Great Video, absolutely the best one online, concisely covering this issue, I've collected kill teams for a few years now just for something to paint and have convinced a mate of mine to play a few games, I then found out quite how many could really do with more models and was in the process of working out what I'm gonna need to buy. So thank you so much.

My thoughts exactly. I like KT more than 40K because it’s easier to get into multiple teams rather than hard commit to one army. I’ve always played a bunch of characters in video games for variety and hate “maining” one thing. This video is 10/10.

@bgdaddy42069 that starter box is really great. You can play out the scenarios on your own even just to get a feel for movement, shooting and melee. Once you're comfy with the lite set, you can pick up the full rules book and add in the extra. 70% of the mechanics are covered in your starter box. The last 30% is what makes the game and the teams feel so dynamic.
@@CanYouRollaCrit You don't need to hope it's literally what I've been looking for as I have almost all the kill teams as just a painting project and am just starting to play with a mate of mine and discovering how many need extra models😂
Just wanted to say thank you so much! I am a longtime Black Library fan but never tried tabletop until KT 3e launched. I found your channel from Goonhammer review articles. The most fun part of KT for me is collecting different faction squads I think are cool, and your team reviews basically served as tutorials. Largely thanks to this channel I am currently 4-0-1 in my local game store's Escalation League, and I've played a different team every week!
Thanks for going over the "worse" teams. The multi box teams are not designed to entice brand new players, but probably designed to entice 40k players like me who have those models already. If you already play Genestealer cults, you have a kill team made out of your existing army. If you play Ad-mech, you have a kill team made out of 1/20th of your army. Guard players can use 2 of the 5-6 units of Krieg, Space Marine players...have like all the teams in their collection...etc. Ork players can Kitbash a single Tankbustah/Breaker Boyz kit into both sets of models by using the bodies from either Kommando's or Beast Snagga Boyz to get all 10 models out of 1 box of hard to get kit and 1 easy to get kit.
I consider Nemesis Claw to be a two killteam box as they *could* be NC or Legionary as long as you're clear with your opponent which model represents which operative
About the Ratlings box it’s quite easy to magnetize the arms to be able to have all the options for bullgryn/ogryn. Hell you don’t even need magnets I use blue tac and it works just fine.
Back in the day of metal minis in the 80s I just double pinned arms and pulled them on and off to change weapons but blu tack is a great idea for plastic ones.
Brood Brothers: I bought the KT Box with Yaegirs so I got all the pieces needed and then bought a Cadian Shock Troopers box for my extra gunners and extras needed.
The mandrake box does have one other advantage, it’s the perfect purchase for 40K also. You get two squads of mandrakes which is one of the best units for Drukhari.

Farstalker Kinband Heavy Gunner is easy to magnetise, Leader is hard but it is possible. Worst thing is lack of additional Warriors whinch right now is interesting with their abbility.
I have to point out for the Death Korp box, The Melta gun, Plasma gun, and Boltgun all share the same arm, so you have to build something else if you pick one of those unless you kitbash. So is it really one box if you have to kitbash?
Thanks for doing this video, I think the one box team is a deal breaker for most people to try the game, it's typical GW to make so many teams require more than one box for a skirmish game. Luckily I'm an ork player so I'm eating pretty good with both teams. I've picked up some Blooded also as I want to run guard but not pay for more than 1 box.
