The line "maybe we'll be with you for many, many more years" meant years and years and years and years and years and years and years and years of reruns, even after the show ended in 1994 and its host and creator Bob Ross passed away a year later.

I think that light paint on one side of the brush and dark paint on the other side of the brush is just the coolest trick.

im having a bad night. a mix of anxiety and depression and artblock and a minor manic episode. bob ross always reminded me of my papa (my grandfather) who died about 6 years ago. i miss him dearly and i thought watching some bob ross might cheer me up. i hope everyone is doing well.

Holy fuck this... Literally indescribable... So addicting, watching Bob or simply anyone paint. Or 'Something like that'. Bob's voice is so gentle and calming.
Bob Ross was the only man that never did anything bad he was always there for us telling us there are no mistakes just happy accidents.
I grew up with Bob Ross. His show started the same yr I was born, so as I grew up I'd watch him in the mornings while eating breakfast. I found him completely fascinating and I still do. Sunday mornings were the best, curl up in bed and watch him paint! Occasionally the station would run a marathon, you couldn't get me out of bed until it was over! I'm so happy there are so many episodes, he was a good man taken too soon.
Can't believe we're at the last episode of the second last season! I've truly enjoyed making Bob a part of my day every day. For anyone who has been watching along too, I honestly recommend you try painting. I started painting about a year ago after watching Bob, and it really is as easy as it looks! And this is coming from someone who thought he had zero artistic talent otherwise!
Anyways I love this episode, waterfalls are amongst my favourites for sure.
Guess I will try it out :)

By this time, 390 episodes were filmed and 13 more were just around the bend. I was ready for Bob Ross to enter into 1995 only to find out he died of lymphoma. 😢 Broke my heart because he was an inspiration.
One season left guys, lets make it count.
This painting was extremely unique in design. It had an almost oriental feel with the background, and all of the lush greenery added to this painting superbly. The waterfall, and even little things such as the rocks on the top of the waterfall, look different from normal ones, but in a great way The way Bob made the falls crash and flow and give great depth by leaving darkness in the trees, all made for an amazing ending to this season.

Bob Ross is truly the king of being
This has always been my sentimental favorite episode. Back in the mid-90s I had VHS tape that I made filled with Joy of Painting episodes that I would watch to help put me to sleep. My parents always thought it was so funny, lol. ASMR was not “a thing” back then. This was the first episode on my homemade tape and usually never made it to the next episode, but still remember this one very well 🙂

Took the day off to await the arrival of my oil set. Bob has inspired me to take up the brush for the first time in many years. He is also holding me up, because right now, I am waiting for the good times to come around, too.
Thanks Bob Ross for giving people a soothing, calm, and relaxing Painting Demonstration show that helped many people go to sleep and heal bad feelings. Thanks for 31 seasons - (1983-1994) of great educational television! We're all blessed and thankful to have the whole series available on UA-cam.
Just the way he creates stories behind each bit of his drawing really does just keep you up with why he's doing what he does and keeps you interested, such a talented man rest on peace Bob

He seemed rushed when he first started but as he progressed he grew more happy and more relaxed and this was one of my favorites yet, and I’ve been watching tons lately. Just did my first oil following one of his videos a few weeks ago and had a blast. We love you forever Bob and you definitely are immortal! PS: thanks for putting my 5 year old to sleep, he loves you too and he loves painting but when he’s tired your voice always drifts him off to dreamland!

What an amazing man and artist. I have been painting for about 20 years, and he is my inspiration. I used to watch him live in the 80s and early 90s, before his death and re-runs started after 1995. He has inspired me to also be a better man through his positivity and morals. This man was surely special. No doubt about it. God always takes the good ones from us to young. His legacy will never die, but only grow. God bless. 😊🎨

Bobs right a painting is near to immortal: songs are useless if the language is unknown, a legacy can easily be forgotten by ignorant minds and money will eventually be worth nothing, yet a painting can speak to all minds cannot be forgotten if preserved well and Will always have value in mans heart.

For those of you who don’t know why him saying “we’ll be with you for many more years” is so sad is becuase this was the last episode he managed to film before his cancer diagnosis.
Many years ago I "discovered " Bob Ross while in a hotel during a 3 month missionary furlough from Brazil. I was hooked instantly and so sad that I didn't get to see him while living abroad. No cable with his show there then. I am so thrilled his shows are free on UA-cam now! I painted my 1st completed oil painting just 3 weeks ago! Thanks for all you gave us, Bob. We all miss you!
