Well google isn't making a return on youtube and you try fixing and keeping the number 1 video sharing site alright that major wide range of users & creators happy not a easy task.
Can we not get a good creator who's been here for a long time and knows what people want to be some sort of advisor atleast. You see it basically everywhere else.
My playlist was removed today. It was made years ago to compile rare memes I found on YT. It was private but that didn't stop youtube from removing it completely with no chances to redeem it or even knowing the specific video(s) that caused the AI to go bonkers and wipe it. Seeing this video now makes me wonder if those two things aren't connected. If this is how it's going to be it doesn't seem like a good future

I mean yeah, Google has repeatedly demonstrated that they don't understand or respect youtube as a platform. They just want to have more money than goddamn King Midas
Removals of Features: -Dislike Button -Sort by Oldest But also: -Treating Creators horribly -Expecting you to have obeyed by new rules 10 years ago (See RTgame) -Copyright abuse -General unreasonable expectations and demands (even if you remove all swears from your video in YT editor you won't get your monetization back on videos they've demonetized with their updated unreasonable policies.) -Treating their content creators like they are toddlers and talking down to them like a grade school teacher would. -Increased advertising that's only getting worse.

As a product guy, he should be all over bringing back dislikes. UA-cam shorts are not differentiated from IG and Tiktok. Dislikes actually give the platform a feature that these other platforms currently DO NOT have. This is a massive opportunity to pick up ground in the short form content space. Although, I'm sure they will fumble this one.
UA-cam not backpedaling on the dislikes has honestly been shocking to me. It's like genuine proof that UA-cam just DOESN'T hear the community whatsoever.
@@inktyler I think it's just because they try to completely hide any negativity. they want the platform to be 101% advertisers parasise, kid friendly, no drama, no controversy, just brain numbing corporate shilling. and dislikes are a way for the public to express negative opinions to this, so they remove that too
I think they hear it but are aware that they are the number one video hosting platform by far and most people will continue to use it despite the changes.
On Firefox there's an addon that makes youtube dislikes visible again, but people shouldn't have to go through that to see them. Knowing how many people dislike a video relative to likes is valid information to have. Either show both or hide both. Choose one way or the other, all or nothing.

hi
Beat me to it
Its funny that after that post on nft's Neal posted a blog regarding 7 "innovations" he was responsible for. Half of these were rips off a successor in that given field then there's a highlight that hes responsible for youtube premium. Which was the paywall around ads for people but also a feature like having phones off but playing audio still which baffles me that this couldn't be a feature without money. He also made youtube kids to ya know, prevent younger audiences from finding content too explicit for their young virgin ears and we know how well thats worked out. So cheers to you new CEO. May others ideas become your own and ones that are yours backfire in the years to come.
Everyone: thank you, the platform is finally save!
Neal: oh I wouldn't say saved, more like, under new management.
UA-cam is now basically the embodiment of "Why we can't have nice things"
Yeah....
indeed my friend
Well google isn't making a return on youtube and you try fixing and keeping the number 1 video sharing site alright that major wide range of users & creators happy not a easy task.
Your mom is an embodiment of mcdonalds 🤣🤣🤣

Susan is so respectable that she knew she wouldn’t be as good at ruining UA-cam as Neal Mohan so she stepped down
@Don't Read My Profile Picture ok, I won’t
Can we not get a good creator who's been here for a long time and knows what people want to be some sort of advisor atleast. You see it basically everywhere else.
She truly is one of the most dedicated person into ruining a platform
@YeaMan Lie and a bot
Can’t wait for UA-cam to be shut down so I won’t have to see these dumb ass bot posts anymore
Godspeed Charlie. Safe travels and may you have great luck.
If this is how it's going to be it doesn't seem like a good future
oh
It actually might be UA-cam's most impressive feat yet that they managed to find someone worse than Susan so quickly.

He learned EVERYTHING he knew from her...he has worked under her for a long time
Susan isn't bad

Literally..
The amount of people who were happy because they thought susan leaving = better youtube is insane. The guy was the chief product officer of youtube while susan was there, and the product was shit. i'm not sure how people couldn't predict that youtube put him as the new ceo because he's probably better at ignoring complaints/people in general

-Treating Creators horribly

-Treating their content creators like they are toddlers and talking down to them like a grade school teacher would.
-Increased advertising that's only getting worse.

UA-cam not backpedaling on the dislikes has honestly been shocking to me. It's like genuine proof that UA-cam just DOESN'T hear the community whatsoever.
im convinced its soley because youtube's own youtube rewind video being the most disliked video on the platform didnt look great to advertisers
@@inktyler I think it's just because they try to completely hide any negativity. they want the platform to be 101% advertisers parasise, kid friendly, no drama, no controversy, just brain numbing corporate shilling. and dislikes are a way for the public to express negative opinions to this, so they remove that too
I think they hear it but are aware that they are the number one video hosting platform by far and most people will continue to use it despite the changes.
it's impossible they don't hear us. they just don't care. all they want is money
for some reason they think that they know what the community wants more than the community telling them what they want
On Firefox there's an addon that makes youtube dislikes visible again, but people shouldn't have to go through that to see them. Knowing how many people dislike a video relative to likes is valid information to have. Either show both or hide both. Choose one way or the other, all or nothing.
