Ankle Weight Workout | Leg and Core Workout

- This brief ankle weight workout will strengthen your legs and core.
We are going to work on ensuring the muscles engage to move the legs rather than using momentum.
Slow and steady, strong and engaged is the focus of this Pilates Ankle Weights Workout.
The benefit of this is when we try our next Pilates class without weights is we will feel stronger to perform the exercises and have a deeper connection with our muscles.
You can do this routine without ankle weights but if you want a more effective Pilates workout, you’ll want to use ankle weights with this home Pilates workout.
Even though we are going to challenge our body in this sequence, it is a perfect class for a Pilates Beginner and someone who does intermediate Pilates classes.

Just saw the video I have spine problem now better I do normally regular workout Dr recommended core strengthening exercise. My side fats, arm pits n hips side wise I need workout can you please make a video for this n suggest some workout . Thank you😊❤

Hi there, I love to follow your pilates, bcz you shows all the exercises very wisely, I just want to ask you I had meniscus tear 2 years ago so should I use ankle weight? And how many weight start from beginning ? Plzz answer me 🙏 I’m eagerly waiting for this and I wants to strong my knees and core also . Thank you so much .
I would suggest asking a PT about this they would be able to work with you one-on-one to see if they would be beneficial.
Nice workout ,please help about what is the exact weight of the ankle weights that you've used here? what is the safe upper limit of ankle weights for stretch exercises?
Also, does it slim the legs or increase bulking of the muscles?
I use 3 pound weights. For the weight, it's really what you can control from your center.
I want to know if getting an elastic would be better or getting ankle / wrist weight.

This session does focus on hip strength.

Of course. I use three pounds.
Is this exercise safe for someone with knee issues like cartilage defect in patella or patellofemoral pain syndrome?
I suggest checking with a medical provider or specialist and remove the ankle weights.

This won't make any area become bigger. The weights provide more resistance for the legs.
Does this workout slim and tone the legs without bulking up? When abouts would we see results if this were to be done everyday?
I typically don't recommend doing the same workout everyday as it can cause overuse injuries.

It really depends upon the class and exercise. You can follow this class as is.
Does this help loose skin on legs from weight loss?
No. No exercise will help skin that is stretched.

How much weight you have in the ankle weight?
I use 3 pound ankle weights because that's all I have at home. I've found 3 pounds are a nice weight to begin with.

Does this workout doesn't bulk you up? Because I just want to build muscles to tone my body and to be slim. But not big muscles.
