show ended up hating him because he thought Bob stole his idea. Which..... Not gonna lie, everything besides bobs personality is pretty obviously stripped from the other guys show.
I so agree. When the show became so popular it is rather strange the format was not changed to 60 minutes per episode. I guess the executives would not think outside the box.
Yeah. You couldnt really paint alongside him in those because he didnt have the time to tell you about all the stuff you needed and couldnt explain how to do certain parts in much detail.

My wife and I loved Bob's shows even though we never painted , and were very saddened by his death. The gentle voice and relaxed manner should be an inspiration for everyone.
Can't believe it's been nearly 30 years since his passing in 1995.
I used to watch him as a kid. I had forgotten how beautiful the sound is of a brush against the canvas, and his voice is therapy.
As a kid in the 80s I remember being amazed at how easy he made this look, and I’m no less amazed as an adult.

3 observations:
1, The Lord gave us this wonderful man to the world as a clear example that it doesn't really take very much to realize that everything is going to be ok. Judt be chill and paint away with ease. Be happy. Be interesting. Be whimsical.
2, This master has got to have the greatest natural Jewfro I think this planet has ever seen (Hey, I'm Jewish by birth, so I can say that.)
3, I'm not exactly sure where this amzingly beautiful soul lived, but I can guarantee with 100% certainty that who ever supplied the grass in Bob's area of town would go see him 1st, and leave with about a 1/10th left of what he arrived at Bob's house with 😂.
Msy this blessed soul continue to paint masterpieces with great happiness & joy, so all of Heaven can see just how amazing the Lord is when he decides to create a new person. 😊
