Moon knight is not an ordinary god like Odin and Zeus. He is an elder god much older than them so he is someone not to be trifled with. Even knull knew him personally.
He's one of the oldest beings in the Earth elder God pantheon. Which means he was around before most of the other Gods of Earth, including the Olympians, titans, etc.
In case anyone is confused. The writer messed up the order of the robins and was too late to fix it so in the murphyverse/white knight series only, Jason Todd is the first robin. Everywhere else is Dick Grayson.
Khonshu is one of the Egyptian gods that has taken control of Steven/Marc in the new Moon Knight series currently streaming on Disney+ but in the comics he takes control of multiple people over the centuries.
Khonshu also has a second avatar called hunter's moon from what I know, but he only got introduced like, last year, so he doesn't really matter that much
What I love about Khonshu is that there is a big ambiguity about if he is real or not and just a big figment of his imagination, that it's maybe all in his head.

It's like that in the newer comics as well. Originally, he looked like a simple Egyptian God. Then again, all of the elder Gods seem to have alternative forms they can switch between. Like Atum (father od Khonshu) can become the Demogorge God-eater.
I kind of liked early moon knight when it was kind of suggested moon knight was a unreliable narrator and he may have just gone insane from his experience in the desert and konshu may have just been a voice in his head, but they eventually did away with that ambiguity in order to up the scales and flesh him out more.
I think it would be more helpful if you compared his abilities or lores compared to Gods, Eternals, Deviants, Elder gods etc that are already established in MCU
Fun fact: One of Khonshu’s uncles is Thor through Gaea along with many other Gods in Marvel. Gaea is present in every Earth pantheon as the Earth Goddess under different guises.

Even as a massive Marvel fan I knew close to nothing about Moon Knight. Thus far I’ve enjoyed the series on Disney+. It was so different and so cool! As per usual, thank you sir for this fantastic video

As such genes and evolutionary biology are the means of their bestowed power. The Gods, however, have religion and worship as their bestowal on mankind. As such is their a "will" associated with the avatars of the Gods? The rival, but slandered, theory to Darwinian Evolution is Lamarckian evolution. Is there a Lamarckian source to rival the gene theory of superpowers in the Marvel Universe? Not a "spiritual" source as in Dr. Strange, but a carrier of "will"?

Khonshu is kind of a jerk. He tells Mark that he's pathetic, all the time, and since he is a multi-faceted God, with multiple personalities.. And he gave his powers to Mark... Mark ends up having multiple personalities himself. Later on, he tells Moon knight to collect power to fight mephisto, and beats thor and takes his hammer, and obtains the phoenix force. Khonshu doesn't think this is enough though, and goes on his own little rampage.

Khonshu is real though. The avenger themselves have already interacted with him including powerful godlike entities like knull. Even Odin knows him.

True this was when I liked the comics best! I remember not being able to tell and it kept me hooked!

Moon Knight is a hero but he's as hated as The Punisher by a lot of heroes because of his brutal nature and fractured mental state.
