    I'm really glad you showcased Harley Race slamming Andre. The most impressive part of that whole slam, if you watch it closely. Race hoists Andre up, then while he has him up there holding him Race switches his arm around to cradle Andre's head and back of his neck before slamming him to the floor so he did not hurt Andre. Just amazing when you think about it.

    Great video. Giant Haystacks AKA Loch Ness was billed at 645 and I think he was slammed. Multiple guys slammed Vader with the most impressive probably being Owen Hart because of his small size. I’ve seen Hogan, Sting, Bulldog, Warrior and Boss Man all slam Earthquake. Bundy was great in many ways but he was terrible at posting for bodyslams - On top of Taker and Hogan, I also saw Davey Boy slam Bundy but all three slams stank. I’ve no doubt Crush could’ve slammed Yoko if the story had called for it - most fans believe he picked up Yoko more easily than Luger did. There’s even a story that he was boasting backstage beforehand that he was going to slam Yoko for a shoot but an agent told him he’d be fired if he did

    By far and away, whenever Hulk Hogan slammed André the Giant during the late '80's. André was not over 500 lbs when Race, Kamala, et al slammed him--he was barely over 400 lbs in those occasions (he may have been close to 450 when Race slammed him in the ring). He was well over 500 lbs when Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior slammed him. Warrior did a very powerful body slam of André-- meaning, he didn't hold him for a long time--he turned him as soon as he could. What was so impressive about Hogan's slam of André at WrestleMania III is how he really held André for a long time, got only minimal assistance from André, and did a proper turn. The latter aspect caused Hogan (per his own recounting of the tale) to tear his right lat muscle.
    Ahmed deserves props for making the best effort to properly body slam what was undoubtedly a 550+ lbs Yokozuna, but between his weight and the girth of his waist, it would have taken a guy as large as Hogan, André, or The Big Show--all at their peak strength--to do it correctly.

    • @howstrongis

    If anything, a bodyslam tells you how experienced and strong the one taking it is, he's doing 80% of the work. Example: When Kane bodyslammed Khali, you can see Khali having one arm on Kane's quad and the other on his shoulder, for stabilization and support. You also notice Khali adding a tiny bit of momentum to the lift, just enough to make the slam succeed. Which is pretty professional tbh, since too much momentum makes a bodyslam look like its halfassed and makes it more difficult for the deliverer to secure the landing. And thats why people were rightfully worried about Luger bodyslamming Yokozuna. Luger was a pretty terrible wrestler. Not goldberg-type awful and ignorant, but severely restricted in his mobility, mixed with a lack of technique = not really safe to work with. And since Yoko himself was a fairly unskilled athlete for a man of his heritage, the odds of a tragic accident were there. However, respect for adding Ron Simmons to that resumee. If I had to name to name THE strongest wrestler of all time, I'd 100% go for him. The Dominator takes an incredible amount of core strenght, explosiveness and timing to do safely, and he managed to deliver it each time with such ease, even against opponents who were actively trying to botch it (Looking at you Trips and Backlund). The fact that he was not a gym rat like 90% of the powerhouses back then makes this even more impressive, dude was just built different.

    • @howstrongis
      @howstrongis  4 місяці тому

      That’s all pretty good points. I was actually asking two of my wrestlers what they think is the harder move to perform, the answer was :”Strength wise body slam but damage to yourself wise tombstone.
      I’d say strength wise they’re the same but the opponent can help more on a body slam”
      As far as you mentioned, fully agree on the Dominator, it takes a lot to perform it so kudos always go to Ron Simmons. Think there is a reason why the Steiners never messed with him.

    Some comments:
    You missed the Ultimate warrior slamming Andre when he was at his heaviest, least mobile and least accommodating
    Numerous men have slammed the big show, Kevin Nash, Luger, Goldberg, Kane and probably most impressive Bobby Lashley when Show was Ecw champion and likely at his heaviest
    Lex also slammed Yoko on a Monday night raw show which was cleaner than the original one. I'd consider this a more impressive list than the other men who slammed Yoko as Lex was far light and probably at single digit bodyfat. When you're low in bodyfat your strength PLUMMETS

    • @howstrongis
      @howstrongis  4 місяці тому

      As mentioned its not supposed to be a complete list, since all those guys got slammed way to many times, that would have resulted in an hour long video. Andre alone got slammed by 4 guys in Japan. Same goes for Big Show and co.
      So its rather to be a list of the heaviest guys who got slammed, not who slammed them in the first place. Hope that make sense.
      As for the Lex one, do you know by any chance which episode that was?

    • @adamkarimian7137

      @@howstrongis exactly. The list should focus on who slammed them when they were at their heaviest hence most impressive.
