PLasma carbine's rewiring mod cuts ammo because it would otherwise have a very big ammo pool. I already tested this. If you start with 630 ammo and shoot till overheat (around 585 ammo) it will regenerate to 616 ammo. This means you shot around 45 bullets at the cost of 14 bullets. So that is around a 280% increase in ammo, leaving you with 1770 bullets. So please don't write the ammo increase off as insignificant. It really isn't.

The best thing about the sludge pump is... I finally have a driller weapon that works really well against all forms of dreadnaught. So whereas I prefer the flamethrower for most kinds of situations, I'm taking the sludge pump for elimination missions every time.
Plasma Carbine bouncy bullets OC, when shot into a horde, have a good chance of DOUBLING your dps and applying electricity debuff to multiple targets, you underestimate how easy it becomes to control hordes by electrifying them all. Combined with the cryo minelets zhukovs you can quickly delete many frozen targets created by the minelets, something the m1000 can only do in lineups (not shooting from the air or unfavourable positions etc).

The thing I really enjoy with the plasma rifle is how free you are, combined with the shotgun's auto reload when unequipped, you can pretty much always deal damage, swapping between a decent sustained single target, to a really powerfull aoe burst, it feels cool to use!
- Bouncy plasma with plasma splash is a direct 30% increase in damage : just aim at the glyphid's feet - Rewiring is a 80% ammo regeneration after you overheat (and the longer the overheat, the better) that gives you ammo economy similar to the minigun. Learning to use the Hurricane and guide the missiles is a lot of fun. And it's very satisfying to launch a salvo off into the void and then pull them onto the back of the Oppressor in front of you.
I love the plasma crabine the most out of them all. pair the plasma splash for aoe with lots of fire rate and the bouncy oc and you got yourself a ton of firepower on the scout. because when you shoot slightly under the enemy or in crouds the bouncy projectily triggers the aoe damage, so you effectively at least double the damage. pair that with hot feet, for movement speed when overheat and speed boost on magdump with the zukovs and you'll be zooming around like no tomorrow plasma carbine 5/5 in my book but yeah the other oc's are not so great or at least cant reach bouncy oc with plasma aoe.

@@Vampshroom420 you should play the other classes too, the game has a lot more to offer than just scout gameplay. Plus you'll probably be less upset when you get stuff you previously would've considered useless because it's for something other than scout
I found aggressive vending the most useful OC for plasma carbine. It gives scout one thing its missing, the horde capability without dumping entire ammo/resource pool. It takes exactly 3 seconds to get the burst so it's very easy and incredibly ammo efficient to use. Not something that'll help with dread, but it makes scout more versatile in any horde fight.
Really? I tried it and the range is extremely lacking. If you are overrun you won't hit the grunts behind the ones facing you. Aggressive venting from the gunner has muccccch more range
@@burnheart2965 I'm not sure why you think comparing his kit to different miner is an appropriate measuring stick, but to each his own I guess. The range is more than enough for me since in haz 5, you simply cannot afford to thin the constant horde as scout with other weapons or OCs. This setup is the answer to holdouts, swarmers, neodocyte shockers, shredders, and grunts (in tight area) with minimal ammo eco invested.
From my experience on high haz lok-1 is nearly mandatory for new mission - turrwts that 1-shot you after 3 seconds of aiming, flying enemies, stabby-stab arms and with lok-1 you can safely kill turrets from around a corner and arc around bosses shield
They really hit it out of the park with these. They went all in on unorthodox concepts that you wouldn't think of at first glance, and they all work pretty well. When I got the Hurricane with the salvo mod, I knew I had found the ultimate big boi killer. The rockets can continue to be guided, just not when firing in a salvo. Firing two or three at once is great crowd control, and when loading up a salvo, you can easily drop Praetorians. Works well against Korloks and Dreadnaughts as well, maximizing damage in a limited window.
The sludge pump reminds me of the GES Bio-Rifle from the Unreal Series. I'd argue it may be the inspiration, the base primary fire shoots 'Green Explosive Shit' (also called Sludge here and there) that functions as live landmines. The alternate fire charges as a big blob and once it lands, smaller blobs similar to the primary fire disperse around a big one. The weapon is arguably out there in uniqueness, and I can see it here in the sludge pump.

The projectiles should probably be made a lot faster. It should probably be like +100%, but only apply when you let go of the button.

For the Lok-1 Smart Rifle, I like using Piercing Rounds, since it makes it easier to deal with swarms of bugs. You dont have to worry about locking on to every single Glyphid, the bullets will just hit them anyway.
the manual cut off is perfect against robots so you can peek and shoot but also have the guided for moving ones... but what is most crazy on huricane noone talks about is the stupid amount of heat with napalm in T4 and with fire becoming best element in U35 its just nuts how good it is even with the meah dmg it does
As soon as i saw the smart rifle i instantly had a rush of nostalgia and happiness because it instantly reminded me of the smart pistol from titan fall 2
I still vote to revert the mineral physics to pre-update 34.5(i think) Where minerals mined with epc or explosives would just fall to the ground instead of yeet across the map. Tho I wouldn’t mind if the explosion still flung them, but the containment field should, you know, contain everything?
After trying them all out in the experimental and being a driller main i found the sludge pump to be my favorite new gun cause its just so fucking fun to watch the bugs melt away with a satisfying thump to each shot and yuuugh its just so fun to use hard to explain
Maybe if gunner plasma rockets and engineer plasma secondary gun can go through walls they could also add that function to a new plasma scout weapon as a buff ?
There were others weapon concepts in the early states of the Update 35, like the Crossbow and the LaserCanon... Does anybody knows what's happend to those concepts?
the overclock for hurricane that cancels lock seems more for predictive gameplay launch a bunch up, aim them down and release then go to the next target
The Sludge Pump is fantastic. I've missed a Bio-rifle style weapon in any game for a long time and this is the closest I have seen since Unreal Tournament. A friend mentioned Goo Bomber Special shooting straight up to stack all the fragments to be a Dreadnought killer, but I have to test it still. New weapons are pretty excellent, although I'm finding the Drak-25 a little lacking in damage or ammo. Great video as always, Sniss! Rock and stone!
I'm a Stubby/Breechcutter Engi and Driller (usually Cryo+Subata) player. I actually don't use either of the game's shotguns all that often. :( That said, the first gun I unlocked is the Sludge Cannon, because the Biorifle in Unreal Tournament was one of my favorite weapons, and I just HAD to try this one. :)
The Drak 25 is literally the Halo one AR. Also don’t run the SMRT module on the Loki, it reduces damage but saves ammo. The CSP actually shoots spent drop pod fuel. So it’s like force feeding someone the insides of a Duracell battery.
Maybe if the carbine did just a little bit more damage it would feel better also the Hurricane has an Overclock that turns the rockets into mines when shot at the ground, so when there's a huge wave you can just set mines everywhere, though do note they have a lifespan so make them count. They can still be used as normal rocket though so go nuts
Smart rifle with exploding bullets is insane. Powerful wave clear, and such good ammo effecieny. The secret is to only lock three bullets at a time on a single mob.
nitroglycerin compound is such a lynchpin of the hurricane's design that it should really be a baseline feature, cause without it, you are better off just shooting directly instead of looping the rockets around so they stack. it should also not suck. in my testing it took like 150 meters to rack up 7 extra damage on each rocket.
Nitroglycerin seems like a very negligible direct damage boost on the Hurricane. Napalm (or the stun upgrade with a single target OC and build) is where it's at, and it synergizes very well with volatile bullets. Probably the strongest build in the game.
Taking the stress off of the fact that I don't have access to this so I can't make any content about it🙃 I don't have to because you have already! Thanks for the informative video, just found you👍will pass this on to my subscribers.
I'm 90% sure that the overheat reload overclock saved my ass in an Exploder Infestation Escort Duty. We missed 3 Nitra veins in a side cave on the way there, and while I was going back for them I ran into the 3rd Bulk Detonator of the mission. I had exactly 7 plasma shots left at the end of that fight, and the resupply I got after that was a welcome reward. (BTW, on experimentation, I have determined that a full 0-Overheat magdump followed by an overheat reload will result in a net loss of 13-14 shots. A bit of quick math says you can magdump about 34 times before running out, assuming you *only* magdump. I wish we had a firing range...)
I don:t really mind if the drak isn't the best I just find it a lots of fun to just bounce around with my grapple and beam some bugs and also with the plasma splash upgrade it is good for dealing with swarmers

the manual cut off is perfect against robots so you can peek and shoot but also have the guided for moving ones... but what is most crazy on huricane noone talks about is the stupid amount of heat with napalm in T4 and with fire becoming best element in U35 its just nuts how good it is even with the meah dmg it does
watching while my steam updates, see you all in the caves!
I have now been inspired to make a Yondu outfit for Gunner. Thank you for this enlightenment.
That was a fun video, looking forward to this expnasion
You put down the stubby, but I actually prefer it over the shotgun lol. I have a bullet hose that has max shock.
it aint even bad i just can't take the shotgun out of my hands its glued there please help
@@sniss Thats totally me with the autocannon. The minigun is good but jesus christ handheld artillery os too much fun.
As soon as i saw the smart rifle i instantly had a rush of nostalgia and happiness because it instantly reminded me of the smart pistol from titan fall 2
I still vote to revert the mineral physics to pre-update 34.5(i think)
Where minerals mined with epc or explosives would just fall to the ground instead of yeet across the map. Tho I wouldn’t mind if the explosion still flung them, but the containment field should, you know, contain everything?
agree, scout feels like mining slave
need someone to faster the mining operation
As a scout main I feel pain
tfw the DRAK is good at friendly firing
just got my health shredded by someone using this
First video to reach 100k views. Congratulations and well deserved!
ECR for the Smart Rifle is great against Hiveguards - the projectiles can get the 3 aux weakpoints *at the same time*
Time to commit a new flavor of war crimes with the sludge pump
After trying them all out in the experimental and being a driller main i found the sludge pump to be my favorite new gun cause its just so fucking fun to watch the bugs melt away with a satisfying thump to each shot and yuuugh its just so fun to use hard to explain
It is really good, the ammo efficiency makes it by far my favorite for driller.
@@thecabbage84 the ammo is very good too, i wish it had like 25 or 50 more but yeah its great
Finally my blank matrix cores are about to be loaded with the newest dwarwen tech again
That plasma gun LITERALLY sounds like that soldier variant i think it was like supreme something like that guys weapon from PvZ GW2/GW1
Best part of new weapons...a new Sniss vid! Great stuff man, thanks for the thoughts. R&S
Maybe if gunner plasma rockets and engineer plasma secondary gun can go through walls they could also add that function to a new plasma scout weapon as a buff ?
i fell in love with the hurricane when i was using the aoe overclock and decimated a giant swarm of grunts
Great video, the drillers gun is my least favorite which sucks because I main him but I'm just glad they're adding new guns to the game.
They probably put Mactera Brew in the Corrosive Sludge Pump, that’s my theory at least
I've described the scoots plasma gun as a "Plasma powered power washer" once, Still holds up
6:02 Seeker Rounds on Engi Smart Rifle hits targets through walls too
Not played DRG in a while, thanks for making this! Makes me want to dive back in
I have and it's a breath of fresh air. Only got sludge pump no OC's and having a blast
I'm a Stubby/Breechcutter Engi and Driller (usually Cryo+Subata) player. I actually don't use either of the game's shotguns all that often. :(
That said, the first gun I unlocked is the Sludge Cannon, because the Biorifle in Unreal Tournament was one of my favorite weapons, and I just HAD to try this one. :)
The Drak 25 is literally the Halo one AR. Also don’t run the SMRT module on the Loki, it reduces damage but saves ammo. The CSP actually shoots spent drop pod fuel. So it’s like force feeding someone the insides of a Duracell battery.
Maybe if the carbine did just a little bit more damage it would feel better
also the Hurricane has an Overclock that turns the rockets into mines when shot at the ground, so when there's a huge wave you can just set mines everywhere, though do note they have a lifespan so make them count.
The goo is just all the leaf lovers I've killed in the barrel game
I love that they added the Plasma Rifle from Halo into the game
Nitroglycerin seems like a very negligible direct damage boost on the Hurricane. Napalm (or the stun upgrade with a single target OC and build) is where it's at, and it synergizes very well with volatile bullets. Probably the strongest build in the game.
I like engi with stubby w/ max electric and the overclock for shooting your turret/s. I also go twin lmg turrets, good support imo
“Store up to nine rockets before firing”
*troldier flashbacks intensify*
Impact Deflection: The Return of Funny Bullets:tm:.
Taking the stress off of the fact that I don't have access to this so I can't make any content about it🙃
I don't have to because you have already!
The one that disables tracking on the homing rockets is for people who want to tap shoot single rockets
4:31 I find it quite hilarious that one my favorite weapons in a video game is Stubby
As a lover of sticky flame... I might have to grind out that sludge pump..
You can still guide rockets with the salvo!!!! by single firing them. best of both worlds!!!!
A Mann's guide to the salvo missle better be coming soon.
I don:t really mind if the drak isn't the best I just find it a lots of fun to just bounce around with my grapple and beam some bugs and also with the plasma splash upgrade it is good for dealing with swarmers
drg somehow manages to make driller's main a warcrime with every weapon like holy shit
I just want to battle space goblins
fair
Was really hopeful the Crossbow Prototype would have made it in instead of the Drak
I come bearing news! It is coming in season 2 as a secondary :)
Those really take me back to my Unreal Tournament days!
