Could you make a video to understand if i can install low profile switches on my Ergodox EZ shine. I don't like the brown tactile switch that came with it. I found over the time, I like the low profile key switches that come with Nuphy Air75.
The newer models of the aula f75 have corrected the i font and gasket feels uniform. It's a god tier keyboard for the price, puts many more expensive ones to shame.
I've had the F75 for some time and it's absolutely amazing, my favourite keyboard I have. I also own some premium keebs too, like a Keychron Q6 Pro, Q9, Q3 and a Q0, and the F75 is my favourite. I loved it so much that I got the F65 and today I ordered the F99. These keyboards are so good they have completely ruined my perception of budget.
My first mechanical keyboard was the infamous redragon k552, at that time i didn't know i was keyboard enthusiast until i moded that one... Then i really considered buying a true entry mechanical keyboard so i went to Aliexpress and found aula f75, k86, AK820, akko 5075b plus ( drac)... At first i thought k86 will be my best choice because of the pricing but the lack of reviews at that time let me stay away from it, so i got left with f75, AK820 and akko, AK820 was slightly cheaper and i actually decided to go for it so i waiter for the sale event... And that waiting was one of the best thing i did where i found akko 5075b plus at a price of 50$ which is basically like f75 at that time (screen version ) Never been happy and i really sniped a deal there , akko has some decent budget keyboards and switches...
I get why people say aluminum is premium but I actually prefer plastic keyboards and PC plates as they sound thockier. Aluminum keebs are super clacky initially until you get the right combination of keycaps, switches and other modifications. They are usually not worth the price point if you're looking for thock, when you can easily modify a cheaper plastic build to sound exactly how you want it.
This was my first "custom" mechanical board. I bought it because it sounds great stock and because I could mess around and learn about switches, caps and mods easily and inexpensively. It has been great as a beginner project. I've moved on to barebones kits and building my own now, but the Aula got me there. Highly recommended for people in similar situations.
I like your videos in general, but I feel like this is nit-picky. I feel as if you have too much skin in the game via affiliations or something. I've had this keyboard for a month or so and I can go point by point: no one is pressing on it that hard, the font is fine, the software isn't bad at all, and all the keys feel uniform and sound and feel nice to type on, who cares about a backplate, and lastly no one in the market for a $40-$80 keyboard is going to lose sleep on the fact that it's plastic vs aluminum. So many people buy it because it's priced great (got mine for $60 on amazon, and ppl in China get it for $40) and it sounds and feels awesome. I'm super surprised that the only gripe I had with the board you didn't mention at all, that it's quite hard to take apart the first time making the modding/customizing process a bit difficult.
When it comes to the font on keycaps, I find it attractive and very cool. The small imperfections actually make the keyboard stand out from the crowd. Ultimately, it comes down to personal taste.
My favorite keyboard under $80 is by far the TECWARE Phantom+ Elite 87 Key Pink Switch. It's on Amazon at the moment for $68. Incredible build quality for the money. Sounds great too. thank you for the recommendation last year by the way. :)
I reviewed this about 7 months ago, written, and I was very impressed. For list though I would spend more and get an AL board but you can't often find this about $60 or some variant of and to me it's a great keyboard that will last for years for not a lot of $$$ at that price! Very thorough review as always Betty! So glad you guys are back!
I have the AULA F99 with Leobog Greywood switches, and I love the sound and feel. But after watching this video, I'm considering getting the Reaper switches to try out 😊
I'm receiving mine next week, F99 with Graywood V3s as well. I love how they sound in all the sound tests on UA-cam. Reapers are creamier and sound great but Graywoods are a perfect combination of both Thocky and with a hint of Creamy. I've seen plenty of vids on these boards (F75, F99, ect.) and I always prefer the Graywood sound.
Hey, i think it's worth checking out their M75 variant. As far as I can see, it's the F75 but with full metal chassis and weighted, south facing led, flexcut PCB and all that. Mine really surprised me and I don't think I'll need a new one
On my model aula f75 the volumn knob was set to volume, the LEDs face north and the box was radically different. Edit: also mine doesn't flex unevenly like that or even flex much at all really. Kind of seems like the newer version of the board is a downgrade?
I just bought this keyboard this morning! Prime day had it 20 dollars cheaper plus a 5 dollar coupon, I really wanted the rainy 75 pro but I couldn’t see myself spending almost double the price for my first keyboard
Hiii i love your videos I want your opinion I have my own keycaps and my fav switches What should i buy ajazz ak 820 pro or aula 75 (Ill mod both anyway)
A lot of criticism for the sake of criticism in this review. I got one of these and trust me since you don't type like an 80 year old who saw a keyboard first time in their life, you don't press the keys so hard that you actually flex the board when you are typing. Not even close. And I am telling you as a man whose hands are bigger and fingers are heavier. And while legends aren't "perfect", little quirks don't necessarily bother and in fact since they aren't exactly same on all boards, it makes yours kind of "unique".
I think she was pretty fair. Ponting out flaws isn't just criticism for the sake of criticism, it's a review, she's supposed to nitpick. She never said any of the flaws were deal breakers, only small issues. She even said it's a great keyboard to start with. The keyboard's fine as is, if you enjoy it, that's all that matters.
this is a 12 minute review of a mechanical keyboard on youtube... people watching this are not your normal users and do care about these sorts of fit and finish things... I have a few mechanical keyboards and have thought about building my own from scratch just starting with a printed PCB and a soldering iron.... the people that subscribe to this channel very much want this info.
I own both the Aula F75 (my all-time favorite keyboard) with ice vein switches and the F99 with the Graywood switches. I have several, more expensive, keyboards (upwards of $250), and these have been my daily use keyboards for two months now.
yeah i got the F75 keyboard. My wired keyboard just went crazy and i needed a new one fast. The local shop stocked this and a few other by Aufa. Got the F75 as it met all my requirement at a good price.
I was in the market for a decent budget 75% keeb and I was weighing up between this and the Akko 5075B Plus and I ended up settling on the Akko because it had an option of tactile switches (the V3 Cream Blue Pro's). Wondering if I made the right decision.
I have the F99 version in the same colourway as I need my Numpad. It's a good budget keyboard for people like me who just want a nice typing experience (feel and sound) out of the box and who can't be bothered to open it up to mod the innards. However, similar to quite a few other brands of pre-built budget keyboards, they only come with linear switch choices. So I knew before getting it that I was going to change to tactile switches. I gave the Reaper switches a go, and they are nice and smooth, but I really need the tactile bump for typing. The keycaps in my F99 didn't have the strange fonts you mentioned so they looked respectable, though not the best. Eventually I changed to shine through keycaps as I sometimes type in the dark. I confirm that some of the switches along the edges get pulled out along with the keycaps, but it's not a big deal unless you change keycaps often. My main complaint is the location of the Page up and Page down keys which are in the top right corner. I miss having them close to the arrow keys like in 100% size keyboards, as navigation is a little inconvenient. I have just discovered that the Leobog Hi98 has the navigation key layout I want and it's aluminium too. Annoyingly it comes with linear switches only. Am holding off on getting it. It's a waste to buy prebuilt and get linear switches that I never use. Looking to get a barebones 1800 kit with the layout , specs and price that I want. There are fewer choices than for smaller size formats, but I can be patient. Things move fast in the mechanical keyboard industry.
That's the reason I went with the Akko 5075B Plus since it had a choice of tactile switches (Akko V3 Cream Blue Pro) It sounds alright stock, much better than previous stock boards I've had. With my Epomaker SK61 I opened it up and did a few mods since it was relatively easy to get inside but from all the tear downs I've seen on UA-cam the gasket mount 75%'s like the F75 or 5075b they're very difficult to get inside because there are no screws and you need to pry it open and I really don't fancy damaging my new keyboard.
@@iitzfizz I did get the Akko V3 Cream Blue tactiles for my F99. Unfortunately, now that I know more about where I want the Page Up and Down keys in my 1800-form keyboards, I have to say that Akko's 1800 layout doesn't cut it for me. There is a plastic case barebones kit that satisfies my criteria, but I'm waiting until the new year to see if a similar product in aluminium is released.
That's the board I buy for my colleagues. It's cheap-ish, has optimal layout, sounds great. And yes, I wish it would be aluminum case, screw-in stabs... but for the price it's the superior choice.
Aula F75 is the budget king. I have it and it's the best bang for your buck keyboard out there. I've had more expensive boards that's less impressive. I guess the best thing about it is, it's just too good for the price. There are better boards out there but more premium on the money.
I'm typing on one right now lol I've built keyboards and used hundreds over the years and I will say this: the F75 pro is one of my favorite pre built keyboards currently. If you just don't want to mod a board yourself, it really is a great choice.
I've been using this keyboard for a couple of months now because I realised I was missing having a number row for work (I was using a 60% Keychron), and I pretty much agree with everything in this review, though I can't say I found the uneven flex to be noticeable when typing. I'm sure if you're working with different keyboards day in, day out, it's a different matter though.
F75 is more charming in person. This is one of those products that once you've bought it, you want other people to get it as well, hence the unbelievable amount of good reviews. It's that good at least for beginners and non hobbyists according to the popular ytbers. I've bought this myself in icevein and has since bought other keebs. You just cant help but fall in love with it. It's hard to hate specially since the normal price for this in asia is less than $40 and does more than what other premium keyboards do. It's good enough for gaming and makes you enjoy writing your essays while typing. Im not sure about the issues on the legends but I dont have it with mine. The hotspotty flexing is also not a dealbreaker and could be an advantge depending on how you type. I mostly use this with my tablets so I didnt have to deal with the support software issue but it would be nice to have. If youre willing to hold out a bit more to get alluminum casing it wont be a bad choice either. But if you're not a serious hobbyist and just want a good sounding keyboard with premium typing experience out of the box, maybe just swap out the keys for a different look, you wont regret your purchase.
I dont have any issue with this keyboard. And what funy is I bought Aula F75 on Aliexpress for 54$ with shiping. Its have diferent legends on back (because is in diferent language). Apart from that, everything works impressively for the money
@@SwitchandClickOfficial yea was during the Eurocup stuff alie sponsored. Got lucky with coupons and store credit. Literally got a set of keycaps for €0,01
Or go to the store and try it yourself on how it feels, for me plastic frames doesn't mean to me as long as it performs the same as a $100-200 keyboard. Ive used using cheap keyboards like A4tech that cost $6 if you have that in your country. But the AULA F75 is for people who doesn't want to break their bank. Also I am using RK84 it is also plastic but its with me for almost a year and doesn't encounter any problems. The product speaks for itself that is popular because it offers more than the mainstream one, plus its cheap. Id rather had more reviews to that product than buying something expensive and I'm not satisfied with.
I just ordered the one seen on screen. It should come in tomorrow I'll keep anyone interested if i enjoy it. Disclaimer this will be my first mechanical keyboard so i only have my cheap membrane keyboard to compare 😂
Check out the Ajazz AK820 series too, its the direct competitor to this one. The normal version is 20$ cheaper than the F75 and has a few benefits over the F75 as well. I'd say its the better one of these two (imo).
just received a wired only RK R75, which looks almost identical, saw the thumbnail and had a mini heart attack thinking "i just bought a bad keyboard overall, didn't I"
@@aihrarshaikh8975 48 hours with it and i like it so far. My only problem with it is the non-existent software support for the Spanish layout on mine. Would still buy another R.K. bc why not
I would be so mad if i upgraded my 65 to find out this volume knob is nothing but an elaborate ruse. God forbid it ruin my faith in the ability of Chinese corporations to perform satisfactory quality control.
Either Aula stole their look from McChose or Mcchose stole their layout from Aula because MCCHOSE K99 looks exactly like this one, even the colors are similar but no one ever talks about Mcchose which is an awesome brand. their keyboards are creamy af without mods and budget.
Spending 20 bucks more buys you an aluminum case keyboard. If you only go for the cheaper plastic one because it is cheaper (and not because it is lighter or because it can sound more thocky after modding) than I fail to understand. A mechanical keyboard lasts a very long time, so why skimp on 20 bucks when it can buy you something nicer? People are willing to spend more than a thousand bucks for te latest iPhone every one to two years, but think that a 100 dollar keyboard is a rip-off?
@@nout1972These are identical to Aula except alu frame. Aula can be found on discounts as low as 30$ (i bought mine for 29$ to be precise), so comparing 30-40$ keeb to exact same keeb, just with alu frame costing 2.5x higher is funny.
Plastic keyboard just sound better. There’s a reason those old mechanical keyboards still sound the best. Why is aluminium etc the hype nowadays? It only makes it sound more shrill. I wish they made more spacious plastic keyboard like they used to that worked like an amplifier soundboard. Aluminium is also less durable and damages easily.
Not just that but more heavy too! When I got my first plastic body mechanical keyboard I really didn’t realize how heavy it actually still was. It’s pretty surprising.
I only like 100% or bigger keyboards , I use numpads for macros and shortcuts. (I am looking for 100% preferably white keyboard for 60ish euro or less on amazon de if anyone can give recomandations)
Ive alw wondered if it was plastic. At first I thought no way nobody would buy it if its only cheap plastic. But then the more often I saw it in videos which funnily never said of which materials it was, the more I thought "wow this looks hella cheap". But then again most people are just cheap in general, so Im not toooo surprised a plastic keyboard does well. Still questionable since there are other options barely more expensive which arent plastic
as much as I want to buy this Im hesitant because of the colors. I dont want spend additional money to buy a plain uniform white keys... Y THEY DO THIS T_T
Such a superflex board that just flexes like a net would drive me crazy. Hard pass for me, even though the keyboard looks decent and sounds great for a fantastic price.

I bought this for $50. It’s a very good keyboard. btw Ice Vain switch is my favorite. its creamy ❤!
been using this keyboard for 4 months now.
bought it for 48 usd a great deal for me
Ok but where we can buy the bridge75?
divinikey, and a bunch of other resellers
My first and the last mechanical keyboard. Can’t ask for more it sounds and feels great to type on.
Check out the Mchose G75. Just as good as the Aula F75 if not better, cheaper, and has DOUBLE the battery capacity. I love it so much.
5:38 my Ayla f75 does not have this issue, all font are even. Strange
got the aula f99. Got it for 30 bucks......due to crazy alie discounts. Great board for that price. I need numpad
alright $30 is insane
@@SwitchandClickOfficial yea was during the Eurocup stuff alie sponsored. Got lucky with coupons and store credit.
Literally got a set of keycaps for €0,01
6:24 Filipinos: 💀
A cheap keyboard i use and it has been doing well since i bought it a year ago is the IROK FE87/104 RGB Mechanical Keyboard
Please do a review of leobog Hi75
wow finally, Aula F75 review here after one in Hipyo's channel 😅
An aluminium case keyboard at around that price is the Gamakey TK75 PRO
The batch it reapers I got earlier this year are quite scratchy
My Ajazz A820 cost me $54 and the font on the key caps is the same on each key cap, so it's possible even on a cheap keyboard.
honestly, nowadays you can expect better quality for 80 bucks. I mean it is budget, but not cheap. I'd save a little bit more to get an aluminum case
bought for about $37, worth every penny, and made me addicted to typeracer again
It's funny how they sell it for 80$ but in most stores I've looked it costs around 40$. Living in asia closer to China makes them cheaper it seems
The real reason why I swap this to Bridge75 .. x'D The Inconsistency is just gets under my skin like you said .. x'D
finally, someone else who understands
I nabbed one for $40 from TT and I love it.
Is fn key of this keyboard remappable??
mine is arriving today lmao
The regular, non-Epomaker version is $25 on Temu.
I'd say its the better one of these two (imo).
i have the ak820max and i love it
I got the ajazz ak820, great for the price and cheaper than the pro, especially if you don't need wireless connectivity or the tiny screen it has.
I have a F65 and my wife has the F75
This board often gets discounted at amazon, so maybe that's why so many people end up buying it :->
just received a wired only RK R75, which looks almost identical, saw the thumbnail and had a mini heart attack thinking "i just bought a bad keyboard overall, didn't I"
I got the R75 too been using it past 3 months, very much satisfied tbh, just ordered some shine through keycaps cause I like them more
@@aihrarshaikh8975 48 hours with it and i like it so far. My only problem with it is the non-existent software support for the Spanish layout on mine. Would still buy another R.K. bc why not
TIL the dust cover is not just for packaging
"Yeah definitely I can feel the nice backplate 🗿🗿"
SUMMARY
Aula F75: amazing keyboard for 50$
Rainy75: amazing keyboard for 100$
I would be so mad if i upgraded my 65 to find out this volume knob is nothing but an elaborate ruse.
You can get this keyboard for as low as $36.5 ($32 when it's on sale) here in the Philippines if I directly convert our currency. lol
BS, name a board that has all these features plus alu case for less than 100 bucks
@@hoppyt3ch Epomaker P75 and Epomaker Galaxy 70. Both sold at Amazon
@@hoppyt3ch Epomaker P75 and Epomaker Galaxy 70
@@nout1972 That's fair. You can get free shipping with Epomaker with some retailers so indeed those are 20 bucks more expensive but have alu case.
I have Aula F99 and Rainy75. I'm happy, im content. I dont need anything else xD
47 seconds ago? sick as. prob a great video. we will see!
I only like 100% or bigger keyboards , I use numpads for macros and shortcuts. (I am looking for 100% preferably white keyboard for 60ish euro or less on amazon de if anyone can give recomandations)
u have to try redragon cyrus pro
Ive alw wondered if it was plastic. At first I thought no way nobody would buy it if its only cheap plastic. But then the more often I saw it in videos which funnily never said of which materials it was, the more I thought "wow this looks hella cheap". But then again most people are just cheap in general, so Im not toooo surprised a plastic keyboard does well. Still questionable since there are other options barely more expensive which arent plastic
Was 20 dollar in temu from official store its very good
God bless "dongle holders."
as much as I want to buy this Im hesitant because of the colors. I dont want spend additional money to buy a plain uniform white keys... Y THEY DO THIS T_T
Dawg I was the 12th person to buy this, I remember spamming all the keyboard yters to test it but no one listened :(
how can i know that this keeb that review by your own thought and you alone are not sent by AI
Bought it already🎉
I have one and I love it lol!
its about 40$ in my country
Such a superflex board that just flexes like a net would drive me crazy. Hard pass for me, even though the keyboard looks decent and sounds great for a fantastic price.
Make a video on the most hated keyboard
what keyboard is that
AULA F75 vs Leobog Hi 75
It’s 80$ now??
Which is way too high for what it is. The Yunzii clone can be had for half of that and it's the same exact thing.
Actually, it sales for whole month on Temu for 29$ directly from Aula store and it is still available in this specific color option, others are sold.
I bought this with only 30$
