Very nice to see you two together.
dereckvon thanks d..😀
Hi Chris and Carm, great to see the two of you together again. That sounds like a great little record store. Great lineup of little known gems. I was lucky to find Silver World in a charity shop a couple of years ago, must spin it again.
Take care-Dave.
darkdubh thanks dave..oh you definitely should pull it out..😀..much love.
Hello Chris and Carm,
Wonderful seeing the two of you together again. Interesting seeing the various music that you picked up. The best part is hearing how you both describe them after first listens, etc.. It always pleases me to see the friendships that the VC has blossomed. A big smile seeing the brotherhood friendship that you both share. Love you guys~
Rob/Boston
Paneeks1960 {Rob/Boston} hey rob..yes me and the Cuz had a very nice time..weather was your kinda weather too..glad you enjoyed the video..who knows maybe someday you can join us out here..😀..much live chris
I would really love that Chris. I would be honored to hang out with you and Carm. ~
Hey cuz Rob, yes very much hope we can all do this together someday. :-)
two of my favorite dudes in the universe! listen carefully... so much knowledge freely dropped!!
el bicho feo one of our favorite dudes in the universe as well!..much love.
Right back at you, Dave! :-)
Thanks for everything as always, brother. Was a great day. :-)
Gorvo31 it was indeed brother..😀..feel free to respond to any of the comments as well..😀
Thank you sir...may just do that. :-) Also, have a video slowly uploading as well...
Love the cover on Idiom Colleagues. Just listened to Following the Light here on YT - very pretty.
I just played it not to long ago and still enjoy it..😃..much love chris
It's good to see you two together again for another interesting showing of obscurities and album descriptions. I only recognized one album in the batch and I bet you both could guess which one that was! Great background music and enjoyable video guys.
We're not worthy, we're not worthy---two for the price of one. :) Glad to see more obscure music highlighted, and what you both listened too. It was a treat, but one not covered in a thin candy shell.
Culture Fan I think your worthy brother..lol..well ww just showed the day's playlist very carmcentric..you would probably enjoy many of these..much love chris
Ha, You're quite worthy good sir. :-) So much here you'd have loved for sure.
Ahh, to be there with my 2 bothers..Well, I am there is spirit anyway.
As always, yipes, these recordings! Love the BGM. Oddly just 2 days ago I re-discovered an old CD that I hadn't played in years "Acama: Tibetan Temple Bells" and now have it loaded into my PC for playback, and this is very much in that vibe.
I'm like Static Traveller with no one around me with my musical tastes, so I have to live vicariously through you guys.
Gary Peacock with shakuhachi sounds like a real winner to me. Would love to hear Peacock in that context.
Osho music rears it's head again! Seems like a recent theme hear in my and Carm's videos.
I have Siegfried Schwab on something somewhere here and I was always interested in hearing more of his stuff.
I didn't keep my old NMDS catalogs but I ordered tons from them-Mike Mantler was the one who started the whole thing if i'm remembering correctly. I wish I could remember what albums I bought from them-I know I still have them. By around 1987 they were struggling and I stopped receiving catalogs in the mail. So I called them and it was obvious they they were having a hard time at that point keeping afloat.
Thanks again for adding so much music to my wishlist guys!!!!
Cosmic Pickle hey there brother..the playlist definitely had you mind as you probably could tell..😀..especially the Yamamoto silver world..you would love that I believe there is a cd issue out there as well..osho has been everywhere lately..in light of the recent documentary wild country..that basho's pond I believe is available cheap thru the foundation..beautiful stuff.
Those nmds catalogs are a great resource and you are correct on about the time it unfortunately kinda went under..gave alot of independent artists an outlet for there music in terms of getting it too the people..why I write the titles in the info so there easy to write down and check out and explore..obviously most here is definitely in your wheelhouse..much love chris.
Yes they are certainly my kind of thing buddy. It's more like which ones I DON'T write down and put on the wishlist that's the news when it comes to your videos!
Hey G, Your name came up frequently during the listening, believe me! :-) It ALL would have appealed to you greatly. Indeed, Osho all around, ha.
And Osho even makes it to your latest video I see as well!!
Hello again!
Again, the record choices are excellent, the information deep and the vibe is so relaxed. It must be great to get together like this and share the love. I no longer have anyone around me into collecting music, so these videos are always a special thing. Cheers for now. Alan
Static Traveller hey brother..it is great together and share music and vibe with like minded folks..well I knew the video would be very relaxed..lol..glad you enjoyed..the titles are listed as always..have fun exploring..😀..much love chris
Hi Guys....tq for the nice video. Will surely look up some of those titles..looking forward to respective continuation videos hhe. Peace.....
Azmi Othman thank you brother..glad you enjoyed..much love.
Hey Chris, hey Carm, so wonderful to see you two together again! Always brings a smile to my face. And I am always astounded by your selection - usually it is so much stuff I never ever heard of! :D I am particulary intrigued by the Paths Of Motion album and the Albert Alan Owen one. Thanks for sharing this. Hope you have a great weekend! Much love, Diana
diggininthecr8 hey ❤..glad you enjoyed the video and found some things of interest..the albert owen alan is stunning..wonderful record that is supposedly going to reissued soon..😀..the holland is very heady but interesting ahead of it's time experimental electronic stuff worth hearing imo..but not an everyday spin..lol..much love chris
Hey Diana, I'm equally astounded by Chris' selections. Always an education of the most inspiring and healing kind. Thanks for being here with us. Much love. -Carm
Hi Chris & Carm,
This video made me smile. I really needed something to smile about lately. The brothers doing it again! I have been going through both of your videos and taking notes of all the music you’ve been showing on both your channels. It’s up to 2 books. I need to start another. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to purchase any music ever again, but if it ever happens I have a great guide from 2 of my favorite VC family members. Thank you for doing this video. I know it will always amaze me. 👏🏽👍🏾😄
dwashington607 hey brother..well I am always happy if I can bring you some light and love and music in these times..trust me brother I have been there!..in fact when your name came up a few times when we were hanging out..primary talking about you huge collection of cd's..you have alot of music my friend!..there is a place carm goes called chicago digital that we both think you and Gary would love and we would probably have take you both out on a stretcher..lol..plus we have alot cd's the shop..so I do think of you there for sure..I am happy that i can share this music with you as is carm it is a pleasure brother..your one of people that make it that way because you truly appreciated..much love brother.
Thanks much Daryl, You always inspire too. :-) For sure, the all-CD store Chris mentioned would be mind-blowing for both you and Gary. Thank you for always being here with us.
love Portillo's guys, we got 2 downstate hear now, one in Peoria and one in Bloomington.
good to see ya guys hanging out. good stuff.
peace, Chris.
MrTrendkill2 oh cool..you live downstate?..did not know you were in Illinois..nice..😀..ya portillo's is a staple..lol...much love.
Love you
Emmelie - UnDeuxTwat love you too.
Hey guys, good to see both of you. The BGM reminds me of an app I had on an older computer, wind chimes, which had many tweaks available for the duration, tonality, and a few other parameters. As you mentioned, I am familiar with Mathieu's Windham Hill release, but now I see that I need to investigate his back catalog. I am aware of Ladyslipper, but not Beth York. All of the rest seemed unfamiliar and interesting. I look forward to your individual record store finds. And thanks again for listing the titles, Chris
Christopher Kibler we both figured there would be alot here you would enjoy..that york is a lovely lp and plentiful and cheap..always liked it..love Mathieu stuff his early lp's on cold mountain are definitely recommended and up your alley..
Much love.
Now I have my eye on his second cold mountain release "In the Wind". Thanks
Christopher Kibler no problem..😀
Great conversation, great recs, thank you.
Hey hey! Great to see you two!
glowing00cabbage thanks brother..much love.
Hey Jeff!
