Even if you have a cap+ frequency programmed as conventional it will still show cap+ on the scanner, so you'll always know when you find a system. Make a note of that frequency and follow the directions in this video to start building out and automatically discovering the LCN, Unit ID's, and TGID's.
I've had a lot of requests about programming a CAP+ DMR MotoTRBO Trunking System. In this video, I show you a quick and easy way to discover and build a system starting with a single frequency.
I like using custom searches to find new systems, it's a fun way to program.

It seems as you are the only guy on UA-cam really showing how to gorilla style capture frequency’s and systems and store them manually into your scanner. I love it. It is the true spirit of scanning.
I wouldn't say that is easy for a newby, but it confirms I am not technologically ready for this radio. Thank you for this video. I will keep me searching for a more user friendly scanner. Thanks again.
We are missing this kind of content from you!
It sure took me a while to get this - and I ain't no slauch! I had to slow down the video and watch it probably 7-8 times. I finally captured the TGID. Now, I get to watch 7-8 more times to figure out how to save it all! Thanks
Ive found lots of stuff around here after watching this and applying what I learned, Thank You!!!
You bet! Thanks a bunch for watching!
Thank you neighbor from Chubbuck!!
One suggestion for us newbies, maybe talk a little slower and explain what’s obvious to you. It may not make sense at all without knowing what you’re trying to show us. Maybe list your videos as episode 1, episode 2 etc so we can have a sequence to follow. Just thinking out loud. Thanks
Terry Conner Thank you for the input 🙏 I actually felt the need to be somewhat fast because of all the comments on other videos about going to slow making it hard to watch. We’ll find the sweet spot.
Change your playback speed to 0.5... LOL
I don’t even know yet what a Cap+ system is. Haha
Thanks dude I have found a few Cap+ freqs all in the same site.
👌 Excellent! 🙂 You’re welcome and thanks for watching.
Do you add other frequencies into the same site and find the LCN and colour code the same way.
We have cap + in uk that seem to be just single channel, not trunked
Very useful…. Thanks…off to try it now ☺️
Will wait for the Sentinel version to come out. But you mentioned you were using a certain antenna but you did not show it or name it. Thanks for the video
I’m confused, why didn’t you enter color code? Why leave it under search? I think I been doing it wrong all along as I always leave LCN at 0 when analyzing, didn’t know I had to enter a place holder. Thank you very much for the video though! Excited for this one.
Jay L. I leave the color code on search. If you have it you can enter it though. Your welcome 👍🙂
Boy And A Scanner oh ok, just thought it was better to leave the color code under the search option like you did lol

Thanks for another great video. Switched from UBCD3600XLT to SDS100E yesterday and SDS is an amazing device. I was not expecting it to look so good in real life and to work so well. Can this searching be done somehow automatically or do I always need to wait until the talk pops up and be quick enought to save the data of each newly populated ID? Can this be done through Trunk discovery on the particular frequency? Thanks!!
I have a sds200 scanner can you explain what does the filters settings means
Hi David well it’s been a while are you planning on doing any new SDS100 videos? Are you still listening to your 100, did you ever get your battery latch fixed, have you found any new antennas for us to try, etc. I sure hope so! 🤞🤞🤔
No Reply from David I wonder if he’s OK!!!
Is this working too for Hytera Xpt trunking with only the repeater frequency? Thanks for an answer, Sir.
What about DT3 dmr
I have a question. Is there a way to input multiple frequencies when doing an ID search?
What is a LCN? Can I get more info on the antenna you spoke about.
Logical Channel Number
Will these do Linked Capacity Plus?
How do you program a DT3 standard dmr
What is the LCN ? Timeslot ? Obviously not talk group as you have that separately.
I thought Motorola was == DMR - but they added something extra in CAP+ ?
Logical Channel Number
This methot works with D3?
works this on the ubcd3600xlt olso
"This works"
Go ahead and go ahead to go ahead.
4:10 what antenna
The antenna that is currently on the scanner.

I was thinking on buying a scanner to listen to police in my area, but was told you can’t listen to all the good stuff anymore.. is this true..?? All this fancy programming just to hear a maintenance man call his co-worker for a wrench..!!
Lol 😂 ya in some areas they use encryption but I really haven’t had issues in my area. You can look up info on your area at radio reference dot com.
I have a bunch of programming I wanna do with mine but don’t have the time or patience, I’ll pay you to program mine for me I live local in utah
Way to complicated, just purchased the sds 100. To much to learn in my opinion.
Why would you buy the fanciest most complicated scanner on the market if you want basic?
Too many “go aheads”. Can’t take it
Sorry… see ya 👋 thanks for trying lol
We have a hospital that is encrypted cap plus. Sad face
