Idk who Andy is but it was very obvious he is the mentor, guide, and confidence builder in the other basejumpers. Cool to see someone instill confidence in others like that.
OMG I did not know this was possible. To run a zipline over 2000 feet. Absolutely amazing. To know that you people exist, is so inspiring! The pure joy...of flying, and the precision and integrity used to create this installation, brilliant.
Seriously! I am not in this sport, didn’t know if this channel three months ago and it looks epic! Just learning about Andy from videos on here and the dude is living it. Cheers!
I’ve built some epic zip lines in the past, but without hesitation I would say that you guys have created the worlds most spectacular line of all time. I don’t know if anyone keeps records on the longest or highest line ever built but I’d bet it doesn’t come close to yours. I’m curious if you did any research or tests on riding the line all the way down and maybe using a modified parachute as a brake to control the descent speed on the line and as a safety if you left the line or it parted at some point? I know the safety concerns would be astronomical the closer the rider got to the ground. Still, on the principle that you never go 1st, a video of a weighted gear bag and drogue chute riding the line would have been awesome to see.
i know here in my country in wales / Uk we have Velocity 2 its 1.5 kilometre zip line where you hit over 100mph on a decline of 20 degrees think its the worlds fastest zipline and think there is 1 or 2 longer one somewhere but not as fast
I was really hyped to watch this show...First episode was kind of a bummer with all the fast cutting montages but I'm guessing the second episode will start showing more stuff going on...I like how they're already building the drama with the "rig master" Ryan bitching lol..That was great.
You can tell this when you compare his landings with spencers one. Andy is an experienced paraglider whilst spencer seems to have skipped that part, but i really do appreciate andys attitude and vibe towards the sport!
At 11:38 the rope touches the edge. One guy even says "Oh f*ck, [it] touched..." :-O Should have protected the edge *before* it touched for the first time, I guess.
I'd most likely be too scared tio try this too, however... I feel like I would be 10 times more likely to try this than the rope jumps you do from the high lines. That just looks terrifying, this at least looks like a blast, and something that I could probably be talked into.
Did you find a benefit to having the handle so far below the pulley? Wondering if that made for more of a shock when dropping off the rock? I used to rig ziplines across rivers and flip off into the water, obviously not the same as this epicness!
11:50 That is sketch af, I wanna see how much force is applied on the grip of the hands at the start of the zip. That slips and no parachute if going to stop the rocks from scratching your last itch.
These are the best double pulleys I use www.extremegear.org/shop/p/3-double-prusik-minding-pulley-pmp-smc?rq=pulleys. They don't make the ones i have in this video anymore. You can see me use them in this ua-cam.com/video/7YQJO7A93KE/v-deo.html
Do you know by chance where to watch the show in Italy? Legally I mean, if I have to jump through hoops with a VPN I'll just pirate it cause it's faster
You have to hold on or you die? Did I miss any safety backup, especially when you hang from one hand and you the other to pull the parachute? Thank you so much, this was an incredible episode!
Well you don't really die as long as the chute is good. If you hold on to the end of the zipline you die anyway, so the last thing you want is something that might cause you to be stuck to the line. Clearly everyone doing this has exceptionally good upper body strength.
No no, you die if you don't let go in time. You're building up massive speed and hurtling towards rocks, and need to let go and use the parachute to slow down or you'll hit the rocks and slow down very quickly

I rate this video 2.7 nopes per minute, peaking at about 5npm there near the end.

I remember seeing 'top 10 sketchy andy landings' years ago....super happy he's still with us.
Love your collabs with sketchy Andy! Great episode!

Don’t mind me commenting on a year old video…hearing the chutes pop in that canyon…so rad!
I love the whip and deployment snap as they leave

Sketchy andy stays true to his name!
And it seems more and more to me that he just really knows what he is doing...hmm..

It's so cool seeing people use the Rocky-Talkie. Definitely picking one up when they drop the price.
Some of the camera shots were absolutely incredible! This deserves to be one of your most viewed videos.
I watch absurd amounts of UA-cam
This is truly one of the very best videos I have ever seen!!!
Awesome video.looks super fun..as a pilot who flys threw canyons, maybe put some bright ribbons or flags on the line to help make it visible?
So exciting to watch you guys do this. I literally got goosebumps when you start down that line.
This was so much fun, I would totally want to hang out with everyone there.
AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING VIDEO!

Love all the banter, there were some ZINGERS in there lol.
This was a fantastic episode! I would like to see more base jumping projects for sure!

Gotta love Sketchy Andy!
Probably the sickest thing I've ever seen!
But what about the girlfriends not all getting to say goodbye before this stunt! 😩 🤣 Awesome work by everyone 👍
Best channel on UA-cam
The fact that this only has 50k views is insane…!
Andy is one of my heros ..dudes a legend
WOW... Andy's gainers... my jaw hit the floor.... RESPECT!
Andy is so freaking scary and awesome
Ryan, your video is way better than the Discovery episode.
This might have just finally inspired me to go and get my skydiving license
Did you find a benefit to having the handle so far below the pulley? Wondering if that made for more of a shock when dropping off the rock? I used to rig ziplines across rivers and flip off into the water, obviously not the same as this epicness!
Bad ass, boys and girl
That a really sweet spot, lol. Cool stuff. Congrats on the show. Keep up the good stuff.
wallmart has just started selling climbing stuff. Want to break some of their carabiners?
Such a good episode! So much fun
This is awesome!
11:50 That is sketch af, I wanna see how much force is applied on the grip of the hands at the start of the zip. That slips and no parachute if going to stop the rocks from scratching your last itch.
Not that much considering Ryan was able to hold on while rope swinging in one of his older videos
Andys double gainer! Insane!!!
OK now that's scary.
Nuts. But cool AF.
That's absolutely insane
7:28 yo momma joke
Nice! Super cool enough 😬
Is that a harken wingman?
This is awesome,
Watching this at work and showing my coworker Andy's low opening - 10/10 reaction. Someone tell Andy to tag his NSFW 🤣🤘
Holy shit. I gotta take a trip out to see these guys. I'm SUPER DOWN!!
After watching several skydiving malfunction videos and seeing Andy's stoke I'm ready to jump off of stuff
Goddamn that was cool
That new outro 👌
Where did you get that pulley system???I can’t find one like it. Looks awesome
Did Andy ever find Daniel??? They never mentioned him after he lost him in the first episode
How did you mitigate the heat on Amsteel?
16:29 rolly things.
@@juleswernes don't get all technical!
Those do still heat up though. Amsteel melts just over 200⁰.
@@jarodlojeck5150 They heat up from rolling? The heat is only at a particular point of the cord for a split second before moving on
@@eyescreamcake The wheel can also heat up. Same reason you don't slide fast on a hangover.
These are the people I should be hanging out with
👍👍
"Highly Recommended!!" 😂
I've seen you guys do a lot of cool shit but this is insanely epic! Rad!!!
Is that the paraglider Ari?
I've never had so much fucking adrenaline while sitting in this chair, and this chair as seen some shit....
How long does it actually take Andy to pack a rig when he’s in a hurry?
Please nobody answer 😅
@@greenveg42
Come to think of it, you’re right. I don’t want to know!
I love this!!!
Seriously EPIC, this would look sick filmed by Devin Graham (devinsupertramp). You guys should totally collab!
I dare you to UA-cam
' Big Tree Climbing In Australia '
Do you know by chance where to watch the show in Italy? Legally I mean, if I have to jump through hoops with a VPN I'll just pirate it cause it's faster
F**k, I'm jealous 😲
I only see two videos about “pushing the line”… are there more?
Wow.
Can I just sell everything I own and go mentor Andy?
Is there no way to just use a simple aluminum cylinder?
You have to hold on or you die? Did I miss any safety backup, especially when you hang from one hand and you the other to pull the parachute? Thank you so much, this was an incredible episode!

I think that's what the parachute is for?
Well yeah for one second...
Also these kinds people are usually climbers and could probably hold on ten times longer than they need to.
No no, you die if you don't let go in time. You're building up massive speed and hurtling towards rocks, and need to let go and use the parachute to slow down or you'll hit the rocks and slow down very quickly
what's the knot @4:48?
Y’all need a friend with a helicopter.
well... now i want to start base jumping...
Try this one I packed it myself
I certainly did not notice any cheesy product placement in this video ;)
why you didn't jump? you said you couldn't..?
Probably needs lots of training and experience first
Because he’s not stupid
All those people die
Sketchy AF
try making a zipline that you stay on.
You people just cant stop saying the LORD GOD ALMIGHTYS name in Vain, talk about the weakness of the flesh.
Yahweh?
