@@DR_Loud75 can confirm that cryo cannon + temp shock microwave gun is absolutely filthy after trying the update for the last month or so. Uses a LOT of ammo, but you can deal with waves better than gunner.
Sniss when you said that you hadn’t gotten to fight the nemesis I nearly fell over in disbelief, (that thing is scary for someone who is bad at the game) and I can’t believe that others are not seeing this thing when they are happily mining all of their woes away and then BAM party wipe because no one knew what to do and was too terrified to do anything.
Fire Bolts are my favorite part of the crossbow, especially when paired with pheromone specials and/or IFGs. Just plop one into the ground and let them walk nearby it. Best BBQ I ever had. IFGs and Pheromones are for bunching them up to utilize the heat propagation mechanic so that all burning bugs ignite others. It's imo the best horde clear scout has. Then just pack in ASS M1000 or OPA Drak for priority targets and boom.
Intresting trick for disabling the turret controller : If you have a driller on your team , ask him to drill a tunnel that leads under it then try to aim at the sides of the device until you get the hacking pop-up. Now you can hack without atracting the turrets attention and with minimal ammo cost.
@@Blueybeak unfortunatly yes , if the repulsion turrets somhow spot you trough the ground , their sheild projectile is massive enough to hit you while you are hacking, but this ussualy only happens when you have teammates who don't look at the chat and get in range
The Nemesis often spawns on Rival Presence mutator missions, and it has a weak point in the vents under its arms. Also if you can get close somehow, all rival tech is weak to pickaxe hits, including power attacks. Edit: correction from replies and a spelling error
The nemesis also has a weakspot on its eye in the front. It just closes from time to time and wont be available. Also it can be destroyed so it wont be available at all lol
Always isn't true, I've done a bunch of missions with that mutator, and, fought it only twice, which is still more than I found phazyonite since I never found any in a good 30 missions
Spoilers for Nemesis Fight down below. The Nemesis is basically what would happen if you Merged a Grabber with a Bulk Detonator. It has 2 primary attacks, I will launch a shield at you or it will grab you. the grab will kill you no matter what unless you have heightened senses, But even then, the Nemesis won't take any damage if you break out. the Nemesis also spawns a bunch of Phase Bombs upon death. It can be found on any level although I think it's more common on rival presence missions, (used to be exclusive to rival presence missions).
Some other things of note: Nemesis is MUCH more common on Rival Presence It can spawn during Hacking Pod events with data deposits, dunno if it shows up on Sabotage missions but it likely does Grabs aren’t certain death, I’ve survived them multiple times, maybe it’s just luck
@@pokeaust7800 Could just be the difficulty level. Doing Weps and loadout Tests Solo on Haz 3 - they hurt but released you and you survived unless low. Jumped into a Haz 5 MP and the Claws kill you in 3 seconds flat
Reading this just... started hurting, knowing how often I get leeched while soloing the game. Bosco normally kills the grabber eventually but if this is an instakill basically, that's very bad.
My favourit part of the update is the new voice lines, i haven't been playing for that crazy long (just clocked 130h) but it brings such a refreshing breeze into the caves. The QOL changes with the shop and OC forge are great too
Random Nemesis combat tips: I'm pretty sure you can shoot dwarves out of it's claws, before it deals the crushing blow, so be quick with that. ALSO, supposedly one gunner incin-grenade can kill it instantly(By setting it alight), or just anything that can set it on fire quickly, as apparently, robots die instantly when set on fire completely. And, funnily enough the Nemesis was crushed by an aquarq grinder landing my first time seeing it. Other than that, I'm unsure how else to deal with it, other than keep your distance and make sure it doesn't catch you off guard. Also, my favorite thing about the update is the new minigun framework. Saw that in the teaser they did a while back and I couldn't wait, when I realized it was the season framework I shed a tear of happiness. Hope you enjoy the update Sniss!
I feel like the coil gun is by far the most underwhelming. It looks like it’s designed to be a direct damage weapon that you charge, with some AOE with the trails. But the damage, even with damage upgrades and the overcharge upgrade, is just pitiful. It seems that it’s supposed to be an AOE weapon…but you shoot a single projectile at an enemy. It’s supposed to be through the trail, but enemies actively avoid said trail. So it isn’t a direct damage weapon, and its main form of AOE is borderline obsolete. Idk, I’ve only played a couple missions with it, maybe I’m just missing something. Edit: The fact that I’m only seeing stuff that points to one overclock being good and making the weapon viable should show how poor the weapon is overall. I can run Magic Bullets or Elephant Rounds on the Bulldog. I can build the BRT for single target or area damage. But I only have one overclock that has people talking about how good the weapon is with it when it comes to the railgun. Again, I haven’t used it much. Maybe I’m just missing something. But from what I’ve seen, the weapon just seems to be a one trick pony, and that isn’t good for a DRG weapon.
Gunner main myself; I've played with the coil gun enough, including the OCs, to know that I won't be using it much if at all. I haven't seen anyone playing with a killer build for it either.
Well since the experimental im exclusively playing Coil Gun with the Hellfire OC and the weapon is just nuts with it. One shot and the entire wave is dead or at least nearly dead
22122 Hellfire basically turns it into a pseudo breach cutter. Though I still prefer magic bullets AoE bulldog. I only bring it for rival presence missions because that build will proc the fire instakill on nemesis in 1-2 fully charged shots
Fun Fact about the wave cooker, it can pop a detonator on kill so he doesn't explode. For me its definitely a weapon to turn the driller into a wave clear MACHINE more than he already was, especially with the upgrades to cause temp shock. Not to mention its synergy with GOO making sludge builds feel really nice.
These season update things have been absolutely brilliant. Hope theyre willing to give us a couple more! Really feel like with a few more events/missions with the robot dudes and some weapons the game will truly be complete
Tips for Fighting Nemesis Drones: Drop the mine head on them, it kills them instantly :D Keep your distance, if those big meaty claws get a grip on you you’re basically dead. Unless you have the heightened senses perk, it will never let you go no matter what anyone does to it. Engineers can nullify it’s grab temporarily by throwing out Two lures and having it grab them. If it’s hands are full it can’t grab you. If you’re skilled enough to do so, lighting the nemesis on fire will instantly destroy it no matter how much health it has left. It’s eye is destructible, and destroying it makes it more erratic. This can be good or bad, because it’s attacks become more random. When it dies, it drops nano bombs everywhere in a last attempt to kill you. Watch out for that!
I haven't figured out how to fight the nemesis either. I found it twice, once solo and once with 1 other friend. It has two arms. Neither of us had heightened senses. We both got grabbed at once and died. The solo mission was the same, since Bosco can't solo the thing by himself. It has grabbies, don't get grabbed.
I got the Nemesis 2 or 3 times in one H4 Rival Presence mission. The fight isn't that bad, just do not get close to it since if it grabs you it *will* kill you (unless you're using heightened senses I think). It'll spit out little barriers to protect itself; you can't shoot through them, just go around them. It has 3-4 crit spots, I think it's 4 (one on each side). Once you break a side, go shoot somewhere else because you do less damage to damaged parts. When it dies be mindful of the orange spheres, they blow up.
I also appreciate the tons of new voicelines for killing enemies, friendly firing, saluting, pinging teammates and swarm announcements. I do wish team pings only addressed the class instead of going "you! Can i get your attention?" Though. And the new voicelines aren't as good as the originals, but hey, more is more.
If I had to guess, I'd say that the reason wave cooker is designed for the same niche a the driller's primaries is because it's for those drillers that only pull out their secondary when their primary is out of ammo.
I've not heard much good things about the Engineers new secondary which was disappointing. I'm gonna unlock it first and give it a go for myself before I make my mind up though.
At first I found the Shard Refractor to be a bit "meh", but after going for fire damage and putting in the Feedback Loop OC, that increases AoE size+dmg over time, this thing became one of my favorite weapons. You see a gigantic hoard approaching, you just swipe the laser across the front and see everything go up in flames or downright vaporized.
I did the math, the cooker’s base damage per second is about 49, and with one damage mod AND rate of fire mod, it’s dps almost doubles to 81 dps, and we don’t have to worry about random spread because it’s a flashlight. That might take Burt down from the favorite weapon throne, even though I have been screwing around with the cooker for most of the experimental branch. Speaking of which, before the shard diffractor got nerfed a bit, it could shred a hive guard with NO damage mods or aoe mods.
Yeah, the first time I got nemesis I was scared the whole time because I could hear it through the wall. Then it got frame one disintegrated by the drilldozer.
One update I'd like to see would be an expansion on eliminate missions. Like, what happens if we get to a cocoon too late and a mega dreadnaught attacks.
Spoilers for the Nemesis miniboss: When I first fought the Nemesis I was spooked. I played on solo, and it snuck up behind a corner to wait for me. I heard the distorted voice of the engineer calling for help and it turned the corner, making my heightened senses alert go off. That freaked me out, so I got some distance to see what the hell was triggering the perk. I then realized that the damn thing could grab me. It being almost completely silent except for the voicelines of fellow dwarves got me good. Thankfully, I brought the flamethrower as I knew it was a rival presence, and I cleansed the demon in fire. Once It died, it said something about always being friends before it threw about 10 phase bombs at me. I was stuck in a narrow cave at the time, so you can imagine the panic. I survive with a quarter health, but of course I got sniped by an acid spitter. Absolutely amazing first encounter though. GSG did phenomenal with season two. 10/10, would get stalked by killer robots again.
I was playing solo too, got completely caught off guard by this thing when I had low ammo. it chased me around while I was panicking to find some nitra. In the end I was able to reach molly to deposit but then the damn thing crashed right through the cave wall with a massive explosion and scared the crap outa me. anyway... 10/10, would breach cutter again.
I haven't played a whole bunch yet but one subtle thing I love are the tiny tweaks, like to some animations, the Doretta Easter egg you mentioned, text size in menus being bigger, new voice lines, etc. Just some treats to make the game feel fresher :)
I love the funny engi laser cannon so so much, it pairs real well with mini shells on the warthog, and its playstyle is simple enough: see bug, therefore you are obliged to light it on fire. If bug no die, shoot with laser more or mag dump with shotgun It looks AND sounds amazing (megacorp framework is my favourite) and it has the perfect sort of mad scientist vibe going for it 400 hours in and I can finally play with something other than fat boy and rj compound, thanks ghost ship!
When I found out the scorpion mask was a beard cosmetic I almost cried with happiness, combining them with the NV goggles looks amazing, especially with the robot rebellion engineers armour
Yesterday i watched your "things i eant to see added to DRG" video, and its funny how many things actually got in. Builders choice frameworks, new weapons, and dotty in the space rig. They also added the soccer minigame last season which was something you asked for
from what i’ve gathered -the nemesis will not voluntarily release dwarves, you MUST shoot the arms -barriers will decimate you if you don’t move -BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN GETTING TO THE DROP POD, IT CAN AND WILL SPAWN ON TOP OF YOU AND GRAB YOU OFF OF THE RAMP
For the Coilgun- The Mole increases in damage for each individual terrain it goes through. If you pierce a wall, a crystal, and then an engineer platform, it increases for each of those. As far as I know, it does stack with each thing no matter what it passes through, so you can make a giant fat pancake stack with an engineer and do 850+ damage. The nemesis is a pain in the ass to fight and don't get close. Fire good.
It’s such a shame you didn’t get to encounter the Nemesis. It’s like being in a horror movie when that thing chases you, with it’s eerie voice echoing down the tunnels as it approaches.
I am here after two days from upload with a warning. The Nemesis never dies. It doesn’t matter how many times you kill it. It _keeps coming back_ I killed my fifth one just a moment ago. A few minutes later I could faintly hear another one calling out for ‘help’ I spent 30 minutes just trying to find it. _IT_ found me, then I killed it. (NG’s Partical Beam Cannon is crazy) and immediately called the MULE. As I was escaping I could hear ANOTHER ONE trying to lure me. _THEY DON’T DIE_ … after all, “This was not a triumph” You have been warned.
Hey sniss, I had a very original idea for a video. DRG nuzzlocke. You start a new profile and whenever one dwarf dies, they’re gone forever. You keep going until everyone is dead and then that account is dead too. See how far you can get ig. I would do it too but I’m bad and got DRG like 1 week ago so I’m still doing all my assignments. Also might make a good video if you’re lacking any ideas currently.
I fought it a couple of times, and the main way to fight it is to keep it at a distance and aim for the gooey bits. If it gets close it will grab you and it will kill you. Heightened senses is good to free yourself from the claws, but it won’t damage or destroy it. Still dies instantly when lit on fire like normal
Rofl when it comes to the Nemesis I had pretty much the opposite experience. It spawned on my first mission (solo) right outside my drop pod and spawcamped me.
clearly doretta in the space rig is the best thing for this season. this and the fact that you can lazer point your teamate and say specific line for each class.
The new driller's secondary, Colette wave cooker, is amazing at cooking Opressors. The tier 5 upgrade, Exothermic reactor, is the key. Use sticky flame build, set them a blaze, spray the sticky flames under them or in the direction of their movement. Once they are on fire, use the secondary to cause sudden temperature change. They will take a lot of dmg. Let them build up the fire dmg from sticky flames again, this very fast, and use secondary again. It is so good, no worring about their weakspot. And it works wonders not only on them, but alson on everything half good flamable.
Dude you're so lucky to not have nemesis spawns, me and my buds get those spawning about 3 times per rival presence mutation I now have a fear of flying tin cans
I would have loved to have a few exclusive items from season 1 just for the sake of greybeard status but I remember being green too, I'm sure people don't want to miss out.
The new hacking menu for the router / turret controller is quite interesting, and also makes the router event more challenging when doing it solo Also the rival tech framework on the shard diffractor looks really cool
I would use the microwave as a temp confusion machine with a full burn-speed flamethrower build. This actually really good for AoE and Single target at the same time. The flamethrower is an absolute bot destroyer, and you can repeatedly temp confuse bigger targets to quickly do 200 damage at a time
I had one elimination mission on hazard 4 where nemesis spawned 4 times, we had so little ammo at the end it was scraping for nitra. One of my hardest game tbh
The fact my biggest fear as a scout main, that it being so single targeted was gonna be too much like the grand with hipster overclock. But the way you talk about it calms me that the OCs will make the weapon feel right at home.
Firebolts are good with more control oriented builds. Notably, try speed-overheat aggressive venting drak with ifg and drop flame darts into the floor under incoming swarmers and inside of ifg/fear-blobs from the drak's overclock. It saves a massive amount of ammo and attention for middling-to-small enemies to burn while slowed/feared away from you. Especially swarmers.
I didn't yet have a chance to try the new update out, but would be awesome if the microwave gun dealt increased damage against robot enemies (since they are all metal, and they don't mix well with microwaves), kinda like in Killing Floor 2. Or making them disabled easier, due to the electrificating effect or something.
I had the misfortune of finding one on my first solo mission (which was haz 1 btw) and honestly, its basically a Cyberdemon. Shoot at it until it dies and also don't get grabbed.
This game needs a lot more of this stuff . Dont get mne wrong cosmetics are nice and all . But the real meat of it is gameplay variation . The main focus should be weapon variation and mission types.
Honestly thought the coilgun was headed for the Engineer. I’ve always seen Gunner as a DPS machine, and Engineer being Mr. High Tech. It’s nice to see Gunner get some cool tech though
Okay, I'm curious: *how* do you obtain the hospital gowns? Is it a one time deal when you've failed a mission or is it an armor cosmetic that you can swap out? And most importantly: *HOW DO I GET IT?!*

Tons of new voicelines including new cheers, dwarf specific dialogue etc.
the accessory ore is a genius idea
it's the only part i didnt know about and to me it's the most exciting not including the miniboss
Sorry just the
ASS M1000
that got a firggin random crit on me.
I'm still waiting to get 1 credit whenever Dorettas head is returned in the end screen
With the right overclocks the shard difractor is straight up the prometheus lenses. LASER TAG IS BACK BABY
Intresting trick for disabling the turret controller :
If you have a driller on your team , ask him to drill a tunnel that leads under it then try to aim at the sides of the device until you get the hacking pop-up.
Now you can hack without atracting the turrets attention and with minimal ammo cost.
repulsion turret hitboxes: *allow me to introduce myself*
Also it can be destroyed so it wont be available at all lol
the nemisis dies instantly like all other robots once set on fire
Always isn't true, I've done a bunch of missions with that mutator, and, fought it only twice, which is still more than I found phazyonite since I never found any in a good 30 missions
My favorite part of this update is the mole oc. If you swiss cheese with it you can do some CRAZY damage to glyphids and dwarves alike
Some other things of note:
Nemesis is MUCH more common on Rival Presence
It can spawn during Hacking Pod events with data deposits, dunno if it shows up on Sabotage missions but it likely does
Grabs aren’t certain death, I’ve survived them multiple times, maybe it’s just luck
@@Chillwave6 it's grab is pretty short range. Just don't stay too close and keep your distance
also, it digs.
That's a really good update. Hoped for more "terrifying look" for Nemesis tho.
Nothing would stay terrifying after you kill it a few times
@@omppusolttu5799 True, but leeches.

My favourit part of the update is the new voice lines, i haven't been playing for that crazy long (just clocked 130h) but it brings such a refreshing breeze into the caves. The QOL changes with the shop and OC forge are great too
Personally I love the sludge pump buffs, the fact that it gets a tier 5 mod built into it is a plus for me!
"We saved Doretta! We're heroes!"
I love that she now appears in rig after a successful Escort Duty.
The fact nemesis lures dwarves with distorted lines was terrifiying
Great vid sniss! Always look forward to ur coverage cause you keep it quick but also unique to ur own style! Rock and Stone!
Tips for Fighting Nemesis Drones:
Drop the mine head on them, it kills them instantly :D
Keep your distance, if those big meaty claws get a grip on you you’re basically dead.
There are new salute voice lines. That’s it. Best update ever.
They added Doretta!! Didn't even know I needed this...but I super did 🙃 Also excited to use that Mircowave Gun cuz I'm a drill boi
Just recently got DRG on my PC, and after not playing the season 2 on my Xbox, I was terrified when I saw the nemesis in my 2nd mission
Mans done it so well he got a shoutout from the devs
I also appreciate the tons of new voicelines for killing enemies, friendly firing, saluting, pinging teammates and swarm announcements. I do wish team pings only addressed the class instead of going "you! Can i get your attention?" Though. And the new voicelines aren't as good as the originals, but hey, more is more.
If I had to guess, I'd say that the reason wave cooker is designed for the same niche a the driller's primaries is because it's for those drillers that only pull out their secondary when their primary is out of ammo.
I freaking LOLed at the moment Nemesis got one-shoted by refinery
Thanks for fire support, management!
Can we talk about how it’s been over a year since a new beer? Can we get some new beers? I just want more beer.
I've not heard much good things about the Engineers new secondary which was disappointing. I'm gonna unlock it first and give it a go for myself before I make my mind up though.
They buffed it. It's much more in line with the Engie's other secondaries now. Where as before it was much more in line with the Subata lol.
It was in beta for just 2 days before they buffed because it was so underwhelming. Now it absolutely rocks against both bugs and bots!
My favorite thing from this update was solely the beam defractor, it gives my proton pack vibes and it makes me feel good
Busting makes me feel good 👻
At first I found the Shard Refractor to be a bit "meh", but after going for fire damage and putting in the Feedback Loop OC, that increases AoE size+dmg over time, this thing became one of my favorite weapons. You see a gigantic hoard approaching, you just swipe the laser across the front and see everything go up in flames or downright vaporized.
Also, you can ping your fellow dwarves now!
Like, what happens if we get to a cocoon too late and a mega dreadnaught attacks.
chumberino would certainly be terrifying
funny thing is the first mission i did once the update came had the rival in it... hazard 4-
he took one of us down but we clapped him easy
Rapid fire sneezing is quite a way to put it
Spoilers for the Nemesis miniboss:
When I first fought the Nemesis I was spooked.
Tips for fighting the nemesis
-keep your distance
-shoot the glory stuff
-it doesn’t have a weak point
I love the funny engi laser cannon so so much, it pairs real well with mini shells on the warthog, and its playstyle is simple enough: see bug, therefore you are obliged to light it on fire. If bug no die, shoot with laser more or mag dump with shotgun
It looks AND sounds amazing (megacorp framework is my favourite) and it has the perfect sort of mad scientist vibe going for it
400 hours in and I can finally play with something other than fat boy and rj compound, thanks ghost ship!
They also added the soccer minigame last season which was something you asked for
from what i’ve gathered
-the nemesis will not voluntarily release dwarves, you MUST shoot the arms
-barriers will decimate you if you don’t move
-BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN GETTING TO THE DROP POD, IT CAN AND WILL SPAWN ON TOP OF YOU AND GRAB YOU OFF OF THE RAMP
Fire good.
Nice work on getting this out as fast as you can!
It’s such a shame you didn’t get to encounter the Nemesis. It’s like being in a horror movie when that thing chases you, with it’s eerie voice echoing down the tunnels as it approaches.
Let's not forget the most important thing they added:
-New Salute Lines
That reaction to Doretta being in the rig perfectly mirrored mine
Hey, may I ask what build you use on the shard diffractor? My current build (32222 no OC) seems Extremely weak
I hope your shard diffractor summary was accurate by the time it came out considering how much it was changed during experimental
My second mission I literally fought 6 Nemesies back to back, the fact that you couldn't find one blows my mind
I am here after two days from upload with a warning.
The Nemesis never dies.
It doesn’t matter how many times you kill it.
It _keeps coming back_
I killed my fifth one just a moment ago. A few minutes later I could faintly hear another one calling out for ‘help’
I spent 30 minutes just trying to find it. _IT_ found me, then I killed it. (NG’s Partical Beam Cannon is crazy) and immediately called the MULE.
As I was escaping I could hear ANOTHER ONE trying to lure me.
_THEY DON’T DIE_
… after all, “This was not a triumph”
You have been warned.
The firebolts are useful with swarmers, I love seeing them fry with it.
*Doretta on space rig*
WE DID IT LADS!! WE SAVED DORETTA!!!
I only have the coil gun and laser thingy but i love both.
Engi is even better at absolutely melting praetorians now.
I really love how you can fully rescue Doretta after a mission.
Tri-bolts good at quickly chunking enemies with large health pools
Dude you're so lucky to not have nemesis spawns, me and my buds get those spawning about 3 times per rival presence mutation
I now have a fear of flying tin cans
Oh damn perfect video release timing
I would have loved to have a few exclusive items from season 1 just for the sake of greybeard status but I remember being green too, I'm sure people don't want to miss out.
The new hacking menu for the router / turret controller is quite interesting, and also makes the router event more challenging when doing it solo
Also the rival tech framework on the shard diffractor looks really cool
Legends say if a beast so large, so destructive- so gargantuan…. The loot leviathan……
I think they made the Driller's drill speed mods work properly now, so that's cool.
Rock! And! Stone!
“spent a long time to get the nemisis to spawn” me on haz 5 before patch “OH MY GOD THEY ARE EVERYWHERE”
I find the wave cooker to be a great combo tool with the flamethrower using the upgrade that give basically free thermal-shock to the driller
Sniss: And after countless missions, I've finally get it to spawn.
Me: Litteraly had 3 nemesis spawning in my first season 2 mission (haz 2).
And most importantly:
*HOW DO I GET IT?!*
Fail a mission and you spawn in the medic ward with the gown.
