i really admire the fact that Trent is not the center of attention for this performance. that shows to me that he isn't one of those people that always has to be in the spotlight. the fact that he is okay with being a backup singer, a very very humble move on his part.
I been a fan of NiN since the 90's. they literally changed my appreciation for music. I came across tv on the radio around 2007 and fell in love with their style. This is the first time I seen this performance and match up. Seeing this is like one of those full circle moments for me. This is definitely a dream team. Trent never ceases to amaze me with his passion for creating music.
There are only 100 people in the audience, because those are the NIN fan club (Spiral) members that get let in early to the shows. I know, because I'm in that video. Best fan club benefits EVER.
TV On The Radio, Reznor, Peter Murphy, and only about 100 people in the audience? I'm terribly confused. Absolutely brilliant collaboration of talent, and only so many people to witness it.
What's wrong with Kyps voice? It has a well developed tone; rather than bleach clean like pop idols, it has depth, tone, and texture to it. Rather than fitting the accepted style, he works with his own voice and decists from restraining it. In essence, Kyps like an artesian variety of bread amongst the clean, bland, and tasteless blanche of the top 40.
Peter's a professional and the other guys at worst all idolize him. He charted a lot of the musical landscape folks like Reznor call home. What you call cocky is justifiable. What you call being a ham is him owning his part on the song. Which he does amazingly well.
It's not like that... Peter Murphy is a legend and it's an honour to have your song sung by such a guy. Besides, we don't know whether Tunde sung any of the Peter Murphy's songs. Musicians are big egos but it's not always about competition.
there are few better feelings than asking a new acquaintance “do you know TV On The Radio?”, “Do you know Peter Murphy?”, “Do you know Trent Reznor?”, hearing their enthusiastic “Yes!” for each question, and then showing them this, and then witnessing their reaction.
From What I Had Heard. This Had Not Been Rehearsed. So With That In Mind, This Is Incredible.

This was amazing to witness live. Still can’t believe it’s been that long ago
Best unoriginal version of a song I've heard in a long time. TV on the radio knows about music.

Peter Murphy sung this like he had been at home listening to this thinking "I wish I could get in stage with them cause this is my shit".
It's funny how Murphy puts up a hand to Tunde and basically says "Stand back. I got this".

when you have mr trent and mr murphy singing one of your songs then you know you´ve gained respect!!!
for a live recording this mix is amazing
Respect. You got it when Trent Reznor and Peter Murphy are singing your song. Respect...this band has earned it.
I love this song anyway but Peter Murphy kills it. I love his voice for this song.
RIP Gerard...take your wings with you...
This is just legendary.
Form me, this version/performance is one of the best things ever. Love it. Well done all around. :)
