It's insane, dude!!! The whole video is incredible, the keyboard, the edit, the camera... The way you use the edit to make the keys been stroked, it's mindblowing and I'm still trying to figure it out
Quality video. The time it took to place and shoot every single key cap... Appreciate the effort in this! Fantastic keyboard! I usually find myself gravitating to quieter keyboards but the lubrication has made it just quiet enough, I could see myself using this. Other than the tall key caps(potential for wrist strain for me), I really like this one!
Im an OG programmer and techy, buy a nice UPS before anything else. Thats my tip on top of these other tips, we “live” at our workstations today and anything that increases productivity and comfortability is a plus. Make your setup a pleasant environment for your comfort. Build for “cozyness” and utilize these tips. Also, TRY chairs in person for 20-30 mins is the best tip he gave beyond the UPS. Incredibly reliable and well done video!! A++ 10/10
Looks daaaaaaymn good! Sound isn't horrible, but a bit clacky for my taste. I got the Q1 HE and the sound on this is pretty good, but I'd prefer a bit more silent one. Good thing with these mechanical keebs is that you can always tune them how ever you like. Great video man!
A keyboard that sounds like that would make me lose my goddamn mind (prefer silent) but absolutely floored by the time and dedication to the project! Props!
I'd love to have all the links but the main parts such as the switches and keycaps, are from a 2021 limited run so they aren't sold anymore... I have another video upgrading a $19 keyboard that's broader and applies to more people and different keyboard models, you can check that one out for ideas. That one is more like a tutorial, the parts in this video specifically is hard to replicate because the parts aren't sold anymore.
There's no secret or specific resource I can direct you to because I learned a bit from everywhere. I watch a lot of content, write down cool edits that grab my attention, and try to recreate it or get inspiration from that. The key is to learn the basics and know what tools are available in your editing app of choice (Premiere Pro in my case) and get creative with the tools available to you, with this knowledge, I reverse engineer cool shots I see in movies, animations, 3d renders, games, etc. Consuming good content gives me ideas for edits.
The dual OS support is also why I've been sticking w/ Keychron, even tho they're not the absolute best. It's not easy to get an 80% w/ dual wireless and dual OS support!
This was such an informative and well done video. I'm a Mac user and just getting in to the mechanical keyboard hobby. I see that the Pewter switches are sold out. If I like tactile switches, then which switches would you recommend other than MX Browns? It is also good to know that the mac Function key icon keycaps are hard to find with custom keycaps. I also love how you programmed the knob for the two different functions. I have a secondhand Keychron keyboard on the way with a programmable knob and I'm so excited for it.
It's hard to give a specific switch recommendation, the best I can suggest is for you to test some switches in person because this is a very subjective choice. Testing switches in local stores might be difficult as they won't typically have much variety outside of Cherry switches so as a starter, I'd recommend buying a good budget keyboard with tactile switches to have a reference point (Your keychron will work). Then you can use that to compare how other switches would feel like by watching youtube videos comparing your switch to something else. This isn't ideal but it's better than aimlessly watching comparisons without having something in hand to use as a reference, it's all about personal preference so just enjoy trying out switches haha. As a MacOS user I'd suggest you have a look at Nuphy or Keychron, they make pretty solid readily available in stock keyboards and make for a solid starting point. Nuphy's are very good and I think most people would be more than happy with them out of the box
Hi Shen, if you make a small GB for MacOS key caps, I certainly would like be a part of that. It is especially frustrating to find MacOS ISO function keys from any maker around. Good video as always!
i love the choice of switches, i have pewters in a personal 60% build, im trying to swap them into my keychron q1 but i cant find anywhere to buy the extra switches i need. Do you know of anyone still selling them? great video by the way
Maybe on a used keeb marketplace, they aren’t sold anymore, I personally bought enough for 2 TKLs because I knew it would be impossible to find more once the original stock was sold out 😅
It's pretty cool but I stopped using it because standby mode gets registered as screentime and I had 24h screen usage on my screen time when I left my phone as a clock haha
Absolute banger. From the keyboard to the set to the shots to the edit. Incredible work!

Glad you liked it! I'll send it to the Studio in the coming days! :)

What a fun video. Props for your mastery of lighting and exposure and CUT IT OUT with the match cut probe shots. 🤯 Insane work, man. Cheers
Thanks man! I love the probe lens haha, it’s hard to use because of how much light is required but the shots are 👌👌
Dude, everything in this video is high production quality. And the keyboard is illegally flawless! Crazy stuff!
The editing is top notch
Yo! This editing is SICK, I love your combination of subtle and fancy VFX. Really tasteful!

Unbelievable editing
Just found this channel and he just dropped another banger
That Keychron acoustic upgrade kit is definitely worth the price, nice to see the addition.
Last thing you need is a MKBHD custom key cap set. I bet that would be a good way to get the Mac keys and get it to go to market!
this channel has so much potential and you just upload videos every 452662 days
Just use GMK Relegendables for media and get a high quality matte vinyl insert. Would add little cost compared to all the other mods.
I could just listen to this keyboard sound forever
