A fine choice for a VC dedication in Sherv. Ha, you've finally shown a reissue! I appreciate that. I do have a reissue of that TMJ, though a different edition. Brilliant record. I haven't checked but would love to hear what they did with Don Cherry when they met. I think it was bootlegged? Damn that Iatrogenics looks really interesting! Love the cover. Same with Sounds of the Santour, will have to pull that one up. Munjo....very nice and how cool it includes those inserts. Be well my friend

Heya brother, Sweet spin-age for Sherv here. Now that's a different kind of Zappa, very good. You were mentioning that green-brained Cluster. Must be both the score and subsequent gift of the century! :-D Iatrogenics is something I must hear. Taj Mahal Travelers I've long been curious about. Ooh...love the santour! Great stuff, must of which I want as per usual... Happy spins. Peace n love. -Carm

I've seen Roedelius live four times - one time solo, two times with members of Tangerine Dream (Edgar Froese memorial nights in Berlin & London) and once with Harmonia (which I walked out off - only partly down to the music). I also saw Dieter Moebius in Copenhagen in 2014 - he was good

Amazing find for me that Taj-mahal, thanks. Listening to that kind of music you have to ask yourself where can a band go from here. Iatrogenics was surprising, made me want to listen an old casette from Nick Nicely who is talented of doing that kind of playful melodic but same time sort of chaotic little pieces. Cheers Petri.

Sonde is also new to me, my last years favourite heavypsych experimental album has been Seattle band Fungal Abyss and their album Benevolent Malevolence. Taj-mahal sounded a bit of they on steroids :)

I have Jazzrockova Dilna 1, but not played in a while. Music from Bahrain would be a treat. Nice Cluster 2 copy. Amazing record. Cosmic Kraut 101. I must admit I'm more partial to Zuckerzeit personally but II is great all the same. Nice gift. I once found a mint Cosmic Jokers LP for 50 cents at a local thrift store, amongst a pile of German Schlager records.

Amazing story on the Cluster album Chris. You deserved it. I was so interested in your description of the Jazzrockova Dilna album that I went on Discogs to check out to see if there were anymore comps with that title. Sure enough there was. It seems to be a pretty inexpensive sampler. I still like listening to jazz rock/funk/fusion/funky jazz, etc... The Bahrain reminds me of my dad. He used to do there on business every other year. Going to check out that Akkerman. Have you ever heard "Transparental"? Probably a stupid question. {smile} I am sure that you have. I got tuned into him through the Focus III album. It was sent to me from a VC member who was making videos in the first year that everyone started making videos. So many of those guys have stopped making videos. I am stoked that are still doing so. You have truly inspired me in more ways that I can ever mention. Hope your mom is doing well Chris. Huge love~

Chris, this music is right up Sherv's alley, good choices from you. I saw Hans- Joachim Roedelius play live in a small venue. I had to stand up several times to tell the patrons to be quiet, during the quieter parts of his show. I don't tolerate people who disrespect musicians as they perform their magic. At the end of the show, I bought the Captain Trip cd reissue of ''Jardin Au Fou''. Rodelius' daughter, Rosa was with him, she is a visual artist. Rosa autographed the cd, for me, she actually performed on the album when she was 4 years old, she guests on one song, talking about, ''sucking her mother's titties''. Love the story about ''Oil in the Family'', Jeff @ calicosilver turned me on to Jan Akkerman. My favorite Taj Mahal Travellers album is the studio recording, ''August 1974'', perfect magic carpet ride. Don Cherry played with them, but no recordings have surfaced yet. I love ez - listening music like Percy Faith, Ray Coniff, so of course I enjoy Martin Denny, never saw that ''India'' album. Embryo turns on my light, love the Steig Aus album with Mal Waldron and Jimmy Jackson. Speaking of Steig, somehow, I never owned anything by Jeremy, must remedy that ASAP.

Hey brother always great to have your insightful commentary and great stories shared here..
You are 💯 correct on rodelelius..magic is indeed the word.
And I too find that extremely disrespectful..especially with a master 💖.
Nice on the travellers I love all there stuff would love to originals but probably out of the realm of possibility now..did you ever check out that sonde lp on music gallery editions from Canada?..up your alley me thinks..I kinda dig some of the ez/exotica too though people might be surprised..lol.
Love steig aus killer all the way.
One of the steig lp's I would highly recommended to you is the trio lp he did on cmp with eddie gomez and my man joe chambers lend me your ears..an absolute gem and a long time favorite..much love chris
