  • Lively questions from OsteoBoston members and illuminating answers by Professor Belinda Beck, originator of the Liftmor Study, and the resulting ONERO exercise program. Discussion pertains to (search for) previous video entitled, "ONERO, HOW and WHY it works- How We Created It" with Professor Belinda Beck.
Belinda Beck is Professor of Exercise Science in the Menzies Health Institute Queensland at Griffith University (Gold Coast, Australia). She is also the Director of The Bone Clinic, a translational research facility and clinical practice providing for patients with osteoporosis.
Professor Beck received her BHMS or Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences and Education at the University of Queensland, Australia and then went on to receive her Masters and PhD at the University of Oregon. Professor Beck completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in the U.S. at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
Professor Beck’s work, primarily related to the effects of mechanical loading on bone, has involved both animal and human models, from basic to clinical research. She is presently a Professor and researcher at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia.
Her specialty focuses have been exercising interventions across the lifespan for bone health. In her quest to change the narrative for bone density issues, Professor Beck has in recent years developed the ONERO exercise program for the prevention of osteoporotic fracture. This program is now delivered around the world.

This is an excellent program. I have been doing it in Queensland, Australia.
It needs to be correctly accessible to everyone in the world.
There is too much information given online which is not backed up by such intense studies as yours. So many people know of and refer to your Liftmore studies and promote their own interpretation of it.
This would be very dangerous and give false hope.
Thank-you for explaining it so well Belinda.
