I got this from a friend a bit higher up in ‘the organization’ than Fathis Ules. He said he doesn’t care about who has the Honor Blade, but was glad debts had been paid. He said to tell you that “You did CAPITAL”, and you’d know what that meant.
That's kinda the point of a role playing game. You're supposed to play the role. This generation has truly been left behind and neglected beyond belief.
I will say that I love the drunk speech the VA did for Reynald. XD Sometimes, in this game, all you hear is just people reading lines but then you get gems like that where the VA is actually putting some energy into the voice.
i think its also impressive that the dude is voicing both characters (i think) tbh the voice acting in this game is quite good. another example is raminus, especially when he starts talking about mannimarco. and the count of skingrad. damn, are these all the same dude? anyway bless oblivion.
The additions you make to immerse the audience into gameplay and narrative is so creative and unique. It’s perfect for RPGs and the lack of player dialogue. Due to your dedication i’ve been loving all your oblivion videos! Thank you. ❤
You are too kind, thanks for watching! I try and make the dialogue expand out.... just a shame how Bethesda didn't set up the convbersation to be more than one word a lot or have branches/meaningful choices.
Another incredible video. There is one thing you didn't mention about the quest. When I returned the Honorblade to the countess, Ules refused to barter with me. I assume that his disposition of you takes a big hit, causing him to refuse dialogue. This has small ramifications for a member of the Thieves' Guild, as Ules is one of the highest ranked fences with one of the highest cash pools when selling stolen goods. Other than that detail, which could be easily missed, this was a very enlightening video. Can't wait to see what you cover next.
I dont think I have ever gone back to tell guilbert about the Ogres. I usually just climb a rock and summon scamps on them. Then I tell Guilbert, "JOB DONE, MY MAN!"
You have the best damn content I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to while writing, walking about or napping. Been listening since your full Diablo 1 lore video. I just want to send a huge thank you for giving me the push to play this game again and you inspired me to find my cdrom copy of Diablo 2 again 😅. You’re an absolute legend.
Dude, Dash. I love your content. I've been binging your Oblivion content all weekend and need to say you're one of the best Elder Scrolls youtubers out there. Not just Oblivion. Elder Scrolls. Much love fam and may the ground quake as you pass.
Charlie, wow. You have a way with words that has brightened my day. I saw a dune clip today on youtube and was given the shivers with the whole "May thy knife chip & shatter" however, that just took a backeat to your "may the ground quake as you pass " line
I always felt bad about taking their gold and wanted to return it. I made it a mission to use invisibility to put money in people's pockets when "pickpocketing" them. Especially the beggars. It helped me level up my Alteration magic. My character had accumulated plenty of gold coin. When my character contracted porphoric hemophilia I made sure to leave a "Cure disease" potion with the beggars.
So if you think about this quest. It's whole Start is flawed. IF people see Guilbert in Chorral, Don't you think they'd of called him Reynald? And When YOU mention Reynald, Guilbert Knows exactly who he is. So you'd think one of the ones who thought he was Reynald would have been tipping him off to begin with. Instead he has No clue Until YOU specifically show up Lol
I don't know if anyone else does this but every time I do the Jemane quest, I never take them back to their house. I just keep them as permanent unkillable followers who just get smacked around a lot by every enemy, me and those guys saved Cyrodiil like 4 times lol.
I always kept these two as companions and never completed their quest. They're a lot of help succeeding the goblin raid on the farm and keeping everyone alive.
this might come off as creepy (I promise I'm not trying to be) but I LOVE your accent! It really adds to the atmosphere of the video premises and I love how you narrate making the dialogue flow very naturally ^^
Wait… is it really cannibalism for ogres to eat people? They’re ogres, which aren’t generally considered humans and are often portrayed as just being beasts/monsters, kinda like how trolls are. Or do they also eat each other in TES world?
I think this might be a misreading of the definition where cannibal means someone who eats humans and he has assumed it means anything that eats humans is cannibalistic, but as you say for animals it refers to ones who eat the same species. it confused me as well as you lol
The only person in Chorrol who hasn't met Reynauld Jemane in Cheydinhal was Gilbert Jemane. It's also kind of weird that Gilbert never reacted to anyone else calling him "Reynauld" until you showed up. That always confused me.
I have totally forgotten that third part of this quest line, and i usually remember a whole lot from games that i haven play for years. I wonder if your hero ever finds a mysteries " Ayleid Statue" for a certain Collector.
This was one of my favoirte questlines from the game. I am glad that the possible death of Reynald was cut but I do wish there was more to do with them.
wow I always do the first part of the quest early in the game, but never bothered to check back in with them and find out there was an entire second half of it
I played as an argonian lady when I finally completed the game, and I laughed when Reynald told me he ordered wine from five other ladies I'm not a waitress 😒
I don't think this cut content changes everything, but it does make Jaufre look less like a bumbling idiot and more like a mentor with the worst luck with students... A Sean Bean of mentors, if you will.
@@DarkLOREDash I mean... yeah. I watched plenty of your videos. But never thought that i was that high up the ranks xD Your videos are hella entertaining man. Appreciate you more
They're rude to you if you tell them the truth about their father being a thief (unless you return the sword to Cheydenhal), after you reclaim the home ogres may respawn nearby if you fast travel back which I did my first playthrough and ogres killed em lmao they wouldn't be safe near hackdirt anyway lol
Ah those final Sean Bean words about how the future of the Empire belongs to you to shape... They always had a certain magic for me back in the day. And a certain bitterness after Skyrim was released. When Oblivion was the oldest game out. They gave a melancholy, but also hopeful, note. The "Champion of Cyrodiil" would live on. That things would be rebuilt and improved. That like most regions after a tragedy they'd band together to help each other out in those trying times. It made me wonder what would happen with the Empire. What sort of person the Champion of Cyrodiil would be in the lore of the games. What lasting marks Martin Septim and the Champion of prophecy was going to leave behind in the setting. I should have known better. After all, they did the exact same thing with Arena. Of course the Eternal Champion ceases to be as a character and outside of "Someone named the Eternal Champion defeated Tharn and saved the Emperor" nothing is ever really said about them again. Similarly when Skyrim came around and I realized that they weren't going to build on what was already there... it was very sad. It's probably just me. Because most people seem to praise the fact that Bethesda nukes provinces after a game and deletes main characters. Something about how they think fans will be "Betrayed" if there was a canon character/options that wasn't what they had personally chosen. Which always sounded so silly to me. Like... I have never seen anyone at all get upset in Fallout: New Vegas that it was established that Fallout 2's Chosen One was male, cheated with Mrs. Bishop without his "Jimmy Hat", snubbed First Citizen Lynette to save Gecko, sided with the NCR influence over Redding, got caught at Navarro away from his post and chewed out by Sergeant Dorn, killed the Deathclaw in Modoc with the Red Ryder BB Gun... all that (and more) was established in New Vegas. Lol can you imagine if the Blade was equipped by a certain masked thief later?? (Thank you btw)
"I'm quite capable of besmirching my good name on my own!"
That killed me the first time I heard it
I never realized Jack Sparrow was in Oblivion
Its staggering how you can take an already entertaining game and add your immersive narrative to it. Thanks ❤
It's all thanks to the game! But thank you kindly ❤

What luck, you're trespassing, I'm a guard. And I love my job. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How great is that line?!! I totally forgot about it
Guards in TES games have the best lines possible.

Yes! Sorry I didn't return to him
Love your work and dedication ! always looking for these every night , you should tackle some skyrim quest lines like the dark brotherhood !
That's a great idea! Thank you
You should do Morrowind
A DarkLoreDash Oblivion video on my birthday? About cut content? Best gift ever!
Oh? It's your birthday too?
Happy Birthday 🎂
Happy bday

Happy Birthday! blessings of Akatosh upon ye (cus time God, so here's to many more)
happy belated! :)
Dash, you should do a voice in Skyblivion! You’re great at this.
Heya! I may be unofficially finishing up on a few lines for a certain Ashy voiced race tonight 😉
Thank you btw for the vote of confidence *

Reynald sounds like ozzy Osborne.
Lmfao
Love moments like 13:19 when you break character during narration. Really adds to the whole charm of these videos

best time i ever had in oblivion was with them, martin, and 2 more mod followers lol peak gaming
I had no idea this questline had any cut content, how exciting!
The voice acting for the bretons usually are okay, I like the voice acting on these two tho
I truly love you oblivion content!!! are you making fighters guild and the Mages guild ? they have som fun twist and turns in it! again love your work
Thank you! Yes, I need to haul ass with Fighters, Mages, Shivering Isles & ofc Main Quest pre Skyblivion!
I love how you cover this content, very unique and creative approach!
Keep it up man!
Thank you, I appreciate it very much
I love the way you spin stories :) I always look forward to your uploads ❤❤❤❤
Yay, thank you! Really appreciate it
50 minutes ago is an honor, this gonna be the morning watch
Thank you dash!
We’re back to oblivion content LFG boys!!
i love that dont you cut out the silly little bugs and quirks oblivion has
I always kept these two as companions and never completed their quest.
They're a lot of help succeeding the goblin raid on the farm and keeping everyone alive.
Thats clever!

Thank you! I try and make them a bit more streamlined but the details are so fun
Love ur content, can't wait for the next video! :)
Always a bleessed night when dash uploads, an hour long at that? Blessings of julianos upon ye
Thank you kind sir!
Looking forward to this one, didnt know there was even cut content on this quest
I got this quest mixed up with the Killing Field, the quest where you kill goblins on a family's farm.
I never bother completing this quest i just keep the Jemane brothers as permanent companions
The only person in Chorrol who hasn't met Reynauld Jemane in Cheydinhal was Gilbert Jemane.
It's also kind of weird that Gilbert never reacted to anyone else calling him "Reynauld" until you showed up. That always confused me.
Thats true BUT I wonder hpw many residents simply never travel Cyrodiil extensively
Another amazing video. i love this game and this channel
Glad you enjoy it! Much love to you
We sleepin' good tonight boys 🎉💤😴
That was awesome! Thank you!
I just woke up to find a new video by Dash. Im happy
I always look forward to these videos!
Well thank you!
Been waiting on a new Elder Scrolls Lore video. Happy day!!! :D
You are a patient soul. Thanks for watching!
It's a shame we don't see Martin in Sovngarde, he is Dovahkiin too afterall and deserves to be there. But I suppose his soul is with Akatosh now.
I have totally forgotten that third part of this quest line, and i usually remember a whole lot from games that i haven play for years.
I wonder if your hero ever finds a mysteries " Ayleid Statue" for a certain Collector.
Unknown oblivion stuff? sign me up. I started playing morrowind again recently on my XBOX one, pretty fun but im taking it slow.
27:04 I had an ad run at exactly this point. Not sure if it was intentional, but lmao anyway
“Hope he’s got a wine cellar”…. Sometimes this game’s writing just nails it 😂 they don’t make them like this anymore….
This was one of my favoirte questlines from the game. I am glad that the possible death of Reynald was cut but I do wish there was more to do with them.

I'm not a waitress 😒
24:53 I did not expect there to be such a loud jump there.
Love when you post
Love when you comment 😍
its always funny when someone has a conversation with themselves
I think another benefit to following the brother could also be you get your athletics up as well
I don't think this cut content changes everything, but it does make Jaufre look less like a bumbling idiot and more like a mentor with the worst luck with students...
A Sean Bean of mentors, if you will.
According to YT Recap im one of your top 1 percent viewers and watched 19 times more of your content than the average viewer
I appreciate you x 19 😅
@@DarkLOREDash I mean... yeah. I watched plenty of your videos. But never thought that i was that high up the ranks xD Your videos are hella entertaining man. Appreciate you more
The drunken dialog always makes me chuckle. I love this quest so much❤ sometimes I don't get why they deleted so much in the games.
Yeah, it was great. Its very endearing how they get him to sober up, too
I wonder if the very last thing martin says - the fate of the empire lies with you - was a direct reference to what they planned for skyrim?
@25:54 and this is why its one of my favorite games lmao. I always forget- is/was the lipsynch this good or is it a mod? its impressive af
Oblivion is great cus 'it just works' :P
Solid gold channel
Thank you!
I've always found the fact that Mehrunes Dagon doesn't say anything when he shows up to be strange.
When you're done with oblivion, you should try out the oblivion conversion mod Nehrim next
Will look into it!
well well, good(TIMEZONE) to ya

Welp time to adapt the quest to dnd
Fresh Dash
Have you considered doing the untitled quests?
Yes! I have done a few including the Romance Quest in Chorrol & The Udyrfrykte
Stop you violated the law
Bro…. Rewatching Martins death I cried a bit
I am sorry! I actually was shocked at how much more gravity its holding for me, over time.

I dont even need to look at the vid to know your choice timestamp 🤣
42:18 little flubs like these are in a few of oblivions final takes, I feel like maybe you leave one or two in every now and then to pay homage?

Yeah, there'll be like small snippets but nothing major. I am happy to share my scripts if ppl ever wonder

Ah those final Sean Bean words about how the future of the Empire belongs to you to shape...

Saying how he would rule at the right hand of the Emperor Uriel Septim the VII himself.
