Spot on, this is the kind of demo and use, sound and feel. people want to see before dropping $180-250 on a keyboard, shy of having it in hand and ready to use for testing this is the best real test demo I've seen.
I hope the letting on the keycaps does not fade away as many users experienced faded keycaps after lots of use. The new textured tops seem like they will not leave fingerprint marks. I also hope cleaning it is relatively easy.
Thanks for the comparison. As for the rattle it's probably not a fair comparison since you are testing something five years old vs brand new. Unless you have a new G915 but I doubt that
Rattle is like that from new. I have a few month old non-X 915 full size and sounds exactly the same as the one in the video. There are many videos on removing rattle noise with layers of painters tape on the pcb.
Oh.. I was waiting for this update version and just purchased Keychron K5 Max yesterday. Didn't realize that X is an updated one. Your clip should pop to my feed earlier. T____T
they made some minor improvements, which is nice, but not worth spending another 300 dollars for. The old one still performs well, and is very durable.
i had the old g915 and now i got g515. G515 and G915 X are basically the same but g915 costs 100€ more and has volume wheel. Typing with g515 / g915 X is much better than old g915 (both tested with tactile switches). G515/G915X has more total travel than old G915 so its better for typing but actuation is tighter so also better for gaming.
I have the G515 and G915X in my house and I still don't know which one I'm going to stay. Could you give your opinion? I think the G915X is more beautiful and I'm tending to stick with it.
@@MrSoBraL87 I personally also feel like the G915X is more beautiful and I also had the same dilemma. I chose to keep the G915X because of the improved typing experience and quality. Is it somewhat a waste om money, sure, but i feel like it is worth it. It is just enough of an improvement over the G915 that I’m willing to take a loss. And I bougt a new G915 for just 6 months ago😪! Hope this was to some help😊
The biggest upgrade is the Logitech 915 X comes with PBT double shot keycaps unlike the OG version which came with ABS keycaps. Most people know PBT double shot keycaps feel and sound better when typing on them. Always aim for keyboards with PBT double shot keycaps.
Is it possible to create a macro and assign it to any key? The previous version of the keyboard and software only allowed macros to be assigned to a limited number of keys. The previous version did not allow all keys to be freely remapped.
damn 2 months ago bought g915 XD damn, i felt in bones they will release new soon... unlucky me ;( But I see despite usb-C (which is not making big deal, since this keyboard last for like 100h) there is no much diffrence (jiggle and key texture is no big deal for me)
The 'asus rog falchion rx low profile' is a better keyboard imo. Build, sound, typing, rgb, keycaps, keycap stability (zero rattle). It's 65% that might put some off. I cannot believe Logitech still don't have rgb for the special characters. Why is that a thing?
I got the G915 X TKL Brown Switches here, I like it but the only problem I have with it is that the letters are not visible when the RGB light is off on the black model.. It looks like on the white model that it is just visible. like the clean look of the white but got everything here in black on my setup, so don't know if it really worthy to return it and exchange it for the white model instead.
Hard to say! I first had the regular G915 in black before i got the white one. I changed it for somewhat the same reason and immidiatly noticed the difference. But when you're setup is black or darker in color it can be hard to choose. If you want to type without RGB lighting then the white one seems to be the best option because of the problem you statet with the black one with the lettering.
Have you ever compared these to to Cherry MX Browns by Corsair? Do you miss a palm rest? I'm considering switching out my old Corsair K70 RGB. Mainly looking to go quieter, wireless and multi-device, without sacrificing typing comfort and gaming performance. Thank you, great vid!
I haven't compared them to the Cherry MX Browns unfortunately so I can't really comment on difference in feel and quality. What I can say is that I don't miss the palm rest. The keyboard is low profile enough so that i use my mousepad as a palmrest. It could be an idea to get a palm rest, but it's not something I crave/miss. I also use the keyboard to pair with my Ipad and the multi-device connectivety is seemless and easy. It is also astronomically better to type on than the G915 and gaming works wonders as well.
I dont know for sure, but i don't think they fit on the keychron k3 max. They are however interchangable as long as the keycaps have cherry mx connectors if that make sense. So you can in theory take full size keycaps and put them on the g915x.
I have used it a while now and the battery seems to be somewhat the same or better. What I mean by that is that i havent really noticed any difference simpli y because the batterylife in the old one was so good. And the same applies in this one
@ If you could test the compatibility with PS5 that would be great. I am looking forward to purchase this keeb for my PC but if it is compatible with the PlayStation that would be the cherry on the cake :)
When reading the specs, the Logitech website seems to have difficulties in translating inches vs mm -> it specifies 368mm on the one hand for both models, yet when looking at inches, it specifies 15.2inch (G915X) vs 14.49inch (G915). And when looking at your video, it would seem that the G915X is even smaller than the G915. Now, what is the truth? :-)
In real life they are exactly the same dimensions in height, lenght and depth. At leas from what can be seen with the naked eye. The only thing to note is that the thinkness of the aluminium plate is slightly thiccer on the G915X and that the lettering of some of the keys are bigger than on the G915 (which might make it seems to be bigger). Other than that I do think that it is the camera work that makes them seem different sizes.
Unhelpful review. Impossible to get a good loook at the new keyboard due to the continual panning back and forth between the two which only made me dizzy.

Exactly the kind of comparison I was looking for, thank you!
This is the kind of comparison I appreciate 👏🏻
that shake test sold me. just got mine 2 days ago and loving it. feels so much more solid than the 915. really loving the feel of the new keycaps too.
You should full time/ side Chanel keyboard reviews. 😂 Someone here did a really good job and presenting what its like for the customer. Perfect.
I would love to! :D I can't say I have any experience with keyboard reviews, but maybe that is a good thing! It is kinda expencive tough
Finally, a comparison that's actually helpful.
For real 😂
This is the best video I have seen so far on this keyboard. Maybe even the best review of a product ever!
Wow, thanks!
Brilliant video. Cut to the chase and show us exactly what we need!
Thanks for the Video, the only Video which is neccessary for keyboard comparisons!
Glad it was helpful!
everyones gratefull for this review. You should do a more detailed version. Thank you so much.

The symbols are also light up now with the new one thats a good change
2:24 haha this sounds like a giant box of matches :D
True

Good video! Just got the 915X and living it so far. Feels well built and premium.
Honestly even tho your breathing was a bit loud sometimes, good vid!
Yeah! Sorry about that😅😂
@@pincer.official haha all good!
It was a good vid!
Yes!!! It's the video what I've wanted!
Glad I could help!
Only took until late 2024 to finally ditch micro USB for USB-C
Thanks bro. ♥
Its already better at it is not wobbling like old one lol ty for comparison!
excellent video

I have not tried that! Thats a really interesting question!

The wobble of the keys is one of the most annoying things about the non-X version but is It worth paying 250 euros to upgrade?
Not unless you're really specific about the details like I am :/ Maybe not even then. But it has been some weeks now and I don't regret keeping it
oh its the same keyboard with slightly new upgrade? thank u ill get the usb c one
Do the secondary symbols light up?
Yeah they do, but they are somewhat dim vompared to the main lettering. Still an upgrade from g915
