this one is a real gem. so unique the terrain and crack techniques that it covers. even though it's classed as a finger crack, the first move is actually an offwidthing one, haha!!
So good. Had to keep looking at the cams hanging from the harness in that last section to really get an idea of how steep it is. Brutal. Mason is such a legend for these lines! PS: Pete is obviously a Toyota diesel. Not built for speed, but good luck ever stopping it.
Saw your guys bridge crack film at a film festival and it was definitely the most interesting and engaging film in the fest. Super stoked to find you have a UA-cam channel. Genuinely some great content and I don't even climb.
Not only do I really enjoy watching you two guys together but the editing for your videos is really nice aswell and the song selection.... my god the song selection! Thank you for showing me Will Harrison - Biscuits and Gravy & Rikard From - I'll Tell You Like It Is! This just made my week!
Always looking forward to a proper video from you guys. Always impressed with the climbing, and keeps me laughing while sitting here really impressed. Nice work. Can’t wait for another video of you and Tom here in the states.
Intensely good stuff. Really tasteful music snippets as well... & lack of music, as circumstances dictate. Smashingly good effort on every level. Cheers!
If you put a clip on the harness like an inside out wiregate carabiner, so the draw can be pulled out but doesn't just fall from its own weight, this quick draw thing might work.
that looks amazing! I'm back from a big climbing break but now I started again and plan is to get into crack climbing! thx guys for getting me stoked again
I absolutely love the directions you guys have taken with the music. The piano soundtrack fits tremendously well and is a breath of fresh air compared to the big loud upbeat music we usually find in climbing content.
How the hell is that a real thing? Stupendous, flabbergasting, baffling, gorgeous, inspiring, and all the other adjectives out there - and even a few I might make up. Might be the most wild single pitch climb I have ever seen.
Re the quick draw: About 40 years ago I would sort all the pro I was going to need for the redpoint, and attach them to draws clipped into my rope in order, then clip the other biner on the side of my body corresponding to the hand I would use to insert them into the slot/crack: This way there is only a single motion to unclip the outermost biner, with attached cam/nut and slot that into the crack. The same idea also works when climbing on fixed bolts which have no draws on them, the main problem is usually just reaching the bolt hanger.
@@WideBoyz You could embrace your 'inner Czech' and go with a carpet slipper on that foot - or maybe both feet? Got them up some pretty hard routes! [I realize that you already know this!]
A couple weeks ago I went bouldering in a gym for the first time ever. It quickly exposed a huge problem for me: I am pretty out of shape for climbing. I got so pumped so fast and couldn't do a whole lot that day. Can you recommend maybe a couple little exercises I can do at home just to get the arm and core strength I need to climb? Maybe some push-ups, crunches, and squats?
hell yeah guys. love to see it
such a cool line Mason, thanks for putting this one up :D
Legend!!
Hell yeah Mason!
Glad to hear from you brother !
Hope you’re keeping well Mason.
mari: 'since when do you warmup'
pete: 'since I realized I was old'
As a 37 year old... I feel that
Let me know how you go in ten years …….🧗🏻♂️🥵. By the time I’ve warmed up, I’m knackered 😅
Mmmm, I'm only 27 and can't climb hard without 20 to 30min of warmup. I hope it stays at this portion of time.
Always awesome seeing Masons projects getting attention. He is such an inspiring person and his projects are all incredible. One of the greats.

thanks! should have a better angle showing the top crack in the next vlog :)
Specifically a 1988 Toyota Hilux (like the one that Top Gear tried and failed to kill - it just kept coming back for more punishment).
Proper job. Love these videos of Tom and Pete working routes. The climbing and banter are A+.
great to hear, thanks!!
Music is perfect ❤
Feels like it's been a while since we got a classic Pete & Tom hard crack project. Love to see it
So good !
I loved the piano track. And the uncut climbing plus Pete commentary above is idéal to really get a grasp of what it is to climb this route.
That was class. The try hard in you blows my mind. So close and on the 1st rp too. Awesome effort 👌
So much tension watching the end there! Great to see the two of you on some hard climbs together again as well!
10:26 I don't think I've ever heard Pete power scream before... what a treat!
Saw your guys bridge crack film at a film festival and it was definitely the most interesting and engaging film in the fest. Super stoked to find you have a UA-cam channel. Genuinely some great content and I don't even climb.
Congrats Pete on getting this one done, and to Lor, too! What a worthy line!
That top section just seems to go on forever! Brilliant effort and looking forward to what comes next
Did Mari flash it?!
The best content you can give us !!! Hard Outdoor climbing ... Loving every Second of it ❤
Stunning. So wonderful to see Mason’s crack projects getting such good attention. Congrats Lor. Good luck Tom and Pete.
Awesome, I've never seen a taped foot before!

Thank you for showing me Will Harrison - Biscuits and Gravy & Rikard From - I'll Tell You Like It Is!
This just made my week!
So classic, love seeing both wide boys back in the states together again like ole times
Pete, I'm always relieved when I see you safe at the end. ❤
Always looking forward to a proper video from you guys. Always impressed with the climbing, and keeps me laughing while sitting here really impressed. Nice work. Can’t wait for another video of you and Tom here in the states.
Such a pleasure to see the process of you guys projecting!!! Soooo strong!!
I will indeed keep watchin, Pete
Keep up the hard work guys, y'all are so motivating
Thank you for the music selection
Love the vibes of this video. Amazing
Proper quality video lads. We're all loving it 👍
At 06:00 ish that looks like a Wild Country Xenon biner... FOOKIN LURVE THOSE THANGS!!!
Nice climb and nice video. Thanks from Germany and good luck in your further projecting days!
Number of strokes and number of cylinder are not the same Tom !
Intensely good stuff. Really tasteful music snippets as well... & lack of music, as circumstances dictate. Smashingly good effort on every level. Cheers!
I love the quick draw! :D I hope the concept makes it to Toms ascent!
hoping Tom puts all the cams on his harness like this for his first redpoint, haha
If you put a clip on the harness like an inside out wiregate carabiner, so the draw can be pulled out but doesn't just fall from its own weight, this quick draw thing might work.
“Vaguely dynamic” Pete you’re mad man. Got to love it 💪
Bloody good effort Pete
Gotta love mason’s style. No rubber gloves, no kneepads, just power and skill 💪
Chaps, lads, Boyz. This is the stuff we've been waiting for! Superb!
Excellent effort Pete & good luck, looking forward to the send.
Mason and Lor are underrated crack legends !
The next wide boy product should be full rubber toe socks... one step closer to the full rubber gimp suit
five-finger shoes might work
My fingers hurt just watching this. Top effort Tom and Pete.
The angst of the climb when you’re like this can’t happen but it’s happening
It was so amazing. I especially enjoyed Mari almost whispering her encouragement. Probably she didn't want the camera to hear it.
Actually both boys! Tom trying hard again!
Such a fantastic video!
that looks amazing! I'm back from a big climbing break but now I started again and plan is to get into crack climbing! thx guys for getting me stoked again
Sick! Keep up the good work
the filming on thus channel is top notch
Always get a chuckle at Pete commenting on his "meat sausages"!
I absolutely love the directions you guys have taken with the music. The piano soundtrack fits tremendously well and is a breath of fresh air compared to the big loud upbeat music we usually find in climbing content.
Same here. I had to look up the soundtrack, it‘s „I‘ll tell you like it is“ by „Rikard From“
Love the chill music energy. So much better.
Incredible, can't wait to see you send it
yes!! we needed more of Tom. :)
Well done, Boyz! Proper good American jamming by you blokes.
Congrats Lor for sending!
🎉 🎉
Thank you
Awesome video and nice send. Was scary seeing the rope behind Pete’s ankle at the end but turned out to be a clean whipper 💪
Thanks for taking us along! 🥰
If Pete is a Tractor V8 and Tom is a 4 cylinder, then I'm a 1868 single cylinder steam velocipede. 😄
great send pete, love the american climbs
Great video! History + Projecting + Wide Boys Banter = Monumental Success 🥳
You're just amazing, Pete!
How the hell is that a real thing? Stupendous, flabbergasting, baffling, gorgeous, inspiring, and all the other adjectives out there - and even a few I might make up. Might be the most wild single pitch climb I have ever seen.
I'm really enjoying the music in this episode 🎉❤
Great video as always. Also loved the music choices in this one
Cracking vid lads.
This is such an interesting route, pretty crazy that it’s so sustained, well done on that first red point go! Thanks for sharing!

Solid effort Pete, I was spewing when you came off the 3rd last hold
Looked really good on that climb, Pete. Cant imagine the endurance needed for this.
Love more outdoor like this! Great video guys
Ondra is a W12 thank you very much. Massive power even in the low revs.
Good effort Pete!
What a beautiful video and climb
Way to go Wide Boyz! I thought you had it Pete!
Please we need a first 2-shoes ascent 🙏
I'll be sticking with two shoes I think. Tom seems to be more in to the taped foot. Let's see 😅
@@WideBoyz You could embrace your 'inner Czech' and go with a carpet slipper on that foot - or maybe both feet? Got them up some pretty hard routes! [I realize that you already know this!]
Amazing climbing Pete, awesome video guys!
Wow Great effort on the 6th day Pete!!!
Great to see you guys working a new monster crack
Mate that middle crux looked savage, great effort! Gonna smash it.
classic wide boyz movie!!!
Good effort. Can't wait to see more. Did Mari try it too?
Not gonna take a piece so “I’ll just have to run it out” speaks to how legendary Petes head game is.
I wanna see you guys do blackbeards tears up on the coast in california

The music in this film is great!
Insane red point on only day 6. Bravo 🐐
Pete looks very dissapointed at the end oft the video. You can really tell he wanted that! Classic ending to the video
Yeah! Looking forward to watching this. :+)
Awesome!
Wow so close, must take a few days to fully recover from that regardless of the finger ? Great to watch.
*Superhuman effort!* 💪
One day I’ll be good enough to do this😂 I’ve been going to my local climbing gym and doing a bit of sport climbing for the past year
Shout out to Lor Sabourin for managing to do it even though he forgot to put his right shoe on...
yeah, seeing that really surprised me.
Wicked motivating to watch!
Good work!!
Tom the 4-stroke... forever more known as the lawnmower man 😊
dang that looks soooo good!
Man that was insanely engaging
How are your fingers still attached? Surely if I'd do a move like that at 12:38 mine would come right off. Pete you're a absolute beast
Sick video! More like this would be awesomeeee
You're insane Pete! Super nice! love ya
