The scary thing about evil Tony Stark is that so many politicians are just like him in the way he thinks. Not just politicians but how many regular people think and in a way what many people want, but will never say out loud.
I loved Superior Iron man’s interaction with Daredevil specifically the pride and arrogance is so apparent, offering Matt a cure for blindness and after giving it to him, belittles and degrades him for questioning his ideals, showing that cure wasn’t for him but to get him on his side, bullying his blindness as he laments the cures temporary nature, the two are such a good dichotomy of a man who tries to change a system from within where Tony was above that system due to things like wealth and his companies. The distance he has from the average man would usually be a sign of a villain and although with no I’ll intentions Iron Man’s alcoholic binges in the older 616 comic universe gave his distance from the common man to show how a man with so much responsibility could cause so much harm when they make bad or selfish choices
Tony was not actually aroggant, arrogant is when you overvalue/overestimate yourself, Tony wasn't overestimating himself, he was being mostly realistic about it. Arrogance is not realistic, it's a illusion of superiority.
One of the running gags in eXiles was that in almost every universe with a Tony Stark, he is a super villain, and one of the “weird” things about 626 that variates it from the norm is the fact that it’s one of the only universes in which tiny stark isn’t a villain…. Usually… except in civil war…. Or when he’s drunk…. Or when he joins the Illuminati…. Or during this ark. The films water him down, which isn’t surprising since Walt Disney is one of the characters Tony Stark is modeled after, and portraying him as the alcoholic monster he is wouldn’t sit well with their brand.
I think this version of iron man should be in what if and this should be in the movies and maybe make an animated TV series about this story I really like how we get new suits with new colors and it shows Tony could teach a class on quantum physics to some of the smartest minds.
I gotta be honest, it hurts to see Iron Man as a villain. Iron Man's my favorite superhero (Spider-Man's fighting him for it though), and to see him like this kinda goes against the Iron Man I knew. But at least they went back to it later on. You guys should make a top 10 Iron Man armors video.

But as many as these crisis/multiverse/ flash points events take place nothing really sticks. How many times we gotta reform the 7 ? How many times do you gotta New 52 or rebirth your heroes? This comic run was bittersweet of course but rendered null when Secret Wars pulled the biggest reset Marvel could manage at that point…

Raven suggested a corporate/political influential theme for a villain, when they were thinking of the best villain theme to fight their rivals.
I liked the older comics where everyone played Tony off as a pompous drunken playboy playing superhero and it got to Tony, so when Galactus came he became the Herald to save Earth but demonstrated his new power. Just to say "I'm not playing superhero I just saved your ass"
I find it so very hard to believe that captain American in the war machine suite, which is significantly weaker then regular iron man let alone the superior iron man suit, was able to go toe to toe with superior iron man. I'm so disappointed in the ending 😒 I feel like that should have been an absolute beat down. Out of all the ways they could have taken superior down this feels lame.

I mean imagine if you played a good character for a decade, and then they asked you to reprise, but this time you get to be evil! I think he'd have a blast with the role, but honestly, let the guy have a break. We might get lucky someday. I think he'd work better as an older "alternate" Tony. And considering the MCU is messing with multiverse stories, who knows. If anything, they recast an alternate Tony. It would have to be an epic actor though if not RDJ.

Let's not kid ourselves, comicverse Iron man is not evil but neither is he good. He is still an egomaniac, more concerned with how he feels than any real good he could do. The prime example is extremis, he made something that could have saved everyone of every illness and disease, and what did he do with it, he made himself more intelligent and more compatible with the armor
