    In the end either of those bikes should be pretty stellar, so go with what you want. I think anyone who doesn't want you to get a 1000cc is jelly. Out if all the riders I see, you seem to be one of the more safety oriented / less speeding everywhere. If I was in your position I'd do the same thing too. Especially now that you're feeling ready for it as opposed to the first time you sold your bike.
    Looking forward to the comparisons to come though, should be great!

    You are awesome to get a liter bike even after the fact you feel you didn't need one. Got to admit I couldn't believe it when you said it and made me laugh lol, but I'm looking forward to your new vids with the CBR 1000 DOUBLE RR!

      less time exposed in the wrong lane passing a row of semis is always good, more rotating mass and low end torque reduces your chances of stalling with a cage behind you
      the power a liter bike won't bite you in the ass unless you are a moron, in 6th gear at 65 on dry roads you can hammer the throttle with no wheelspin, no wheelie, no drama
      i hate bikes without sight glasses.
      if the suspension is dialed in and the geometry is designed right no bike needs a steering damper.

    It is totally worth it bro, a 1000cc is awesome, the only thing you will regret on the 600cc knowing you is the fuel mileage, but other than that you will have a blast. I didn't regret upgrading to a 1000cc one second. Plus, don't listen to that "it's power you will never use on the street bull shit" it's totally usable. Only people that never rode a liter bike say that. It's more stable on the highway and more confidence inspiring in corners due to the better geometry.

  • @SoopaBee
    @SoopaBee 10 років тому +1

    We're all human and we often tire with what we've got. Go get that liter bike even if you've said before that, "This 600s got all the power I need!" Hey, we all change tastes and preferences. And it's OK to say, "You know...I've changed my mind." Ain't nothin' wrong with that. Good luck and ride safe.

Im gonna give it a shot next time, ive only got a 250 cruiser not fast by any means but fun as hell to me. I really like cruisers for long rides.

    Sounds exciting bro hope you go for it, it will be interesting. A liter bike can be enjoyed just as much as a 600 it's not always about using all of your power. It's about the rider and what makes you feel good when you ride and a new ride always puts a smile on your face.

    I feel like whenever anyone is talking about something they're going to do they wind up sounding like they're trying to convince everyone including themselves that its a good idea. To me it boils down to a few simple questions:
    1) Do you want to?
    2) Can you?
    3) Can you live with the responsibilities that that decision entails?
    Sounds to me like you got check marks on all of those! Go be you! No need for reasons. Have fun on your new bike! I look forward to your thoughts on it. Ride safe.

    I'm sure you'll agree now the new Blade is simply exquisite! I remember a quote from a review. "liter bike for dummies" It'll be hard to explain how magnificent it is. It's not violent, intimidating, or overwhelming like other liter bikes. You'll have your hands full getting those points across to your viewers, and manufacturer specific fanboys will never understand! The Honda isn't the best, but there is no substitute!

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  10 років тому

      When it comes to the total package for the street riding I say Honda is the best. Who makes a better supersport for street riding? kawi no, yamaha no, suzuki no, ducati no, bmw no, etc etc. This 12 fireblade I have handles like a 250 on the twisties which is astonishing for a liter bike. The blade even handles better than my 600rr on the twisties which I did not think was even possible. You don't need bs electronic rider aides with this bike either, the fueling is so perfect anyone can ride it.

    Actually what I remember from that previous video about liter bikes is that you thought that it was overkill for street riding. Personally I think it's good to step it up when the time is right. If you can have a new challange and more fun then why should you pass up on it?
    If you are in doubt about a certain bike why not just go rent it for a day or two? Or maybe just go to a dealer and take it for a spin?

    cyclecruza is it fair to say to an experienced rider with good throttle control a 1000cc bike simply feels smoother and not crazy like a lot of people describe? you get horsepower and torque, right? you can go fast if you want to, but when not it is a nice, smooth ride with effortless acceleration? i ride a 600cc atm and someone told me to ride it a couple years before i jump to a 1000cc, being i am a newer rider of just 3 years. like you i rode a scooter first, but for a longer time because i did not buy a POS chinascoot such as your own! lol. but do you agree i should wait a bit before considering a 1000cc of any kind? what do you think of street bikes such as the CB1000R?

  • @sante1996
    @sante1996 10 років тому

    Yeah Cruza! It will be a nite and day xperience for you. I used to think there was no difference. But as a seasoned rider, you will enjoy the full spectrum of the 1000. There is nothing wrong with the 600, yet when you ride the 1000 you will see the change. Its a good change!! It makes you fall in love even harder than before.

    CC Im a huge fan just curious how you negotiated $9300 otd? Was the fireblade a leftover 2012 or 13? And what was the dealer price ? Just curious im thinking of picking up a fiteblade next year and will comply w a leftover model . Currently left over 13 are at $11500. And 12 at 10999. + fees taxes etc. ( Chicago, Illinois as a refrence)

    Why not try a 899 panigale?i know you stated in a prev vid that you don't like Ducatis but I definitely recommend testing one. I ride one and love the power 148 hp and torque. I test rode the bmw s1000rr before I bought the panigale and it was amazing but I knew that it had a lot more power that I would ever use. After that I tried the 899 and boy it's just awesome. Just the right set of hp and torque not only that but it feels extremely light and easy to ride. Also extremely comfortable for a sport I never had wrist or back probs. could ride it all day and just be fine.

    Have you considered the 2009+ Yamaha r1?? Great crossplane engine with lots of torque and sounds like a V2/4. Also last of the bikes with underseat exhausts which I will miss greatly especially hearing rumours that the 2015 r1 will have a low-slung exhaust... Can't deny those two evil eyes looking at you too - I reckon they're one of the most beautiful bikes. Ergonomically, I hear the r1 triumphs over the r6. That said, how about Suzuki gsxr 1000, which is quite similar to the fireblade?

    I'm surprised that BMW would behave such re: warranty coverage. I drive a '04 MINI Cooper S which I bought new. Not only did it come with a 5 year service warranty but in that 5 yrs they fixed many issues for me that were not specifically covered. Im talking a few thousnad dollars work!
    BMW Corp. Requires their dealers to have the customers rate every service appointment on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being best. The dealership/service dept is so desperate for 5's that they'll do anything for you. Maybe it's different w/ BMW's bike department...?

If you sell the 600rr and do not like the 1000rr, then you will be double screwed. I do think though you will fall in love with the 1000rr. The felling of a 1000 is like no other. After watching your video I felt you were a bit bias in your selection of choices. Honda makes a great bike hence current moto gp standings. I ride an R1 and I'm definitely team Yamaha. But to say you want a Honda and and considered a kawi that's like comparing steak to hamburger helper. A liter bike takes time to master and control. It will wear you out if you let it. Hey #cyclecrazy if I can remember you said in one of your videos 1000cc bike was unnecessary for the streets, but hey man if you want to get a leader bike that's your chance at the end of the day bro

      and I still stand by that statement! I now own the fireblade and can honestly say that the 600 is all you need for the streets. I speak from experience now.

    The 2015 Yamaha R1 will be the sexiest and best motorcycle in the world. You forgot to mention Yamaha and it's the best for a reason. If I were you I'd save my money son and wait. She's gonna have 200+ bhp, that sexy under tail exhaust, and beautiful sexy eyes. Not only the fastest, and sexiest, but also better than exotic liter bikes in every way but way cheaper. Dude R1 is and always will be the best. It's an acquired taste. Once you ride one and get the feel for it there's no bike in comparison. Especially this 2015 coming out. You will regret not getting the best bike for your money. Why settle for second? GO BIG OR GO HOME. son.

    I want a liter bike for 2 reasons. I'm 6'2 so I need a bigger bike for more leg room. And 2, I got big bitches. They gotta be comfortable ride on the bike to accommodate those fat assess. Those are my reasons for needing a liter bike. My 600 is fun but too small.

    I wouldn't make the CBR600RR a track bike. If i were you I would make that 1000RR the track bike. One big reason is on the street you will never achive 1000RR full potential on the street. So i would just keep the 600RR as a street bike. You will have alot of fun on the track with the 1000RR

    Oh Boy. If i had money to buy another bike the last thing on Earth I would buy and park next to my 600 R6 is a R1. I would get a Dual Sport and open up my Biking options. Hell I may even buy a scooter and park next to my 600, just for Post Office trips and Milk. But to each his own.

  • @dupajasia2015

    If you don't get the R1 you'll be making a big mistake man. It's the best in every single way. Faster than every other liter bike in production especially with the 2015 first ever 200+ bhp coming out. You will regret it. BTW. You can't be comparing bikes without riding them. All bikes on paper don't match them in life. R1 is cheap to modify and make your own. The whole fun owning a bike is making it your own. I have over 25 modifications in my bikes. Dude get a R1 best choice. Hands down. Wait for the first ever world production 2015 R1. You will not regret it man.

    CycleCruza, you never speed or anything on roads and as far as I've seen in your vids over the past year, you don't do track days either. So whats the point of buying a liter bike? Lol and you also said your 600RR is perfect for the streets and you'd need nothing more.

    Everybody who talks shit about liter bikes, it's either because they don't have one, never ridden one, or just making up excuses because they can't afford one. 600cc riders say that 1000cc is too much for the street or that a 600 is more fun to ride, whatever, I've never seen anyone go from a 600 to a 1000 then back to a 600 because it was not as fun as the 600, or it was too much power. lmao

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  10 років тому

      Liter bike elitists. I own both a liter and a 600 and I still love my 600rr, On the 600 you can get on the throttle more without being too far deep in the triple digits. Liter bike eats more gas too so you can ride a little longer without stopping for gas. Really, liter bikes are best for the track where you can let the power loose.

    Soooo weren't you saying that a liter bike isn't necessary for the streets and you'll never use that much power so it was a waste, don't need anything more than 600cc?.. Now u go and buy one & got your 600 4 sale. Sounds like you were making a lot of statements w/ out having a proper point of comparison. Now you back tracking...smh
