When I was 28 I made a friend on League of Legends. It turned out he was 15. I still stayed friends with him, but never asked for facebook or photos or didn't pry into anything personal. I was there just playing games and be a mentor to his school and problems that he needed help with. Now he is an adult and we're like brothers. Even if you don't have any bad intentions I still suggest to act in a way that won't seem questionable with a minor.

the whole "they were nice to me" thing reminded me of going to my friends house and her parents being total sweethearts to me. like took us out for dinner and let us watch a movie in the living room, just totally sweet and wholesome parents. at some point I said just about the same thing to her.. She told me about all of the things they did to her and all the times she had to wear jackets during the summer to keep her family out of trouble. I’m 30 and I can’t imagine a world in which I was friends with a 12 year old, much less close enough that I was sharing intimate details of my life and relationships. I have absolutely nothing in common with a 12 year old. Even if Colleen wasn’t a groomer, there’s no way a close friendship between someone her age and a bunch of kids could be anything other than toxic and creepy.
