It's tough going through a breakup during the holidays especially when i was going to have a two year anniversary with her tomorrow 😢

the problem arises when they plan to execute a breakup by setting up a replacement . The grass is greener which i have already tested out , that is unforgivable.
How do I forgive myself? I wasn't thinking clearly and regret the breakup, daily.

You have to fully heal In order to jump in another relationship. What I do is block my ex it’s not petty and if you need it to move on then so be it.

2mo ago, ex said she wanted a 'break'. I tried to fix things (despite both doing well, an impossible task obviously). I became rather insecure about it and asked for clarity after 4wks. She then broke up with me. 4wks of NC, I decided not to approach her as I am severely disappointed. She texted me the day before Xmas... asking how I was doing and an update on her (study). Regarding your video, I personally thought her text was a bit too amicable/solely out of respect and sent back a rather amicable/disinterested text (because I can't just forgive her, so to speak) saying I was glad she was doing well and how I was doing. Wished her a Merry Xmas, Happy New Year in advance, and hope she would get a good rest this holiday. Subsequently, also rightly got back a disinterested message haha.
Now I don't want any more contact because despite it being the holidays, I was actually hoping not to receive any messages during NC. Should I not be so childish? And have I acted correctly in this way?
Imagine your best friend describing what you are? Imagine the loyalty and frustration that you would feel if he put himself into the line of fire again of a woman that has shown her cavalier attitude toward his relationship and MORE importantly him as a PERSON. I personally would tell him to sack up and that he deserves way better than that. We all have to ride the lightning sometimes. Everyone has a choice and I know very well how difficult this situation must be for you and I’m so sorry you’re in pain but a woman like that can and will do it more than once. And if you accept it, it’ll get easier each time for her. Saying nothing, says everything. You are the prize brotha.
no contact only works after breakup and both parties leave it be. both parties are contacting in your situation, and unless they're asking for space, maybe talking to them in a friendly way where you show reluctancy but are still relatable would lead to better results. resentment is unattractive and led to the weird texts at the end seems to me. treat them like you're still interested and not hating them if you truly want them back
Hey Rory, your videos helped me a 3 years ago. I'm now back here because I'm going through another break up. But this ex is afraid of confrontation with me because she is afraid that I will act angry or give her a hard time to talk to her. Will she ever be comfortable to reach out to me?
We were together for two years and i never had sex with her. Tried a couple of times to take her virginity but always failed. We broke up 2 months ago because she fell under the influence of her girl friends who talked a bunch of shit about me and every time we had an argument she'd run to them for advice instead of having a sitdown with me to solve problems. I left her but we remained on good terms and had no contact except once when she congratulated my birthday. I did a lot of good things for myself after the breakup but how am i supposed to forgive her and get over the fact i basically lost 2 years of my life in a sexless relationship.
