Watching a young black man holding his chest listening to Led Zeppelin has put a smile on this lady's face... You're listening to the soundtrack of my youth! Great reaction my friend!
I think it's amazing that this young man (color is not necessary, he is not defined by his skin color) is listening to and loving true music. I'm only 32 and Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are where it is at. He has a bunch of Floyd things on the channel, even a clip on Syd (Shine on You crazy Diamond). He has great taste. My apologies for the short story. Peace and Love.
"Rock and Roll" will get your foot a-tappin. Zep helped bring American Black blues to ... AMERICANS! Blues musicians weren't that closely followed from their roots (1920s) by US people; it took British hard rock bands to reintroduce THE ELECTRIFIED BLUES in the late 1960s and throughout the '70s to Americans. So, why shouldn't African-Americans find this music attractive and meaningful. Now they can listen to the original versions done by Sonny Boy Williamson, Muddy Waters, BB King, Howlin' Wolf, and so many others and then hear what the rockers added to the originals. Music appreciation, music history, cultural awareness, etc.
" How can any band be so good?" That really is all there is to say about Led Zeppelin, they were just that far above everyone else. One of the best, if not the best singer, guitarist, bassist/keyboardist and drummer, all in one band. The universe really had it's shit aligned when it put these 4 musicians together.
Jimmy Page started off as a session musician in London, then joined The Yardbirds in the 60's whose other members also included Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck.
My Brother came home from Vietnam and gave me House's of the Holy when I was 12.. so I have been Rocking hard with Zeppelin for 51 years.. I have give Grandkids and the first C.D I bought for them was Led Zeppelin's Lullabies...🤘🤘🤘
I love hearing Jimmy Page (guitar) and Robert Plant (vocals) mimic each other while at the same time John Paul Jones (bass) and John Bonham (drums) are doing the same thing half a step later. Just epic !!.
DZ leaves everybody speechless, no word to describe what this song makes you feel. We are beginning of..1969 !! The future God of drums Bonham is just 20 years old, singer Plant 20 ...incredible unbelievable stunning ....This piece has toppled the old rock sound in a new era . 6.30 mn to create a new style of rock. Guitars , drums will never be the same after.nobody heard a sound like that, by that time. So modern, timeless DZ, heavyness, savage solo, sex excitement, fantastic construction Love to see how a 52 years old song stunned young people. This is the magic of LZ ...
What is enjoyable is watching you enjoying this song for the first time that I've been enjoying for the last 40 years or so. It's like hearing it for the first time all over again
I am so glad that people younger than myself like and respond the same way I did when these albums came out. Being open to old and new music genres is such a beautiful thing.
Bands from way back didn't carry anybody, they were all at ease with their Instruments and had put in the hours learning their craft of Musicianship and Song Writing, and that's where the Quality comes from.
4 geniuses putting together timeless classic music, that will never be duplicated. Zeppelin has been my no#1 group for the last 42 yrs. Every song is classic, that's rare. Loved seeing your reaction. You obviously have an ear for kick ass music!! Love ya!!
Led Zeppelin-- Robert Plant--vocals Jimmy Page--lead guitar John Bonham--drums John Paul Jones--bass guitar and keyboards That sound in the middle is Jimmy playing the guitar with a cello bow! Greatest band to ever live!!🤘🎶🎶
Zep were a force of nature. 4 insanely talented people who fed off of each other, allowing for the experimentation and dynamics you hear in this song. Love yr reactions to it!!
Do both, studio first, then live. Both are excellent, but the live version gives you a glimpse of how they improvised their studio songs when they played live. For me I prefer the live version, but it’s two completely different animals when you listen to them playing in the studio vs live.
Great seeing you so into classic rock. We walked on air in the 70's , heads in the clouds, Zeppelin, Floyd, Genesis, they took you to another universe. Try some Barclay James Harvest.
God I wish I could hear this for the first time again. It’s so insanely good and borderline magical to listen to. Hearing it back in the 60s for the first time must have seriously blown peoples minds. Like just imagine you’re a teen in 1969 and you fucking hear 4:08+ and hear that guitar come in, AFTER having heard all the rest of the amazing was. It still gives me chills when I listen to it
The band especially Robert Plant so heavily influenced by the American Delta Blues. Many of their biggest hits are covers/reinterpretations of old blues songs.
Zeppelin....the gift that keeps giving! They still are the best hard rock band ever. They all brought so much talent, passion and creativeness to the table, no one could come close. They have a HUGE catalogue, enjoy every damn minute of it!!!!!!
So far I dig your vids. I love to see this music I've listened too that I found in my fathers record collection as a young teen. It changed my life forever. To see it be exposed to a new generation, to move through new ears that have never heard it before is a true gift. This is the music that made music, and changed the rock genre forever. Before auto-tunes where bands had to practice their craft and use their instruments like a surgeon uses a scalpel with precision. So happy you found Zepplin and Floyd bro. But one thought, especially with bands like this... the lyrics have meaning and it would be awesome if you could help expand on that to the listeners. Like Robert Plant sings (lead singer) "Everyday I work so hard, bringin' home my hard-earned pay, Try to love you baby but you push me away", who can't relate to that... man or woman. These lyrics, as well as the jams, should be brought to the masses!
I think Over the Hills and Far Away is my favorite by Zeppelin... or maybe Ramble On, Heartbreaker, or All My Love. Sheesh there's a lot of good stuff to get into here... Also I second the person below who said you should listen to War Pigs by Black Sabbath. That song's crazy
The year was 1969, and experimentation and avante garde was on the bleeding edge. The psychedelic portion in the middle of this song (and the breakdown part in the song "Whole Lotta Love" are great examples.
Just watched this video, you've heard a masterpiece , led zeppelin excellent band to start out with they one of pioneers of early rock , one of my favs
Before Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page was basically the hottest session guitar player in England. John Paul Jones (bass) was a master session bass player and multi instrumentalist. Page was in the Yardbirds before starting Zep. The talent was undeniable from the word 'go.'
Yo D! I've heard you comment about how the music back then was so different compared to music of today, and in truth it is. It wasn't just a song for many of these bands. It was an artform. But, what was performed on stage and on those albums was passion, not flashy content and structure. Music back then had soul and it came from it's roots of the blues. In fact, I have a perfect example for you. You need to listen to 'Little Wing' by Stevie Ray Vaughn. It's actually a cover of Jimi Hendrix, which originally had lyrics, but SRV let his guitar do the singing for the entire song. It's perfect display of soul and emotion, accompanied by outstanding performance and arrangement, brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.
For something really atmospheric (and crazy slow!) listen to 'Rain Song' from the live album 'The Song Remains The Same'. It sends shivers down my spine every time I listen to it!
Watching your reactions to the music I grew up to and has been the lifeline to so many is incredible! Your reactions bring this 60 year old back to my days and all that went with these times! I hope your going to love and experience this like so many have and still do! So much to come!
Check out "When the Levee Breaks" the drums by Bonzo are out of this world and one of my favourites "Achilles Last Stand" "Fool In The Rain" and "The Lemon Song" .
ive just gone on a spree of watching you react to all these classics - seeing you discover them has been amazing there is plenty more where this came from! the back catalogue of classic rock is deeeeep
That moment when you start “feeling” Zep, you are certainly “feeling” them now. And great point about , not only playing , but writing this stuff. True genius lies more in conception than execution. Anyone who is musically inclined can play parts of Beethoven’s 9th, but only one person in history was genius enough to have conceived it
The old Zep blues tracks are amazing! Try “you shook me” “I can’t quit you babe@ and “how many more times” all from the first album. You will be shocked as you were in this great reaction!! IMO stay with the studio recordings first.
Led Zeppelin - The Ocean (live) In The Light, No Quarter, When The Leeve Breaks. Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii. Jimi Hendrix - Woodstock - Jam Back at The House, Isabella. Queen - White Queen live at the Hammersmith. Dire Straits - Salterns of Swing (live) The Who - We won't Get Fooled Again, Pinball Wizard. Cream - White Room.
Zeppelin- amazing.....Floyd- amazing..... If you want to do your soul a favor, with lights off, no camera- Listen to Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings
Catch the 1973 MSG LIVE 28 + minute version. Page and Bonham Drummer DESTROY IT,!!!! GREATEST LIVE PERFORMANCE YOU WILL EVER EVER EVER SEE. THE CHERRY ON TOP ..BONZO DRUM SOLO AT END OF SONG. ITLL BLOW YOU OUTTA YOUR CHAIR
Love the way D Mont gets straight into it instead of talking about stuff for half and hour before, as many do. He also really feels the music.Keep up the good work man!
D. Mont - I understand your excitement. I've had it for this band for over 50 years!!!! LZ in studio is awesome but they were built for and intended to be a live band. Jimmy Page crafted Dazed & Confused to be an improvisation vehicle in live performances. Each song they do live is NEVER THE SAME TWICE. So you really should treat yourself to see it live - A WHOLE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE!!!! . It shows their incredible musicianship plus a tight jamming improv. Plus you can see how Jimmy creates those sounds. 1973 Madison Square Garden is fantastic but it's 28 minutes ua-cam.com/video/ZQgYn23Xvck/v-deo.html There's another version from Royal Albert Hall in 1970 which is 15 minutes and also incredible ua-cam.com/video/8WoQDpz7HOM/v-deo.html ALSO - PLEASE check out another live performance from MSG - Led Zeppelin BLUES - Since I've Been Loving You (again album version is great but live particularly at the Garden is UNBELIEVABLE) The emotion in performance will carry you away - It's so GREAT ua-cam.com/video/1gHlbHtdVLU/v-deo.html (starts with some backstage stuff) YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!! There's so much diversity in LZ's catalog. I hope you'll continue to explore. PEACE
This song is truly unbelievable- one of the most blazing rock songs ever recorded. Jimmy Page knew exactly what he was doing and was making a statement. Thank you for the excellent reaction!
I've been listening to Rep since I was about 10 years old. I'm now 61 and I have stopped listening to them. Glad you've discovered the greatest rock band ever! I love watching your reaction to hearing this song for the first time. You only have scratched the surface of this band's talent. Once you have listened to all of their albums both studio and live check out the Kennedy Center Awards presentation to really get a feel on how they have influenced many bands and just the sheer appreciation the music world has for them. They are on a higher level than other bands.
This song is great because it sounds like a random jam session, but somehow works so well. Everyone just feelin each other and making music based on the feeling.
Hi, I don’t usually comment but I stumbled across your Channel. I’ve enjoyed watching your reactions to Led Zep and Pink Floyd. Can I suggest a listen to band called Tool and the song The Pot. Also if you already haven’t listened to Rage Against The Machine, I’d give Bulls On Parade a listen. Thanks
I think of the same thing all the time just like you. How the hell do they put something like this together. It would be impossible for me to even create just one of these notes out of the blue.
Like Led Zeppelin? So do I. I was 18yrs old when I first saw them at the Tampa Stadium. I saw them every time they played at the stadium. Believe it or not, they are even better. They are true rock stars, a dieing breed today, it seems. The first I ever heard them, I knew that they were a legendary band. They will live on through the annuals of musical history just like the greatest classical music artists, such as Beethovan, Mozart and now Led Zeppelin. Dazed And Confused is only one of their greatest. I don't have a favorite song by the Led Zeppelin. Its hard to have a favorite song by this group. Thank you for playing this song! Us older people still rock out to the Led Zeppelin! Lol!!
Zeppelin is my foundation. They helped me to expand my taste in music. Some reaction suggestions: Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, Robin Trower, Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez, REM, the Police, and for sure Radiohead.
Any Zeppelin song reaction is beautiful, but for some reason this song does best for a first timers reaction. Led Zeppelin only released albums and is meant to listen to them thru it's entirety. Every album is an amazing experience.
When this album came out a lot of the seasoned session drummers Page had worked with in the 60s were asking him who in the world was the drummer in his new band . They couldn't believe it when he told them it was some 20 year old kid from the Midlands that nobody ever heard of
When you get to "Whole Lotta Love" DO NOT react to the video that says 'Official Music Video'. It cuts out 30 seconds right in the middle of this iconic song. i see a lot of YT reactors make this mistake and it's a shame because it's one of their best jams. Here is a good link: ua-cam.com/video/HibBnC6SVk8/v-deo.html
Watching a young black man holding his chest listening to Led Zeppelin has put a smile on this lady's face... You're listening to the soundtrack of my youth! Great reaction my friend!
absofreakinlutely......
You think that's something, you had to see this Chicano holding his chest.
If you have 28 minutes to spare, the live version of this from 1973 will blow your mind.
Absolutely amazing...Jimmy!!
Shortest zeppelin live version, thanks.
Fuck yeah!
Nah... It's kind of a waste of time considering how many great songs are out there.
Absolutely agree, it is not comparable to anything, so pls if you like them listen to it.
Led Zeppelin still making people speechless in 2020. See this year ain't so bad after all.
Welcome to What's Known as "The Zeppelin Rabbit Hole"!! There's Room for Everyone!!
and there is no escape
Don't know where you goin, only know where you've been!!!!! THAT'S DEEP!
I was about to comment welcome to the worlds biggest rabbit hole. And then i saw your comment. Lol
When The Levee Breaks is an absolute banger
If it keeps on raining, the levees gonna break
Bring it on home is another banger.
One of my all time favorites. They have so many great songs. The blues rock blend is wicked.
"Rock and Roll" will get your foot a-tappin. Zep helped bring American Black blues to ... AMERICANS! Led Zeppeling and Pink Floyd are the best rock bands from the 70s. Period
and the Beatles and the Rolling Stones
Best of all time
Jimmy Page started off as a session musician in London, then joined The Yardbirds in the 60's whose other members also included Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck.
It ain’t just you. Millions of Zeppelin fans in the world. Selling a couple hundred million records does that. All roads lead to Zeppelin.
Amen
beatles too!!
Love that!

The first time I heard this song I realized I have been waiting all of my life for this song.
"What Is And What Should Never Be", "Ten Years Gone" and "Fool In The Rain"
"Ten Years Gone"
Ten years gone, so damn great
Ten Years Gone is my top favorite. And Bonham’s drums in Fool In The Rain is undeniable🔥
Fool in the rain might be my favourite Zep song
@@KFPro42 It may be mine too.... But that's a tough choice to make....lol

It's rare that each member of a band is so talented individually. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson are a few examples of those rare cases
Holy shit....King Crimson? You are definitely from my generation. One of the most underrated bands of all time.
Best of British blues heavy rock!
Bands from way back didn't carry anybody, they were all at ease with their Instruments and had put in the hours learning their craft of Musicianship and Song Writing, and that's where the Quality comes from.
Very well said
My favorite saying is... “it sounds better on vinyl because the music was better”
I was a freshman in high school when this was released. I'm still blown away at 68 years of age. Great reaction dude.
Probably the best hard rock band of all time.
Easily the best hard rock band ever!!
4 geniuses putting together timeless classic music, that will never be duplicated.
Zeppelin has been my no#1 group for the last 42 yrs.
Every song is classic, that's rare.
Loved seeing your reaction. You obviously have an ear for kick ass music!!
Love ya!!
I love it when young people discover great bands from the golden age of rock.
“T’was in the darkest depths of Mordor I met a girl so fair, but Gollum and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her...yeah”
LZ digs LOTR!
One of my favourite lines
Led Zeppelin--
Robert Plant--vocals
Jimmy Page--lead guitar
John Bonham--drums
John Paul Jones--bass guitar and keyboards
That sound in the middle is Jimmy playing the guitar with a cello bow! Greatest band to ever live!!🤘🎶🎶
Zep were a force of nature. 4 insanely talented people who fed off of each other, allowing for the experimentation and dynamics you hear in this song. Love yr reactions to it!!
No, it's not just you. It's three generations of music lovers.
Bonham will blow your heart out of your chest with his drum beats
That's what I'm talking about!! Classic& timeless music. The guitar literally sings!!
Zeppelin is an all star band. Every member is arguably the best of all time at there craft
I love it when all my young brothers and sisters experience the Greatest Rock band of all time for the first time. 😎🎸
Try "No Quarter" by Led Zeppelin.
You'll dig it, bro...
Such a mysterious, haunting song of pure genius...
Led Zeppelin - Since I've been loving you. Album version
Live!!
The live version at msg is better than the album version in my opninion.
i think the album version is better
Do both, studio first, then live. Both are excellent, but the live version gives you a glimpse of how they improvised their studio songs when they played live. For me I prefer the live version, but it’s two completely different animals when you listen to them playing in the studio vs live.
The album version sucks big time ... half of the solo is heartless. Absolutly not comparable with the msg live. U all have crap in your ears.
Great seeing you so into classic rock. We walked on air in the 70's , heads in the clouds, Zeppelin, Floyd, Genesis, they took you to another universe. Try some Barclay James Harvest.
Love it- he is feeling the joy we felt as teenagers
Best band ever led Zeppelin
Their music is for everybody, that's how good they are :)
I see a T-Rex walking up the street to this!
I got to see the mighty Zep at 17 in ‘69 in San Francisco. God how they loved the blues!
I went to see them live in Bremahaven Germany when Bonham was still alive blew me away
It still gives me chills when I listen to it
this was released in 1969. The whole first album was so different and amazing. Played it the entire summer that year
Came out when I was 18. Never heard a voice like that before.
I was raised on this music by my parents.. Absolutely love it x
The band especially Robert Plant so heavily influenced by the American Delta Blues. Many of their biggest hits are covers/reinterpretations of old blues songs.
A lot of metal, rock bands don't have as much energy together as in this one music track!
"Whole Lotta Love" is Top 5 hard rock songs of all time. Probably Top 3..
Great reaction, music lover!
I hear the first five seconds of that song and my face LIGHTS UP
THOSE DRUMS!!!!!
Was thinking the same man. John was THE DRUMMER. RIP.

I agree. The studio recordings are masterpieces of timing and clarity, the live versions are marred by poor sound and inconsistent performances.

Thanks
In case you don't know. A violin bow is used by Jimmy to make those haunting sounds on guitar
It was so so fun seeing you love who we adored our whole lives. Noone like them. Noone.
Greatest band ever and ever will be led zeppelin masters of rock and roll
Lol!!
The live version of Dazed and Confused is 27 minutes long from 1973 MSG is 🤯
Epic
Zeppelin is my foundation. They helped me to expand my taste in music. Some reaction suggestions: Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, Robin Trower, Heartbeats by Jose Gonzalez, REM, the Police, and for sure Radiohead.
You should react to “ In my time of dying “ live from Earls Court 1975. It will blow you away. Jimmy slays it on the slide guitar.
This is such an incredible song
Glad you are listening. Maybe the word you are looking for is, viseral.
King Crimson - Starless! It’s an incredible tune with a great groove!
Any Zeppelin song reaction is beautiful, but for some reason this song does best for a first timers reaction. Led Zeppelin only released albums and is meant to listen to them thru it's entirety. Every album is an amazing experience.
When this album came out a lot of the seasoned session drummers Page had worked with in the 60s were asking him
who in the world was the drummer in his new band .
Love your reaction. I first heard them when I was 13. I thought everything after would be this epic.
That song to this day leaves me wanting more, it ends too damn quickly lol
