    CORRECTION: THE YAMAHA R1 DOES COME WITH A BUILT-N STEERING DAMPER.

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  8 років тому +4

      Kawi isn't built in, on top of triple tree, add-on mod. The newer ones come with a SD but it's still on top of the triple tree. When I say built-in, I mean out of sight and incorporated underneath the fairings.

    You know CycleCruza, you really have me convinced on this CBR1000rr. I've always liked them from the start and the biggest thing was having that mid-range power + comfort.
    Ride safe bro!

    Very convincing argument you have for the CBR Cruza. What a great looking bike in yellow too. Honda should take a look at this.

    I have the same bike, mine just hit 4000 miles and I bought it in mid 2013 as a leftover model and similarly got a sweet deal. I´ve ridden it on the track and it´s just a dream to ride. I have a 2008 GSXR600 as well and much prefer riding the 1000RR on the track due to the beautiful engine, smooth transmission and fantastic suspension. I almost want to say that the bike rides itself as it handles so well on the track! LOL!

    My first bike was a 07Gixxer 7Nhalf (GSXR750), rode her until 120,000 miles. Then I got a leftover 2015 CBR1000rr , in late 2016. The most reliable bike thus far, starts everytime, no maintenance issues!!! Fanatics Bike

    I put around 12,000 miles on my 2013 cbr1k repsol ,, no problems at all , only parts changed were yoshimura r77 slip on , motul 300v oil changes, ebc brake pads, and bridgestone s20 tires . Lots of ppl underrate these bikes but I've raced a few r1, gsxr 1k, bmw s1, rsv4 and I beat all. It's all about the Rider. I weigh 150lb with gear on that might be another ++++

      He doesn't go to the track so the cbr1000rr is an obvious choice. He owned a lexus car, and was going to get a ninja 250 but ended up being an issue. I don't think he's a honda fan boy. It's just the bike that suits his needs more.

    Travis M. The reason I asked CC to do a review is because he can go to the nearest dealer a do a test ride and give his take on it. I would do it but the Indian is not available in the country I am in. I will have to purchase it when I return to the states. CC did a test ride on the Harley breakout and I would like to see a review on the Indian.

    You make quite a few very good points that one may have mist when thinking of buying one of these machines... I’ve had quite a few of these bike what you notice is that Honda build them well, there is thought that goes into them and for me they seem to make you a better or faster rider... the Repsol with a yosh will do nicely sir... Thanks for a great review.

    You can hate honda ,the look of the brand,the speed and other things but honda is maybe the most trust bike brand that exist and the mechanic of the bikes is far way better then the others(generally) and they are much more confortable and economic.If they improve the design and speed of the future bikes ,honda will be the best brand without any problems.
    (In MotoGp the speed is crucial so honda made a bike that is a monster just like the yamaha.Just to say that if they want they made it!)

    I will be getting a second bike in addition to my '12 Fireblade. Considering either RSV4 or MV Agusta F4. CycleCruza, you have not mentioned MV Agusta in you selection. I know it is rather an exotic bike, so the parts and maintenance may become an issue. But besides that, what is your opinion on it as far realibility, looks and performance? In my opinion it looks better than Ducati.

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  9 років тому

      That's not what you would call 'built-in,' that's a set-top steering damper, meaning that ohlins steering damper can be added to any bike's triple tree. A built-in steering damper is actually built within the bike, underneath and out of sight like honda's HESD.

    Pimpin & very thorough review. I have some of the very same thoughts with respect to my selection process. Although I hadn't really given any thought to the Aprilla ;-D I believe it also to be the most balanced of all the bikes. Where did you get the fairings?

    CBR's got the least electronics compared to all other liter class bike...all u were looking was the steering damper :P

    Do you have a vid about mirrors because I see a lot of Moto vlogers riding without mirrors, or is it just a personal preference

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  9 років тому

      Only on the track you can ride without mirrors, they probably have bar mirrors.

      BBoyDragonKP Collins Check out gymnast Jonathan Horton's youtube page, he and his wife are like 5 ft tall and had their sportbikes lowered, ask him what he did to lower it.

      Yeah thanks I actually send a lot my friends...... beginner riders to your videos lol. You give some good info in a real fun way. Hell stoped them from having a FUCKED UP DAY LOL. But i ment that more of question for the other guy Meek Milly so that if he goes there and likes the CBRRRRRR... 600 DOUBLE RRRRRRRR. It feel just a bit to tall for him he can lower the seat. Oh keep up the videos man my and my friends love your channel.

    Hey cruza, I remember watching one of your videos on your 2008 cbr600rr and you said the 600 was enough power for any rider. What happened,and why are you on a liter bike now?

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  9 років тому

      +Joseph Liptak I wanted to get a new bike and I couldn't pass the opportunity to get a left-over new 12 cbr1000rr for only $8999 + 300 dealer fee. I had actually planned on getting a new yamaha FZ-09 for 8k but for 1k more I got a much better bike. Otherwise, I really had no intention buying a liter bike. If I ever get another bike it would probably be a super naked like a Aprilia Tuono. I can't see myself ever getting another liter bike although I truly love this cbr1000rr. New Super nakeds are nearly just as light as the supersports these days but more street oriented.

    • @CycleCruza
      @CycleCruza  8 років тому

      Not much but they made the seating position more aggressive starting in 2014+ which sucks for street riding.

    I know this is an old post, and don't want to insult anybody, but all of those bikes have steering dampers, and the R1's is electronic, speed sensitive. There isn't a supersport now that DOESN't come with one.

    how much is it for a used CBR1000rr in your country CC? Because in Singapore it's like around $25k+ for a used one :(

    • @AlecPaulKISS
      @AlecPaulKISS 8 років тому

      +UltimateAveda used 2008 is about $6500 , 2006 $5500... so about $1000 per 2 year loss seems like, I could be wrong.. but that's the price in the KBB motorcycle
