Yes, Jimmy's the oldest; oldest to youngest it went Jimmy, John Paul Jones, Bonzo, Robert. As others mentioned, Jimmy is playing a Theremin during Whole Lotta Love. You did Bonzo's Moby Dick, I'm surprised you didn't do Jimmy's White Summer/Black Mountain Side from this same concert. It's a great bit of guitar work with many close-ups of his playing. Please consider doing it.
Page was working a theremin for those sound effects. Jimmy had so much fun with the theremin…call and response with Robert. Watch what he does at MSG ‘73 concert with it. JPJ was the ultimate studio musician..,fantastic arranger, multi-instrumentalist….but never noted for being animated…to say the least. I’ve only seen him totally bonkers funny once, and that was in 2012 in an interview with David Letterman….with the other two guys…..They purposefully had them take the lead in the interview…and he had them gobsmacked. 😁. Watch it….hysterical.
I graduated from high school, in rural VA, in 1993. I was into Metallica, STP, mainstream metal and grunge, with a very strong interest in classic rock, born of my interest in all things of the past. A couple of years later a friend gave me an incomplete Zeppelin box set while he was moving, as I was very interested in the Zeppelin mythos. I dug into the set, talked about it with my friends. Another friend got me Led Zeppelin III as a birthday gift, thinking this was what I was missing, when indeed I was missing the third disc of the original four-disc box set. I dug into III. The juxtaposition, the counterarguments presented on either side, were unexpected. I had not listened to a full album before that. I listened to IV subsequently, then I and II. I believe that Plant and Page wanted to delineate themselves from Black Sabbath in a pronounced manner with III. I look forward to your responses.
I think in that movie they show Jeff Beck backstage with the group before the show. You should have shown the whole Paris song. It's awesome. Jimmy was getting the same sound on stage like the studio.
The French television bit was some kind of variety show. Zeppelin did it for publicity. Page said they came on after a Salvation Army orchestra. You can see members of the orchestra in the audience. They were not given any kind of chance for a soundcheck which is why it sounds so terrible. After their second album came out, they started turning TV appearances down, even though, Zeppelin was being offered huge amounts of money.
That sound effect was from a theramin which you break a contact by moving a hand and depending how you do it the sound changes. A very early and primitive synth. I think it was invented by a Frenchman mid 20th Century.
Jimmy Page is using a Sonic Wave theremin: one antenna, controlling the pitch, while loudness is controlled by a volume knob (for the odd noises you had trouble id'ing, Mike). btw NOT the 1st, but the 2nd album. Hi from Canada- Peace, love and bellbottoms.
Can somebody please help me to complete the lyrics of the communication breakdown the part when they star the improv, is my fav part Lyrics: (Common my baby!) Everybody been talking me baby About the way you miss me around I don’t care what they saying baby ….. If I’m not correct, please tell me!
C'mon, my baby ……… Everybody been talking, my baby 'Bout the way you mess me 'round I don't care what they're saying, baby I'm gonna groove right out of this town That's all right, that's all right ……… That's a nice one Yeah, that's a real fine one
Just to comment your comments on the audience. Back then they were really listening to the music. They didn't know back than how to behave properly as a rock audience. This is different today. They know how to dress and how to move. The only thing I feel sorry about is that rock music doesn't seem to have moved much since that time. But the audience knows how to dress up and choose the right hairdo.

The Eddie Cochran covers for the encores at RAH were fantastic, as was Bring It On Home.
This concert was a blast. More please!

Whole lotta love live 1973 Madison square garden
Top 5 hard rock songs ever. With a dash of psychedelia..
Really enjoyed your reactions to all of the songs from the RHA concert. All the work you put into it is much appreciated. Thanks! :)
Dev needs to see Since I've Been Loving You as MSG in 1973. The audience was well and truly served, as she puts it

Nah that wasn’t the end! They did two encores and bring it on home

Awesome guys
Page was playing the theramin to the side of the stage during the freak out section of WLL, which is what you called feedback
I think Dazed And Confused in Madison Square Garden is worth watching. Although it is very long. Jimmy at his best.

That cracked me the hell up!
The Albert Hall show was on Jimmy's birthday.
Nobody mentioned the hand knit sweater his mom made for his bday that Jimmy had on !
I believe that bring it on home is apart of that concert as well. You might have to look for it. It's worth watching

Yes
Whilst they weren't a singles band, I do believe this was their one and only single release
