Man nobody reads NOTAMs these days. I may or may not have seen a plane land twice into an airfield that was shutdown while we were launching amateur rockets. Like we could have punched a hole in your plane with a 500mph projectile dude, hence us having the FAA waiver and NOTAM called in.
That was amazing. That stunt of flying the line up to the top was so sketchy, hard to overstate how easily he could have crashed if the rope caught on something at the wrong time. Glad it all worked out!
99% of what I watch on this channel I'm like there's no way in hell I'd ever attempt that, but this looks fun enough that I'm changing my no way in hell to a mere probably wouldn't.
You should have reported the helicopter. Not reading NOTAMs means he doesn't often look at his pre flight information bulletin. Nowadays with several apps for that, there is no excuse. Especially if he is operating commercially under FAR 135.
Incredible Video, great so see what skilled idividuals with teamwork and dedication can achieve together. I have on question, how do you handle the pulley after you jump of the zipline? Since I could not see a system to retrive the pulley from the millde of the zipline, did you just leave it there and use a new pulley for every jump?
If you ever need a breathing test dummy for this stuff.. holy hell am I your Man (also, I'm working on trying to source a cable grip i mentioned to you a few days ago)
18:41 oh Ryan...they say a picture speaks a thousand words but that one just says one and I can't repeat it on this channel haha...we gotta work on your game face...awesome stunt guys, keep up the stoke.
I wonder if it´d be worth it for the lifespan of the material you´re using to keep your prepared zipline pulleys in a cooler until you use them. Or is there anyone making some super high performance zipline pulleys that won´t heat up as much?
@@HowNOT2seemed like it was only an issue when they had prolonged contact after coming to rest. Could you splice in a length of technora at the end to protect against them melting through the line?
I've got a conspiracy theory.... Ryan is working for big dyneema and is publishing bogus data to obscure the true strength.... Also, when are you going to do some 3 rings? I want to see some geometic tandem 3 rings pull tested! (Skydiving quick release)

So sick! That power prop flying stunt was straight out of a movie!
Thanks!

Simply incredible ! Never in a million years would I have the balls to do something like this but still... AWESOME !
Lol holy shit using a paramotor to bring the line across is amazing! I went down the powered paraglider rabbit hole about a year or two ago. So cool!
Great episode! Thanks to all of you guys!
BEST HowNOT2 YET! More crazy shit please!🎉 Should’ve brought a winch and solar generator.
Wonder if you could get a TFR next time instead of just a NOTAM
Amazing set-up!! Thank you for disecting the ropes! so very instructive!!
No project is too big with a great team and this video proves that.
So sick! And andy is a legend!
Hell yea!!!!!!! You guys killed it!!! Great work!!

The post-zip testing is the amazing part.
Wow, that was incredible!
Damn. This is quality content.
Awesome work as usual! Stoked!

1 pulley per person. We had to have a LOT of pulleys and then when we cut it down we collect them all. They get stuck at the dyneema/rope transition.
From anyone else this would literally be unbelievable!
This is so sick. These videos get better and better.
Ryan... wtf lol. Love you man.
So increadible!
Seems like you need to get into basejumping now.
That looks insane
The "2 guys 1 line" gave me ptsd
“980 meters which in US is 55 degrees Fahrenheit” F$&@#%&G rolling on the floor 😅😂
2:14 ermm I think red would be a better color in combination with the yellow, I see red balls on power lines all the time
If you ever need a breathing test dummy for this stuff.. holy hell am I your Man (also, I'm working on trying to source a cable grip i mentioned to you a few days ago)
That was Awesome!! Silly question but how do you get the pulleys back after a run? Or do you just use a different pulley for each one?
1 pulley per person. We had to have a LOT of pulleys and then when we cut it down we collect them all.
Brilliant! Thank you for your videos it helps put faith in the gear we trust
Can you guys test how strong the black Diamond Mine belt is? I NEED to know if I can whip or not?
Soooo fockin rad!!
Very cool project!
That's why you need to carry a radio that can broadcast the hazard on aviation frequency in that area.
Can you use any static rope >10mm as the main rope for the sipline?
18:41 oh Ryan...they say a picture speaks a thousand words but that one just says one and I can't repeat it on this channel haha...we gotta work on your game face...awesome stunt guys, keep up the stoke.
This was sick. So pissed seeing helicopter flying through your reserved airspace, just fucking infuriating and dangerous.
Very enjoyable
Sweet Jesus! This is amazing! Yeah!!! 👍👍👍
0:33 hights are knot my friend, butt eye dew think this is minty as frig
One cup?

Freezing them before we start wouldn't help I don't think. Better pulleys definitely would help though.

The angle at 13:33 😲
Great work guys, what's the next crazy shit 😂
