if you like tv on the radio at least a tiny little bit, then go to their concerts. then you actually realise, that, altough their studio albums are just amazing, in the end they're a live band. best concert I've ever been to, especially this song is like pure ecstasy, when played live :)
That's how I discovered them, they opened for Nine Inch Nails. Immediately a fan, and great energy on stage too. I remember everybody around me asking "who is this?" when they did this song. We all loved them.
I drove from several hours to see these guys live....one of the best show I've ever been to (up there with Clutch and Saul Williams) and I've been to a lot.
These people are brilliant. I am also pleased to see today's young black artists attaining a far more eclectic musical recognition, specifically outside the dominating world of RnB & Hip Hop.
Just watched the new chainsmokers video and he sounded like the backstreet boys yeah yeah crap line 12 year old vocals yeah yeah etc... Your comment was spot on-
Tun'de is singing about America. Those images of war, that's us boys and girls, he's singing about the dream that we project and perpetuate toward the world. And it's ending Peace to Gerald and David Bowie, we share your grieve And peace for America
First time I've seen the video, it makes me love the song even more. TVotR are so underrated, they are fucking fantastic and one of my favorite bands ever.
TV on the radio likes spontanious emotions and happyness... That's for the part with the dancing guy. When it comes for the "war"-part it kinda shows what our world is infected with - and that such positive emotions can't really exist where there is war.
My brother helped put this video together.. :) (he shot all the bird stuff.. he said he filmed birds for like 8 hours.. crazy.. lol.) And shot alot of the other stuff, lighting, etc..
One of the best festivals I ever went to was treasure island music festival in 2008 it was Justice, TV On The Radio, Hot Chip, Goldfrapp, CSS and a bunch of other bands…god those were the days
I couldn't agree more to this statement. Generally black artists have such rich beautiful voices and it's a shame they in my view they are wasted on such genres.
TVOTR is without doubt the greatest band out there right now. Not to mention, they sound like absolutely n o one else I can find. These guys are INCREDIBLE live, as well. If you get a chance to get tickets, see them. I dont' care how far away it is, it's a once in a lifetime show.
great band great music, and yes they have black members and they rock, shouldnt be a matter of discusion cause we all know that any kind of rock is based on blues and that!! These guys are here to remind us...and i might talk shit but for me apart from opera and classical music most of guitar and rythm music is coming from early black musicians.Word up!
No its not. Hell, Im black and im fucking ecstatic that theyre black. Gives me hope that future generations wont be a bunch of gun toting " music producers" and actually study music outside of The Chronic Album.
This song alone made me a TV on the Radio fan for life

The fact that, in over 8 years, this has received only 150k hits, is a reflection of the state of the world
Double that - what a beautifully simple sonic/visual - sweet/sour song ...
I just found it recently! Love it!
Just watched the new chainsmokers video and he sounded like the backstreet boys yeah yeah crap line 12 year old vocals yeah yeah etc... Your comment was spot on-
I hate to say this , but ahead of their time. So much modern music sounds like this today. Nothing else sounded like this in 2004
Love you guys! Nice to meet Tunde in Atlanta in the mind 2000's!
...one of the best bands to emerge in the 20-aughts!!!
No. It's mere recognition of talent.
I didn't even know who they were when I heard this slbum. And I didn't need to in order to love it.
TV on the Radio hittin the spot

Bless the old Ipod that kept this in my digital library for more than a decade. And to the band, the song, and the post(er), cheers. Crazy good tune.
They're so good! Each day I'm addicted to a different song by them...

All your dreams are over now
But your heart can't grieve
For your little dreams...
Love these guys....first saw them open up for nin
Honestly I don't think there is someone here who has listened to this more times than me. Not trying to challenge anyone just saying I love this song.
My brother helped put this video together.. :)
(he shot all the bird stuff.. he said he filmed birds for like 8 hours.. crazy.. lol.)
And shot alot of the other stuff, lighting, etc..
the version with peter murphy and trent reznor is amazing as well
Fuck Trent Reznor
I feel like this song is about a break up thats ugly and the animosity that's left behind.
Wow I sure love this band!
One of the best festivals I ever went to was treasure island music festival in 2008 it was Justice, TV On The Radio, Hot Chip, Goldfrapp, CSS and a bunch of other bands…god those were the days
Clutch, Saul Williams and TV on the Radio... Wow, what a bill.

the dirtbombs, good band
OMG I want that dudes afro !!! (I had to cut mine off :[) Love this band I was a instant fan when I saw the wolf like me video when it first came out.
I've listened to it more. like 20 times a day.
Worrying and Wondering...♥
if they do a show close enough to where I live I'll do the same thing, I want to see them sooo bad
Yes i think so.... its off their CD Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes.
You just broke the first rule of fight club.
and i agree with both of you :)
Agreed.
But you were my favorite moment
Of our dead century
So good
Kyp's a cutie
I LOVE THIS SHIT
Bastante Chingona!
Best songs my life forever dreams dr + ms.
Looks like hes doing Capoeira....=} Rip Gerard Smith.
i know it's cliche but this song would go so well with Evangelion, especially the movie...
1st rule of Project Mayhem.
Do not ask questions.
This shit's _Deep___
I'm actually jealous of that Kyp fellow; whenever I try to do a falsetto I crack myself up.
I agree with campbellshutup.
Fuck yes.
this song was made about his partner having a kid and it ruined his dreams
and the award for most random images put together to make a bad video for a great song goes to......
one of my favorites tvotr songs.

Amazing song. I think they tried to do too much with the video though. Or maybe I just don't "get" it.
Perfecta
:)
We're not supposed to talk about it. Its kind of a rule.
Anyone else want to 'like' this video but doesn't want to change the 666 amount?
Lol 😂
Ronald Farber: In the half a year that's passed since you left this comment, I became like #707.
@majordysfunkshun Second that!
@RebornYesikai think he is just going to the song.
idk i can grieve death cuz im not ready to die and most people arent so..
Is this the band version video?
that version is really GREAT! not directly for Murphy or Reznor's input... the TV on the Radio performance is really great in that "rehearsal".
Good for you. Want a cookie?
I supose "the little dream" is the american dream?

Coining everything as "gay" is just a shortcut to thinking.

race aside? why does that even matter?
