Everything they do is amazing, hard pressed to find a bad song, everything from MSG is excellent. They filmed from these 3 concert nights for their movie. This is one of my two favorite lives, the other one is live at Earls Court May 25,1975 of In My Time Of Dying. The best video for that is Andriu 1962, another amazing soulful song. They always put so much passion into their music, they love & feel what they are playing. Greatest band ever, thank you for your reaction, hope to so a lot of LZ.
Famously, the band had the night before 1 million dollars stolen from the safe of the Drake hotel that they had stored for safe keeping. That added a lot of fire to this whole performance, it is legendary, even a movie "The song remains the same" was a rite of passage when I was kid in the 70s and 80s.
I just subscribed based on this terific reaction, so y'all need to "Get the Led out," now, y'hear? Sorry, do what u want, lol, but I can guarantee that you will love other performances of theirs. "Whole Lotta Love" (1970 show, or also the official video of it is great). "Kashmir" at Knebworth (1979, a year before they disbanded--their drummer dies, dammit) is insanely good. "Dazed& Confused" from 1969, when they began, is mind (and eardrum)-blowing. "That's the way" (1975) shows their softer side.
I've heard this song countless times, I've seen this video probably in the hundreds. Too enjoy watching this again first you have to love the music but secondly it's the reaction of the people you are watching it with. So thanks for a great reaction and sharing my love of Led Zepplin with both of you.
I'll just put it like this regarding Robert Plants' vocals... there's a reason that their dressing room always had a very long line of groupies... and they weren't there for autographs...
I grew up with LED ZEPPELIN and I've managed to see them live back in 1971. They were "everything you wanted to hear, but didn't dare ask"... I am so glad that young people like you enjoy today what I enjoy since I was a teenager. ❤
Everyone comments on it, but it was normal at the time. Jeans couldn't be tight enough, and it was the thick dark blue denim without the elastic, and you had to wear them out yourself. You could get small bruises from the folds in your pants.
Me and my dad saw Robert sing last year, and he still has an incredible voice! Amazing to think my dad last saw him in Zeppelin at the Bath Blues Festival 1970 🤯
Definitely do more Led Zeppelin. They are the best rock band ever. The variety of genres, the experimental aspects, improvisation, and sheer out-of-this-world talent. Join us in the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole. You will thank us for it. ♥️
Led Zep is legendary for their improvisational acumen. No song was ever played exactly the same way twice. I would recommend listening to the studio version so you can see how it was enhanced live.
Jeez, You could say that in regards to many of their songs, Zeppelin were a live band, all of their studio stuff was really good, but you really have to listen to them live to really appreciate them, thats why they insisted on having NO singles, so much improvisation, no song was played the same when they were on stage, they cannot be compared to any other band.
Welcome to the greatest rock band of all time. There's SO much for you to listen to from these fellas. There best listened to live, but the studio recordings are still awesome. May i recommend Black Dog next? It's a good starting point for anyone who's not familiar with the band.
Welcome to Led Zeppelin. They have numerous genres of music for you to choose from. Some suggestions could be Kashmir live from Knebworth, The Ocean live from MSG, or Trampled Under Foot live also from MSG. Going to California live is a good mellow song. They are master musicians and very talented. Enjoy. Good reaction
Can you imagine being a youth when this band first came out and being there for the start of Legends? I was so lucky to be born at the right time. I bumped into Robert Plant in my local shopping centre here in England and what a down to earth bloke he is. Keep the music coming, loving it when you react to this era. Love to both.
I've made this comment before about women's reaction to Led Zeppelin.....It's precisely the reason parents of daughters were terrified of this band.. this is also not the only couple reaction in which the guy was just a teensy bit jealous😄😄😄
Hehe! - it was absolutely hilarious watching Jess getting all hot and flustered! You might enjoy the comparison of watching them decades later, playing "Kashmir" (live from Celebration Day). John Bonham, the drummer had died, and was replaced as a one-off by his son, Jason. It's a really mind-blowing performance!
@@eternallearner4753 YES Absolutely I totally agree. Kashmir live from celebration day a must. I think and I might be wrong ( somebody correct me please ) but they had not played in many years and the 20 thousand seats sold out instantly and over 20M people requested tickets for that one time concert.
True, but all those bands were different, even a little different, every time they played live. I never got to see the mighty Zeppelin live though I have many 1970s live recordings and they are all indeed all different
@@Guv-x7o Are you kidding?? Have you heard any of todays computer generated so called music by rappers and bro country makers/fakers of music? Have you ears that can hear???
@andykitson50 Me too. I hope you weren't the one that let our tyres down ! More positively, I recall a newly-wed couple, still in full dress, making their way from back of the gig down to the front. The crowd just parted like the Red Sea. Amazing to see.
Initially called the New Yardbirds, Led Zeppelin was formed in 1968 by Jimmy Page, the final lead guitarist for the legendary British blues band the Yardbirds. Bassist and keyboard player John Paul Jones, like Page, was a veteran studio musician; vocalist Robert Plant and drummer John Bonham came from little-known provincial bands. The group was influenced by various kinds of music, including early rock and roll, psychedelic rock, blues, folk, Celtic, Indian, and Arabic music. One of the best rock bands ever. Thanks for sharing. ATB regards from the UK
The studio/album version from Led Zeppelin III is fantastic as well. Page's guitar is a voice of it's own. You might not understand the words but you know exactly what it's saying.
Welcome to live Led Zeppelin!! This song and this performance are perfection!!! The greatest band ever!!! Full of surprises - Multi-genres throughout their discography and Live performances improvisation par excellence. Great reaction. Thank you. Hope you'll journey down the LZ rabbit hole. 😁☮
You guys are top-notch! Chemistry, humor, intelligent comments, and properly gobsmacked by the best rock band ever: Led Zeppelin! First tiem viewer, instant subscriber based on this and what looks like an interesting catalog. If you REALLY want to see how "stylish" Robert Plant (the singer) can be, check out "The Ocean" from this same show. Lord, some of the camera angles, lol! Seriously, you can't go wrong w/ them, and it's not all tight jeans, either, lol. Try "In my time of dying" (1975) or (gorgeous acoustic) "Going to California."
Zeppelin is truly the benchmark of rock music. No other band has ever cut such a definitive path for so many bands to follow, even still today. If you want a Blueprint for the perfect rock song should sound like then try Dazed and Confused or for a rock ballad try Babe I'm leaving you. Enjoy.
The night of this performance they had performed something like 26 shows in 30 days. Each show being about 3 hours long. The fact that Robert Plant could even speak, let alone sing those high notes still amazes me. And they still had 8 or 9 vocally challenging songs after this. Just amazing
And he was suffering from nodules on his vocal cords during that tour. He had to have an operation to remove them later in the year. That's why they didn't tour the following year. His throat had to heal completely.
Yeeeesssssss! At last you found the mighty Zeppelin. May I suggest you do more in chronological order (eight albums to get through) and you will not be disappointed. 👍🇬🇧 P.S. you will not find a more musically diverse band...the absolute GOAT!
They knew how good they were, and that comes across in their performance. Total confidence. You never see that today. You didn't see it very much even back then, but you never see that today. It's not something you can fake, and so much today is fake, that there's just no comparison.
Maybe you're just watching the wrong bands? I will admit that with the explosion of choices available nowadays it can be hard to find the jewels amid the muck but they are out there. If you want confidence, try any Pepsi Center performance by The Warning.
@@donrichards271 I don't want anything, it was just an observation. I did not express what I meant very well, or you would not have tried to compare a 20-something girl group to Led Zeppelin, one of the top 3 or 4 most influential bands in rock music history. I don't know how to say it without sounding unkind to The Warning (and I don't mean to be unkind toward them, at all), but they're just not in the same category. Pink Floyd is. The Beatles are. I have never heard of The Warning.
The running joke back in the day (and those were my days, LOL) was that all the girls at their concerts who were in the front row staring at Robert, left the concert pregnant.😂☮🌼

They are a mixture of American blues, English/Welsh folk music and Rock n roll. Keep diving in guys, there catalogue is incredible. Ps, He's average size in the UK! 😉
Any song from this MSG 73 concert is epic. I recommend: The Song Remains the Same/Rain Song, Dazed and Confused, Stairway to Heaven (with an epic guitar solo!), Whole Lotta Love, and Rock and Roll.
have to say I'm really enjoying your journey through my teens and 20s. I was 19 when this concert happened, the music of this era was just a little bit special and won't ever be repeated.
Best way to enjoy Led Zeppelin is to start with Led Zeppelin I, song one Good Times Bad Times; then go from there. The studio versions are the pristine, perfectly balanced, awesome version of the songs produced by Jimmy Page (lead guitar). In concert they would take the song and change it up. Never repeated a song the same way ever when playing live. Led Zeppelin was THE rock band 1968-1980. Please react to more Led Zeppelin. There are millions of Led Heads of all ages that will be here for it.
I' ve seen them 3 times now - very early '70's, 80's and Plant and Page on the 'No Quarter' tour in the 90's. No two performances ever the same, superb musicianship..........
Great reaction and you hit the nail on he head. Led Zeppelin play their songs differently than the recorded versions, and they play each song different from concert to concert. They play off each other, and they are very spontaneous. I saw 3 of their early concerts and they were fabulous. I would recommend listening to the recorded version of this song because it is different and better. The pop ups occur often during live Led Zeppelin live performances on UA-cam but disappear shortly afterward. I would highly recommend Kashmir Live at Knebworth 1979 official video if you react to more led Zeppelin.
Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace Sounds caress my ear And not a word I heard could I relate The story was quite clear They always bowed to the audience. True Artists.
They will freaking blow your mind the more you hear them, every song Is different and their live versions always vary. They are arguably the best musical act in any genre, they are that good. Try Dazed and Confused, the studio original first for the magnificent mix, then do it live at MSG 1973 and be completely blown away. They are always worth a listen and/or a view. Enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
I saw Zeppelin for the first time at a large festival in 1970 and they were as good when seeing them in small venues. I also live about a mile from the huge house that their manager owned which just happened to be opposite my local pub at the time. They are timeless with a huge back catalogue.
Love the way you got in to that guitar solo 😂from a total legend......pair of you were totally onboard there , ha ha enjoy they are in the top 5 bands ever.......top 3 for me.
The best rock band in the world, ever. First saw them in 71' Then all 5 nights at Earls Court in 75'...then again at the Knebworth Festival in 79'...that was their last UK appearance before Bonzo died...seen Page & Plant a few times and Robert solo a few too..the last being just 3 years ago in Glasgow...they have no equal.
You two have just witnessed the best band that has ever been, you both have to listen to more Zep, their music is so diverse as well, please review some more of Zep, I have to say you two are so civilised, keep it up. Try When The Levee Breaks
They were magic. My favorite band since the seventies. Every song is completely different and they played them live different every night. Always on my woopie playlist; Zeppelin is sonic Viagra.
Yep, The Madison Square Garden is Jimmy and Robert's garage. They treated all arenas that way, just improvised their best songs for a few hours, to the total enjoyment of the audience! Loved the reaction, really!
First time watching you 2! Love the Augmented reality setup... very cool. And Zep? Well,,,, We all didn't call em "God's of Rock N Roll" for nothing. Heard Kashmir yet? No. 1 requested song on planet Earth for a solid 10 years straight. As for their outfits... it was the early 70's.... free love was the game of the times'

Never repeated a song the same way ever when playing live. Led Zeppelin was THE rock band 1968-1980. Please react to more Led Zeppelin. There are millions of Led Heads of all ages that will be here for it.
Dazed & Confused, Whole Lotta Love, The Lemon Song, Kashmir
I' ve seen them 3 times now - very early '70's, 80's and Plant and Page on the 'No Quarter' tour in the 90's. No two performances ever the same, superb musicianship..........
Page and Clapton are my favorite British Blues players!
So great both! These gents are THE greatest. Period. 😊 ty for reaction!
There’s 4 of them, & all 4 are the greatest.
@sicotshit7068 was mentioning 'both' as in our hosts.
@ OK, I misunderstood.
@sicotshit7068 you are correct for sure! 😇, all four needed, all four greatest.
British and arguably the greatest band of all time
Greatest rock band there ever was. The epitome of the rock band.
There is NO argument ! !.
What argument?!?
Probably my favorite song from them.
the bluesy soul of Led Zeppelin ❤
The album version is a wonder to behold.
I saw them twice. DayvOn The Green 1982. Also Plant/Paige San Jose 1994? Whole lotta fun! 🎸
I saw them. alongside a couple of other folk, at Knebworth in '79
Bring your longest extension ladder, this rabbit hole is DEEP!!
His voice on black dog is brilliant
Great reaction and you hit the nail on he head. Led Zeppelin play their songs differently than the recorded versions, and they play each song different from concert to concert. They play off each other, and they are very spontaneous. I saw 3 of their early concerts and they were fabulous. I would recommend listening to the recorded version of this song because it is different and better. The pop ups occur often during live Led Zeppelin live performances on UA-cam but disappear shortly afterward. I would highly recommend Kashmir Live at Knebworth 1979 official video if you react to more led Zeppelin.
Thanks for the video guys. Watched this band in 1970 brilliant👍😂🇬🇧
Led Zeppelin are the most important band in Rock n Roll history
was lucky enough to have seen them back then. they were fantastic. and tickets were only $9.50
Their Electric Magic concerts at Wembley Empire Pool in London in 1971 were just 75 pence. Not even one pound. 😅
I’m in my 50s and I was still mesmerized watching them live - glad you guys still appreciated their talent
Talk in song from tongues of lilting grace
Sounds caress my ear
And not a word I heard could I relate
The story was quite clear
They always bowed to the audience.
Enjoy!
🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶🔥
And after you do the MSG songs, you’ve got to react to Led Zeppelin I, then Led Zeppelin II, Led Zeppelin III, Led Zeppelin IV, etc.
I saw Zeppelin for the first time at a large festival in 1970 and they were as good when seeing them in small venues. I also live about a mile from the huge house that their manager owned which just happened to be opposite my local pub at the time. They are timeless with a huge back catalogue.
Robert Plant's look, attitude and voice just screams rock god.
That’s when I saw them, at Knebworth, thanks for the reminder
You two have just witnessed the best band that has ever been, you both have to listen to more Zep, their music is so diverse as well, please review some more of Zep, I have to say you two are so civilised, keep it up. Try When The Levee Breaks
Excellent reaction saw them live in 1974 Greensboro,North Carolina.❤️😎🇺🇸
They were magic. My favorite band since the seventies. Every song is completely different and they played them live different every night. Always on my woopie playlist; Zeppelin is sonic Viagra.
Yep, The Madison Square Garden is Jimmy and Robert's garage. They treated all arenas that way, just improvised their best songs for a few hours, to the total enjoyment of the audience! Loved the reaction, really!
Great Band and Great Concert!
