Nice video! I love Moonkinght, and I have a nice volume called "Split personality" where Khonshu talk to Mark and Steven, and told them that his power are a bit "more" than what they understood, he explained that some of his gift change with the lunar phases, like hyper regeneration, 4th person point of view, enhanced strength and dexterity, and in more cases, a more nitid and marked split in the personas inside of the avatar, because "as the moon change face, the avatar have to change face, and as the moon change shape, the avatar must change his abilities" and that some of them will "inherit" skills from other night wanderer, foreshadowing the fact that the "moonless face" of moonknight is the weaker, but the more cruel even going so far as to commit torture and scarification to "brand" the criminal he get his hands on... Just impressive.

MPD is what it was called many years ago. The accurate term is Dissociative Identity Disorder. It means there aren't multiple personalities but the core personality of the host has been fractured from trauma and there are parts of it that have broken off to help defend the host. That's not always the case because some alters aren't friendly with the core personality. Because of body dysphoria, or other negative feelings the host had about themselves. DID is not fun, it's damn scary most of the time. It's only when the host accepts his/her parts as being pieces of them that any peace can happen. Sorry about the lecture. I feel the need to correct misinformation about DID whenever I hear or see it. People with mental illnesses or disorders are not lepers. They need professional help and support from their loved ones. Too bad so many in this country seem to think mental illnesses are equivalent to contagious diseases or demon possessions. 😠

Why is the narrator constantly misdiagnosing Marc Spector as having Split Personality Disorder? It's DID, dude! If you're going to make a vid of the character, get your facts straight. Bruce Banner/Hulk is more Split Personality than Marc Spector. Bruce/Hulk, however, is more like Jekyll/Hyde in the beginning. Say it with me, Mr. Narrator...Marc Spector is DID, not SPD.
THANK YOU like seriously I understand that some people who are reacting to Moon Knight don't know much about his story or D.I.D or are still using old terms like split personality, M.P.D, etc but if some people like this are gonna make videos on Moon Knight at least actually know what you're talking about, shit like this is really just misinformation out of pure ignorance and doesn't help any systems or the identities in those systems. I swear I feel like D.I.D has never had actual accurate representation in the media except for the few individuals who actually have D.I.D that post information about it.
@@deltatmi6730 a "split personality" is not a thing. These are identities, separate people, not just changes in someones personality. The term "split personality" has been used in media to represent people with D.I.D inaccurately and even violently, so even if YOU know the facts, plenty of people really don't that's why it's important to use the clinical definition and clinical terms. "DID was called multiple personality disorder up until 1994 when the name was changed to reflect a better understanding of the condition-namely, that it is characterized by fragmentation or splintering of identity, rather than by proliferation or growth of separate personalities."
I rather prefer it being called SPD because it doesn’t try to portray the very rare and debilitating real-life mental disorder known as Dissociative identity disorder/DID in harmfully incorrect fashion in the show. DID is a dissociative disorder that, in the show, does not accurately portray the correct symptoms that Mark would be experiencing with a full on dissociative amnesia form of DID, among a PLETHORA of other harmful ideas portrayed within the show one example being communication between alters in mirror reflections and the instant ability to communicate with a different personality after realizing you have one. It’s better to call it how it is, Moon knight’s DID as portrayed in the show depicts a severely fantastical version of the disorder that only really focuses on the presence of another personality and nothing else, so it’s better for everyone to call it Split Personality disorder, which doesn’t exist, instead of DID
(Spoiler for 1st episode) At first, I thought that Khonshu is basically Mark in the mirror but now everything seems clear when Steven doesn't know what day it is.
Welp now I know that there are multiple personalities just by scrolling through my feed and getting a brief glimpse of the title. There goes the fun and mystery
Moon Knight used to be part of the “West Coast Avengers” and currently in the comics, Black Panther (who is the current leader of the Avengers) is keeping tabs on MK by way of Tigra... my point is it is possible
Okay… I understand peak human levels of fighting and strength gifted by a god. But moonkight fighting with the punisher to a standstill? Bruh. That’s like saying Batman and the penguin managed to draw in a 1v1
Moon Knight also killed Deadpool.. And is 1 of only 3 people ever to be able to lift Thor’s hammer 🤷🏾♂️ (Thor & Iron Man being the only other two) Folk underestimate MK’s power
I guess Mr Knight is a brilliant detective 🕵️♂️ because the super suit protects the user and gives him a confidence boost that only emotional masking can provide.

Konchue in this universe is a real class act ass. Other specifically chose a severely mentally unstable individual to throw into a life of absolute chaos or made him insane before making fight puppeteering his mind in his very skull
Not a hint... full on Jake and feel like Jake will be dominant in episode 4.. or half and half with Marc and episode 5 will be Jake mostly and episode 6 will be all of them working together
The tv show is definitely getting better than the comic since the new moon knight has more of konshu powers in his suit and doesn’t rely on gadgets in my opinion if ur the avatar of a Egyptian god the supernatural powers is definitely a push in the right direction
Yeah, but as in episode 3 the other God’s said they don’t like him using masks and weapons, and meddling in human affairs... hence why having less or no powers would appease them more
I am a slow learner so I was very confused while watching the show, but I feel this video made me understand moon knight a bit more. So he has multiple personalities and each one learned many different things? So during a fight he’ll switch back and forth depending on how it goes? Right? And a question I have was that how come after switching personalities mid fight how come he’d be on a roof top then somehow back on the street?
That's the pure mental health angle from the comics. Bassically they depict Marc/Steven as him being in a mental institution and everything he experienced that was Konchu related didn't really happen and or a convo may have happened but, he wasn't flipping around and killing Mofos all over the place! Just imagine him being the same character with his DID, but subtract all the Konchu personalities and fantasy elements! Hope that kinda makes sense. 😂
People think Split Personality is because of trauma but what if it we use the theory called multi-verse? you see no one knows who moon knight really is without a "vessel" of which khonshu chooses. Each Personality or Identity creates different Versions of Moon knight himself "Cause a warrior can't always be fighting as a trait but rather uses strategies to take advantage of the battlefield"
I believe Taskmaster fears two people. Deadpool because Taskmaster can’t get a grip on how he fights, and Moonknight because the way Moonknigt fights is pure offense, hence the no dodging and blocking.

I've waited twenty years for this! Re-reading all my fav MK stories to prepare, I don't think there's been any character I've been more excited to see on screen as this one.
What do you think of the show so far?
You and me both.!!!
@@tvnnr absolutely loving it! The cinematography alone is so good and so smart with its use of mirrors and mirrored surfaces illustrating the multiple personalities and I also thought the way they decided to utilize the Mister Knight costume was really smart. I’m always excited to see characters that are new to me !!!
I’m loving the show so far, I’ve only read like two MK comics but this show has me wanting to pick up an omnibus or something
Moon Knight of Vengeance
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
Coincidence, I THINK NOT!
The first person called ghost rider in marvel looks similar to moon knight. It was a cowboy dressed in all white with a white horse. It’s actually pretty cool. They later renamed him to Phantom rider after the most know Ghost rider was made.
@@nerd7834 Technically they first renamed him to Night Rider after the other Ghost Rider, but then changed it to Phantom Rider... probably once they realized the bad racial connotations of the term night rider.
@@nerd7834 he isn't the first ghost rider anymore the first one was a cave man that rides a mammoth that's on fire

I understand that you have no ill intentions towards people with DID (dissociative identity disorder) or OSDD (other specified dissociative disorder) when using "personality" and "split personality disorder" as terminology, but those terms have been outdated since around 1994. The term you should be using when talking about people with DID and their systems is "Alters/Parts"! Have a good one!
Did you just treat them like pronouns?
That’s completely stupid and you should just treat them like a disorder because that’s what it is, not some quirky thing you can put in your bio
You’re genuinely disappointing and disgusting
Because literally I have never heard of anyone use the “new terms” because everyone says the one we normally use
Mainstream appeal vs medical terminology. I would accept both. As the alters can also be the main if they choose to converge
Boohoo you don’t have DID they don’t need you being unnecessarily righteous for them

It’s not insanity it’s not called Mountain personality disorder it’s called dissociative identity disorder
He is also insane
Yes, although many times in the comics it called it those other things
It wasn’t til recently that the DID “diagnosed” MK with DID, and it has needed to be politically correct ever since then... there is even a cover with the word “schizophrenia” above MK’s head... so over the years all the common names has been associated with him..
NOW, you are correct, they come to terms that he has DID... but you gotta understand that and why folk would say the others, if they have read old MKs
Hey I know this is a small detail but the proper name for “split personality disorder” is DID aka dissociative identity disorder I know it’s not a common mental disorder but it’s important that when it’s talked about it’s done properly:)
moon knight doesnt have did split personality suits him better as its if he has humans who are in a host body sharing it but are separate humans who have a brain in a sense
@@xgnkninja1953 I’m saying the proper term for split personality disorder is DID and it would make more sense then saying moon night has a split personality because he has multiple identities. Idk if that makes sense ;-;
@@xgnkninja1953 That's incorrect, he developed DID after a traumatic event in his childhood. They were never different people.
@@xgnkninja1953 It literally says he has DID in the comics and the shows plot synopsis says “Mild-mannered Steven Grant has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with a mercenary”
@@jacobpamplin6449 well they are considered different people or as its called an alter.
i cant wait to see how they play out D.I.D, M.P.D i hope its not to far from acurate
Me too! I hope they don't mess it up.
@@kaithorenfawkes8312 hey listen here pal ive had M.P.D or D.I.D since i was little and i come to great terms with my alter and i dont need a lecture on how f***ed up my brain is okay so

@@damonmoles8306 i don't think this was targeted at you. Since this IS a public forum, not a lot of people are knowledgeable about this kinda stuff. That being a reply to your comment is more to expound on what the terms you used were, for the layman.
I would like to see a "morph explained" I don't think I've seen many. Morph is a great x-men character, one of wolverines best friends in the animated series.
i am a fan of moon knight, man it is soooo cool watching this show. can you guys imagine I never thought they would make a show about Moon night with a budget like a movie, it is so cool!
Yeah I been waiting and hoping for years as well... happy they finally done it
I feel like the logos of the moon knights should be the multiple phases of the moon
The series look promising!
Khonshu seems to be to Moon Knight what Artemis is to the Dark-Hunters.
Your video format is nice and clean. I like it.
I always thought this channel was good until I saw the comments 😂🤣
It’s the same thing 🤦♂️“dissociative identity disorder” is just a more formal way of saying “split personality”
It’s better to call it how it is, Moon knight’s DID as portrayed in the show depicts a severely fantastical version of the disorder that only really focuses on the presence of another personality and nothing else, so it’s better for everyone to call it Split Personality disorder, which doesn’t exist, instead of DID
(Spoiler for 1st episode)
At first, I thought that Khonshu is basically Mark in the mirror but now everything seems clear when Steven doesn't know what day it is.
The answer is yes I definitely want more moon knight !
I like the steven grant personality from the comics but I'll keep an open mind I just hope they don't change too much!

I know absolutely nothing about moon Knight but I know I absolutely love the Disney plus series!!! Any ideas where to start comic wise please?
You should start with the 2014 run
Huston/Fitch run “The Bottom” ...good sport to jump on, then go back to first volume and get all the back story... then all the newest runs
So how you can explain glowing eyes with a split personality?
It's not the split personality, it's from his abilities from Khonshu.
it's D.I.D
but the glowing eyes is from Khonshu
pretty much means his power are active while wearing that suit

how cool would it be if moonknight teams up with the avengers
Moon Knight used to be part of the “West Coast Avengers” and currently in the comics, Black Panther (who is the current leader of the Avengers) is keeping tabs on MK by way of Tigra... my point is it is possible
I was suprised to see him, I only heard of him in a lego game I played when I was little little
The Tony Ferguson of the MCU

youre forgetting how over powered the marvel comics punisher is
Moon Knight also killed Deadpool..

The first time I ever seen moon knight was back in marvel's avengers alliance and he was SOOO FUCKEN COOL
Definitely one of my favorite heros ever. Dc or Marvel. He's the most relatable because I have DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) and other than the movie "Split", there's not alot of films about DID. Cool to see a hero I can relate to cause as much as I love the Flash...I can't run at Mach 49

Marc sounds terrifying in the comics. He's... somewhat better in the show
Kinda weird that he decided to do it today rather than yesterday since the series came out today

The voices just make jokes with me
The tv show is definitely getting better than the comic since the new moon knight has more of konshu powers in his suit and doesn’t rely on gadgets in my opinion if ur the avatar of a Egyptian god the supernatural powers is definitely a push in the right direction

Didn't moon knight get into a fight with taskmaster once where they just traded punches, without dodging or blocking, for hours?
I believe Taskmaster fears two people. Deadpool because Taskmaster can’t get a grip on how he fights, and Moonknight because the way Moonknigt fights is pure offense, hence the no dodging and blocking.
Wish some company would do a movie or series of The Badger.
Very similar.

you got the lore wrong first its not split personality is DID dissociative identity disorder it comes from childhood trauma in marcs case he was traumatized finding out his rabbi was a nazi because marc is jewish after the trauma he developed an alter named steven
