Always, Trent did a recording where he talked about working with Atticus and he is just amazing. I'm glad he teamed up with him. I love how he's so humble, he's just kind of there in the background like yes, I'm aware I'm around a few Legends so let me just kind of take my place. He's a legend himself if you ask me.
Amazing Cover. The original came out before everyone had electronics in their hand while driving. This version totally brings it up to date. I picture the driver texting the last "e" in "Warm Leatherette" at the moment of the crash.
Cosmic Debris Yeah but a great cover song. I like how they added all these new sounds to it. The original is literally the same beat and noise the entire song.
this is now the 10th time I've heard this song in two days, and I CANNOT get enough:) But you do need to listen with good headphones or earbuds to appreciate all of the multilayered awesomeness Trent and company pile onto this bad boy!
You guys all know the original song, done by "The Normal" is actually Daniel Miller who created Mute records in the UK right? Mute has always been the home of Depeche Mode, Erasure, Godfrapp, Moby, Cabaret Voltaire, and Laibach. It's also interesting to note that Depeche Mode's catalogue goes by "BONG 1, BONG 2 etc, and I sometimes think that's where Trent got his "Halo 1, Halo 2" thing from.
Moby's best material (IMHO) was actually on his first label: Instinct Records in NYC. His latter (and far more popular and succe$$ful) material - which I can't stand - is filled with, and often based around, unoriginal samples lifted from blues and gospel musicians in the deep south. Shame really. Even "Go" - which absolutely put him on the map (also on Instinct) - is based on a sample/theme taken from Angelo Badalamenti - a genius composer known for his work with David Lynch. That said - the rest of these bands: are far more original - and I enjoy them all. Nitzer Ebb is also fun. 😎 And this cover is GREAT!
Simply amazing. I always found this song amusing and went looking for it on here. Lo and behold..finding Peter Murphy and this talented gang singing it..and yes, lucky stiffs in that audience...geez!
Oh man....too much. Sheer genius. I've been retired from concert going for at least a decade now, but if they took this on the road I'd definitely go. Call it the "Nine Inch Murphy Tour" or something. Just wonderful.
Bauhaus... awesome. Peter Murphy... one of the best voices out there. NIN... awesome! How could you go wrong with this combo? Especially the selection of covers done in this sitting... They sound fantastic & do great homage to the bands they covered, not to mention great new versions of some of their own tracks. How did those people get in there to see that!?!
This song remindes me of the early 90's when I used to go to WaxTrax records (Chicago) as a young teen. I think of Pankow when I hear this. Its funny Im still a big fan of Peter, Trent, and Pankow. How cool! Thanks for sharing!
I've never listened to Nine Inch Nails but I did not expect this to be such a great cover, this is fucking great, it's right up there with the original, now I've got to check these guys out, very great industrial sound
Lovely! This song scared and fascinated me when I first heard it (late 70s/early 80s, bless Dr. Demento). There was another one about car crashes - D.O.A.? - that scared me so bad I erased it from my little cassette recordings of favorite songs from the air.
When I first listened to this beautiful cover about 11 years ago, I confess, I did not expect much as I adored both of Daniel Miller's efforts. Let me say, whole-heartedly, this is at least as good (if not better). This is the first time I have ever uttered those words and probably will be the last.
Back in the day, my roommate owned a 50's jukebox. We had it in the living room and it was filled with singles from so many great musicians and groups. The original version of "Warm Leatherette" was my favorite single out of all 100+ A sides in that jukebox.
@@LeshaAnnare you wondering about the movie? the movie is weird for sure. a group of people that like getting injured. sorry I can't remember the name.
Atticus Ross never gets enough credit. Give a like for Atticus. 👍
Indeed!
Always👍
I gave Atticus credit by naming my 9 year old after him

One of those songs that once heard leaves a stain on your conciousness forever.
And the audience claps politely. WTF? I would have creamed my shorts to have been there for this. This is aural gold.
True but still...😂😂😂😂
I think the band members of The Normal would have creamed their pants hearing their music played back with that much punch.
@@MrCucamonga1 Member. Just one. From the wikipedia: "The Normal is the recording artist name used by English music producer Daniel Miller..."
This was my wife's favorite road trip song.
hang on to this cool-ass lady.

Minimoog magic. What a superb rendition.
There's nothing like great experimental music. I extremely envious of the people who got to see it live.
It's a cover song
Cosmic Debris Yeah but a great cover song. I like how they added all these new sounds to it. The original is literally the same beat and noise the entire song.

Always and always. The man is a genius. Long live Peter Murphy. 🖤👑

Impressed by your knowledge.
Factory Records was similar, although they just choose random numbers.
Thank you for informing the children!! 😂

You ought to go on Trent's Twitter page and pitch that to him. The Nine Inch Murphy tour, that's awesome LOL.
Saw The Normal supporting Stiff Little Fingers 1978 or so and 16 . Unforgettable both bands .
And first of all GREAT SONG!
I love this
A fantastic cover of "Mr Mute" David Miller's classic, by brilliant artists. Join the car crash set.......
