My playgroup doesn't play kill team anymore but I still enjoy watching your videos because it's one of the best channels covering kill team. I wish the game gave the core rules like warcry for free and the team rules as well.
As for terrain, In article on warhammer community, they openly stated: "This is also where [in card pack] you’ll find all of your Tac Ops, Mission cards, and map keys, along with handy leaflets laying out six different terrain layouts for Kill Zones Volkus, Gallowdark, and Bheta-Decima"
The coop/solo mode aspect of this new edition is what excites me most. Gallowdark terrain + game ia system controlling a tyranid/genestealer/genestealer cult npc team and we can have a Space Hulk kind of experience 👌🏾
I’m interested in the generic equipment. I think it’ll let you address some challenges in unequal matchups. The teams both look interesting. The Vespid will be fun to paint. Free team rules & no shapes are good changes.
Did you know there is a drinking game when everyone drinks when you say, "im sure it will be fine". That tells you how often you ring the, "this is broken" bell. Thanks for the fun game and the video.
Honestly very excited. Friend and I picked up both the starter set with Kommandoz and Krieg a couple of years ago plus Into The Dark but did struggle a bit to start and were going to get back to it but never did. Picked up Warcry, Underworlds, 40k and AoS in the meantime and had a blast with it all but honestly really been hoping for a new edition to get stuck in again and this is 100% got me on board and can't wait to get in to Kill Team.
I'm excited for the new edition. It seems like GW is making decisions I've wanted for a while: Going wide with the players instead of deep. By this I mean making the game way more accessible to new players. No more shapes, free online rules, solo mode, co-op mode. More KT players is a good thing. Making the unit cards for faction available if you want them. The cards and tokens that come with the current edition's season 3 are a huge quality of life upgrade. Behta Decima being part of the new season's crit ops pack. I really hope they do an official rework of BD so that it's as fun as Gallowdark. With the right tweaks, I think it could be.
I’m already thinking about new teams for the upcoming season. Not only do the dispatches give us clues, but I think the original Chalnath book can too. It says in there that other than the Tau, Imperium, and Orks, the Drukhari, Chaos, GSC, and Tyranids are also involved. For the Orks I can see new Stormboyz or new Grots. For the Drukhari I can see new Wracks or Hellions. There could be a lot of things for Chaos. I’d like Dark Mech or Terminators, but it’ll probably be some kind of cultist team. For GSC I can see a Brood Brother equivalent of Kasrkin or Scions, or a brand new jump unit. For Tyranids I’m thinking Shrikes accompanied by Sky-Slashers. I can also see a faction’s jump units being added.
Great video! Always enjoy them. I’m honestly super pumped for the new edition. The new doo-dads look super interesting. I can’t tell if “every faction gets new rules” means “this is your it next balance dataslate” OR, weirdly who knows “we’ve rewritten every teams’ rules”. I mean I definitely think the design of a number of first year teams has dated slightly (just in terms of complexity ie looking at Brood Brothers compared to Wyrmblade). But SUPER excited for slightly cleaner rules and co-op mode. Teaching the game to folk just got way easier. And- oh? What’s this? An excuse to buy some termagaunts do not mind if I do. I actually might use my Cawdor gangers with skitarii heads as mooks BUT still exciting.
18:55 exactly. I think KT needs to stay accessible or it turns into a situation like some video games such as halo where new players can’t compete so it turns into an elite affair only
I didn't catch that all rules would be free, just that team rules would be free. But I'll follow ork logic and believe strongly in your suggestion to make it come true.

You're right in that things weren't broken, but who knows, this may end up being even better. I'm sure there will be a way to be tabled and still win. One thing is for certain, however. this game is already a brain workout, the extremely inelegant rules just make it a pain to play. I come back and play a match or two every few months, and then I remember why I don't play after getting gotcha'd on miniscule rule number 8523
I am very hyped but at the same time a little concerned. The reason for this is the solo&coop. How is that supposed to work on a board as open as the one in KT? In board games, if there is such a thing, it is only because there are tiles on the board . And won't this result in over-simplified rules? Obviously a few changes like obscure or LOS in general would be very useful, but don't let it start to look more like a typical board game than a skirmish.

I kind of don't like the new models. Mainly because the artwork of the tempestus scions are soon much cooler and the models don't represent it.
That's fair, still want Elysians myself haha
this game is already a brain workout, the extremely inelegant rules just make it a pain to play. I come back and play a match or two every few months, and then I remember why I don't play after getting gotcha'd on miniscule rule number 8523
I don't think the game is that bad, maybe it's more your opponents?
@@CanYouRollaCrit nothing against the game, I was more referring to your remarks regarding obsucrity and the likes :) my bad for not pointing it out
They really gave another army all fly. After quinns. This isnt good
I don't think fly will stay the same, also Vespids won't have 3apl or 4++
@@CanYouRollaCrit do you think they should give it back to quinns if they change fly? Because current flipbelt rules are shit.
Maybe, if they still exist 👀
I'll get back to playing KT if they rework LOS.
Very likely they have (:
Well, 2:22 didn't age well :)
What was it? 😅😅😅
Allright, I might be a bit interested into KT again. Got serious burned out due the fast releases for the current edition. But the models are awesome.
Also, I remember Dawn of War Winter assault!
The new models do continue to be amazing!
It'll like have stuff like move x inches towards objective/cover/enemies etc imo
