  • We take our 64 Fury wagon and swap out the tired old rear suspension and wider 64 rear end for a narrow earlier unit in order to fit a big 'ol tire on the back of this beast. Keeping the original Sure-Grip but loosing 25 pounds of undercoat. Next up for this 9 passenger beauty, new front suspension.

those big corkscrew thingy to hold pet leashes work well to hold the tent down, screw them in the ground and add a ratchet strap. Nice work

I to have a 64 Dodge 440 with the tapered axle rear end and I’ve had no problems with it at all and being 60 years old why change anything since it’s held up.

I have no issues with the tapered axle. I changed it as I already had all the parts, and wanted to run 15 inch wheels, which I also already had a few sets. None of which fit with the wider 64 rear, the widest of all b-body rears. Also, finding 14 inch tires has become ridiculous, where the selection/size/price of 15 inch is much greater. Still have the tapered axle, just under a different car.
