      Can you tell me how you mounted your ram mount?

    • @manofpeace2953
      @manofpeace2953 5 років тому +4

      Thanks for the vid. I would recommend that you learn how to do the basic maintenance yourself, oil change, fluid flush that type of stuff is pretty simple and easy to do yourself and will save you a lot of money.

      @@91TwinTurboZX theres another cool way to mount the ram ball. If you get a couple of 2“ bolts to fit through the aluminium peg feeler posts, you can make a very neat platform between the ignition and the HESD. Here's a pic ibb.co/xjsdN2k

    • @TheDucatiPilot

      I took off the HESD cover and used the screw mount for the cover. It fit perfectly.

    I have the 2005 of this bike in black and silver. Ive had it for about 12 or 13 years. I love it and likely will keep it forever. Told my kids I want another set of plastics for Christmas and IM thinking either this blue and yellow or red, white and blue. Your bike looks pretty sweet. Good job.

    86,000km on my 06 now, HESD works great. Maintenance is very minimal. All the new electronics new bikes have can be added to the 06 and 07 (e.g wheelie control, traction control, quick shift up\down, push button gear change and so on).

    Good video, thank you. I got an 08RR and my friend is looking for a sports bike, I told him to get one of them and not even think twice. I think it’s a very well balanced bike and it fits me like a glove. I am just madly in love in riding my CBR, ever time I get on it it’s so much thrill and excitement .... love it !!! I also have a 2019 FatBoy which is a very good looking bike IMO but I feel more comfortable on my CBR.... love them both, it’s such an addiction . Safe riding, and less encounters with the cops!!!

    I got my 2006 CBR 1000RR out of the box, as they hadn't had a chance to put it together to put on the floor yet. When I went in to the shop, which by the way was in Honolulu, I was getting something for my RC51. Then, the row of this bike caught my eye, and I was blown away. Anyone looking to get one of these should try for the 2006-07 rather than the '04-'05, as I wouldn't have grabbed the '06 if it was still the '04-'05 model. IMO, this is still the best CBR they've made, though the '21 SP1 looks like they may have finally topped it. This bike is only 388 lbs dry and can be thrown around in curves like it's a little 600. I had a choice of all the color schemes for this bike and almost got the (LA Rams) color scheme, but the black and red just looked mean, so I grabbed it despite having to wait a few days for them to take it out of the box. The bike is bullet proof, as it has had to sit twice for 2 years or longer, and had no problems starting right back up and ready to go with only a change of battery after a 3.5 year rest, and a change of fluids both times. This is the closest thing to the best bike ever, which was the RC 211V, but they stopped making it in '08, because the Moto GP bikes went down to 800cc, so Honda stopped making their best CBR and moved the exhaust from undertail to bottom right side, and the undertail exhaust is one of my favorite things about this bike. I also have a PC3 with Sato Racing exhaust on it, before they stopped making exhaust, which sucked, as theirs was amazing for this CBR. I took the Electronic dampner off, as people were having problems with it getting too tight at high speeds on the track, so I put a regular Ohlins dampner on mine, and there are a few other small mods, but not much as not much was needed for this beauty. Sorry for the long response, but I just recently got mine back and was happy to come across this video. I noticed you got rid of yours, which I'm surprised you did. Someone will really be enjoying that bike though. Peace and safe travels!

      @Rolls Royz it’s setup where they can remove a few bolts take off the side cover and slide the transmission out of the engine. Where the rest of the bikes you have to completely disassemble the engine to work on the transmission. So with a normal setup to get to the transmission you first remove the engine from the bike, then remove the head, then remove the sleeves, then split the engine cases and there is your transmission 5/6 hours later for a good mechanic. On the Honda cassette style transmission you remove 1 cover on the side of the engine and slide the transmission out which can be done in minutes. I wish they all had this.

    I have exactly the same bike, bought it last year (Australian)...43,000 KMs same colours 👍... Had a few flaws example I had to change the stator over myself using a Haynes workshop manual and a few UA-cam videos God bless people who post Vids 👍 then the bottom end bearings and crankshaft siezed GJ previous owner not looking after it I'm guessing... Instead of getting rid of it I decided to pay 9 1/2 thousand dollars Australian to get a full bottom end rebuild at the local Honda shop, lots of people said why not a new bike... Because I like this model and I like the old school without all the fancy electronics... Now I have a 2006 CBR 1000 bulletproof beast...omfg yeah baby !!!... No disrespect to anyone else who has any other model or make of bike but I can honestly say this thing Is worth every penny I spent and would recommend to anyone spending a few dollars if you like the bike rather than replacing with a new one if you really want something old school and meaningful.
