Even if you click the scroll wheel, you’d still need to use up and down wrist movement for it to actually scroll infinitely, which still stresses the wrist at some point, unlike having your actual mouse scroll to infinitely scroll, no wrist movement is required but only the fingers.
8:45 For UPS, you only really need one with about an hour of storage unless you plan on plugging a lot of stuff into it. The goal *should be* "alright, powers out, let's just close down the PC safely" and NOT "let's squeeze out some more time on the PC".
I got a cool looking leather office chair 4 years ago for my desk, and within a year I developed some serious neck and back pain, exercise helped me overcome that thankfully. Sent that to my sisters house for her visitors and customers and half of its leather has basically come off. 2 years ago I purchased a more ergonomic focused chair and I love it so much. No problems aside from light neck pain every now and then from a low monitor position, and a lot of leaning forward while standing, but a monitor stand completely alleviated that first issue and saved up a lot of desk space for studying. I cant vouch for anything else but man this was money more than well spent.
I like that you focused on the ergonomics of a setup instead of the look of a setup. While having a super clean and aesthetician setup can be great, it's not as great as a comfortable setup. Keep up the good work.

For the scroll wheel, do people know that if you click down on the mouse wheel and then pull your mouse up or down a little bit it will do the infinite scroll just like you’re mentioning? I like the idea of having it a function of the wheel itself, but it also seems unnecessary, since that function is already present.

Really nice suggestions, with backup options for those on a tight budget. Having a UPS is huge -- a nice addition to your list! Having enough UPSes for your computer, monitors, and cable modem/router make a huge difference if one ever has brief power outages.
Awesome video, fantastic editting, and great tips!!! The desk depth is such a huge thing no one really talks about. As a gamer, hobbyist, university student, and artist, I use my desk for everything from notetaking to painting and it became a priority for me that I can have a versatile workspace and keep to my aesthetics. I will be making a few additions based on this video, and I look forward to seeing other videos you make in the future!
Amazing tips! About ergonomics, if you can't have a stand desk, to set the perfect height, I'd just add a foot-rest! They are cheap and make a huge difference to be comfortable.
A big tip for me personally, but just disregard any ergonomic chair that does not include a head rest. Those make the tilting backrest pointless because you wont have anywhere to rest your head while hanging back. Another big one for me although not as critical as the headrest, get a chair that pivots around the entire seat when tilting back, some will only tilt with no seat adjustment and it ends up being very uncomfortable.
Some great ideas on here. I'm getting that uninterrupted power supply, and I pushed my monitor further back on my desk. Time to start utilizing more of this real estate.
a glass filled to about 20%-25% with 8 parts water, 2 parts apple cider vinegar and a dash of dish soap. this should help you with the insect problem. adjust the amount of vinegar if needed, just be careful where you place the glass if the smell becomes to strong.
bro you've got amazing video editing, presentation, and content delivery skills. And the upgrades you mention significantly increase our productivity, usage experience, and maintainabilty. Though these things are too expensive for me currently. But I will surely consider them when I build my setup.
Hi thanks for the ideas. Regarding the insect issues, you can try bug eating plants in your room, they can only have distilled water (rain water) and with the right amount you may be able to control the number of insects getting trapped on the screen lights
I think everything in this video is valid except the first 2 because it fits but it might not fit for others: the infinite scroll wheel is really good for what you use it for, if someone uses it to switch between stuff like in games inventory slots. And the thing with the nous rest is that you use claw grip but a lot of people hold the mouse in their palm and the wrist rest might not be the same shape as the back of the mouse so it might not be close enough. This video was otherwise really helpful and well edited, I loved it❤
