Little tidbit on the egg mission: swarms cause by pulling eggs are a set number depending on the amount of eggs you need to pull. 1 for 4 eggs, 2 for 6, 3 for 8. Idk if you can get swarms otherwise. The spawns from pulling eggs where mission control doesn't warn you is more referred to as an ambush
Tip for the twins keep their health bars even. They heal each other more often if their more if there is too much of a difference between them. Also you can throw heavy objects ahead of you.
It's not that they heal much more often, it is more that the heal isn't actually a "Heal" when they "Heal" they put their health to the health of the highest health twin. So, per say if 1 twins health was max and the other twin's health was like 1, then the twin with 1 health will then get max health from the "Heal".
@@B_4035mn The twin with the highest HP loses some HP while the other one gains HP, effectively healing. However, the HP lost to HP gained ratio is not 1 to 1, so the highest health twin loses less health than the other one heals
@@EnableTheGameHonestly how did I never notice this. I just thought they had a shared health pool and it was always a 1 to 1 health transfer. Honestly I find the twins pretty fun and I've never had any issues even in solo.
Some advice from my experience with these missions -Point Extraction: use your ziplines, platforms, and drills in difficult to reach places with aquarqs because you will get a resupply anyways also don't forget to use c4 on aquarqs to get it. -Elimination: Try and fight it in a flat open area if you can help it don't forget that a little bit of digging, platforming, and c4ing helps also have a resupply before the dreadnought fight starts. (P.S if you put a little work into the starting room you can make it into a decent arena if the other options suck) -Refinery: make sure there is enough room to grind on the pipes and stand on the sides of them also if the pipes go up or down in elevation have a little extra room above so you can hit enemies while grinding on pipes. -Mining/Egg Hunt: make sure to occasionally check to make sure molly is close by also c4 helps speed up the mission if used on dirt or morkite/eggs. (Plz check your map before using c4) -Salvage: Engineers if you have repellant you only need a one layer in both directions (This is important because you lower the fov of your allies, prevent them from hitting targets above, and make it impossible to have vertical movement when necessary) also use your map before you c4 near objective because there maybe a tunnel underneath. -Industrial Sabotage: Robots are killed once they start burning so heat them up if you can however for scout and gunner I suggest doing weakpoint or electrocution damage since it is difficult for those 2 to kill robots with just heat. Take serrated edge on your pickaxe since one power attack on the caretaker's arms regardless of hazard 1 shots also make a zipline or platform over the caretaker so that driller can throw c4 on top of the caretaker to hit the edges. (Btw drillers and i guess other classes can drill under turrets to kill them) -Escort: Gunners can shoot the tips of the heartstone pillars off to stop them and Engineers can platform close to the tip so scouts can destroy it also don't forget c4 and drill under too. (P.S. You can put platforms during stage 2 so that the rocks can't hit doretta)
You forgot to mention, the scouts don't even need platforms to destroy the heartstone pillar tips, they can instead just grappling hook then do a heavy attack on the tip, which destroys it instantly.
You are right I did forget to mention that but I was thinking for when the scout's power attack was on cooldown so that they could still destroy it more efficiently. Thank you for mentioning that though!
Spikey grenades from the Engineer can also take the tips off the heartstone pillars..... The Caretaker can barely attack you, if you are shielded by his own dais - only the stabbing strikes from the arms can still catch you... You can resupply or reload in a trench right next to the caretaker's base, as the 3 plasma shield pulses fly right over your head... :)
Mining missions on high hazard is actually quite eventful. Mining missions generate the largest caves (when they got max mission length and complexity) which means a LOT of enemies on the map at mission start that you will need to go through and also a lot of swarms, large and small, will have time to spawn in. It also means a lot more terrain needs to be navigated. Mining missions are also one of two mission types (the other being refining) where large swarms can randomly turn into special swarms, these being grunt swarm, swarmer swarm, pretorian swarm, mactera swarm, rock pox swarm, and the swarm getting replaced with a dreadnaught. Mining missions also tends to have the most difficult evacs due to the way the cave is structured and where the drop pod tends to land.
Mining Expedition is for relaxing. Nothing's better than going down the winding tunnels of Salt Pits, mining morkite and gold. It's my go-to mission when I need to unwind after a long day of work. Also subbed, good luck getting big!
I must say that the Caretaker is the most fun boss to fight in DRG, especially if you're playing Engi. Also congratulations the algorithm has chosen you.
its not every 2 eggs you harvest = a swarm 4 eggs to collect = 1 swarm 6 eggs to collect = 2 swarms 8 eggs to collect = 3 swarms its a fixed number, only thing that isnt fixed is which of those 4/6/8 eggs triggers the swarm
Watched the whole video before i even realised that you were a small content creator! Amazing work i really hope you find success, i was entertained wonderfully!
Quick note on point extraction missions (liquid morkite and arquods) the longer you say in the missions, the more bugs will spawn, to a point that they WILL overwhelm you.
@@TheMediocritea you see the health bar, if either one of them drops below the other one by 20%, they go underground and heal each other. So when you keep damaging them around equally, at 30% health, you can kill one of them very quick.
There is always one mandated heal in the fight, it's hard-coded. Other than that, if you keep the health values about equal, they won't heal more. It saves so much time.
@@nareshmeharana9185 They don't go underground to heal themselves, they instead just give themselves damage immunity and do a long roar, after which they can be attacked. (Oh and also, when they roar you can see a effect similar to a warden's healing beam connecting one to the other.)
Well this was fun. One word of advice so you can keep improving: Chapter headings so we know when you switch topics immediately. (Either in video or via the tools on site... assuming they let you use them without being monetized I suppose.) Glad I got the random recommendation for your work.
Something I do to make escort missions less of a pain is try finding the caves yourself first and not opening the box the drilldozer comes in that way you can take care of any boss that might be in your way (like the dozer running out of fule while right next to that plant boss)
I love industrial sabotage because with 4 competent teammates (or 3 ok ones and 1 ascended one) you can do both hacks at the same time which is incredibly satisfying.
Does anyone know what song is playing in the background starting from 7:11 ? Great video btw! Also best mission in my opinion is on-site refinery by far. I loving laying pipes as a driller. :)
refinery missions and elimination are an easy favorite for me. and also on refinery missions the engineer can place platforms to lay pipes on if the path is difficult and there is no driller. and in the salvage missions if you have the engineer platform upgrade that makes bugs not like to walk on the platforms you can place platforms on the walls above the uplink and fuel cells to direct the bugs to targeted kill zones on either side of the objective.
3:10 eh only feels repetitive the moment it starts to become the short procedural maps egg hunt on short maps is super boring so unless it’s big yeah it definitely is repetitive.
By the way, for the twins, if you do even damage to the pair, they won’t heal. They have a scripted(?) heal once, but then they won’t heal again if they are at similar health levels.
4:47...you know you can throw the said heavy thing and sprint to it. To make the travel much quicker plus you can fight afyer throwing it in the direction you're going. This mission is tailored foe the scout definitely but any class who has mastered their movement tools can easily make the aquark mission a breeze. Yeah gunner is the slowest for the mission but on cliffs where the mine head is above said cliffs. You would want that zipline. Driller and Engineer can help too for tricky nine head spots but the gunner can put up safety lines everywhere for anyone can grab onto while falling a great height and be a body guard for the team. Don't disregard the gunners on this mission. They have ways to help speed things up tooi n their own way.
As someone who tends to play the "Fuck it we ball" elimination type (popping all the eggs at once), here's some tips for that. Dreadnought: The ground pound attack is preceeded by an orange glow and floating rock in a large area around the dreadnought, so if your screen suddenly starts filling up with particles, run. Twins: They, unlike the other bosses, have Heavy armor, which means they take damage in any direction. Sure, focusing on the weak points does more damage, but sometimes if you just need that extra bit of damage, shooting them head on will do the trick. Hiveguard. If you have a driller, c4 the second stage, when its spores are out, because it both destroys the spores and does massive damage to its base health all at once.
Another tip about egg collection ots not actually every 2 eggs each egg is randomly decided to cause a swarm or not once pulled 3 separate eggs each causing a swarm lmao
TBH, I enjoy the Sabotage missions, Yeah the hacks are repetitive after the first one, but one mod makes it worth it: Caramelldansen during the caretaker boss fight makes the mission an 11/10
9:55 PRO TIP THE TWINS HEAL IF YOU DAMAGE ONE TOO MUCH IF YOU KEEP THEIR HEALTH BARS ABOUT THE SAME THEY DONT HEAL AS MUCH OR OFTEN, once they both at about half health you can easily vaporise lacerator, and force arbalist into foghting face to face.
mining expedition is lame asf. I really like the cave gen and how far you have to go but scaling swarm size or more looming danger would give it more urgency like point extraction.

3 swarms (8 eggs) is the absolute max, I actually tested it after someone pointed it out. So yes, you are correct and the video is wrong.
As a 1000+h Greaybeard i can confirm: 4eggs=1swarm, 6eggs=2swarms, 8eggs=3 swarms. Rock and Stone!
They also don't happen every two specifically, it's just completely random, as long as you've got swarms left to trigger... 👀
yeah, there is no swarm timer on egg missions
Tip for the twins keep their health bars even. They heal each other more often if their more if there is too much of a difference between them. Also you can throw heavy objects ahead of you.
forgetting to mention throwing and then sprinting or shooting was a blunder, that's my bad lmao
It's not that they heal much more often, it is more that the heal isn't actually a "Heal" when they "Heal" they put their health to the health of the highest health twin.
