After 20 years of not really improving. I went back to head-torso-hip. Nothing further. No detail. Just the proportion of those 3. Also i use trianlges and squares with rounded sides more. Stylizes the drawing way more.
How okd are you

dude you're the best
even as unmotivated I am, you're still making me want to pick up my pen and grab my tablet, even though i'm failing at drawing anything
Failing is the absolute number 1 best way to learn! Keep up learning my friend :)
thanks! I really need all the motivation I can get, to be fair...
Keep going and don’t give up! Make sure you date your drawings or redraw the same thing a few months apart so you can track your progress and see your improvement.
I just have to say, I adore drawing while I listen to the smooth and jazzy baritone of your voice. So calming and soothing that I just simply can't get frustrated when I listen to you explain how to do basic art.
Thank you for your videos, you have not only provided me with incredible pointers, but an atmosphere of comfort and peace in my failures now turned into lessons.
Please, keep on with the incredible work you do.
I've been learning to draw since this Jan. For the past few months, i just copied my favorite character everyday. Sometimes i would do some tracing from a reference to learn anatomy or gesture drawing. Last month I found that practicing was boring, i didn't want to draw it anymore..my arts sucks..but finally i came to realise why everyone says drawing takes time and patience. Afte a few months, i can sort of drawing a head and a full body with reference, it suddenly clicked what i've learned these past few months...the improvement has been seen, it feels so great! i am still at beginner level though but i want to continue to draw! Thank you Anime Charlie!
He deserves so many more views. The content is incredible, motivating, and thought-provoking. 🐕
All I got so far is legs and hands.
Haven't seen the video yet but I sure do hope it helps.
Edit: Finished the video and dude has the calmest voice I have heard.
Very inspirational.
Let's get this guy on a smooth jazz radio as a DJ.
I just binged like 20 of your videos and now I'm on time for a new one! 😁
This video feels so spiritual
I really love your videos. Especially your style and, of course, narrative. Keep up the great work! I want to see more of your work!
Ur voice is very soothing!!!
I really love the perspective shifts in your videos! I like to think im at a decent level, but my skills are very sporadic because of the choppy way I learned to draw. I can draw reptiles, dinosaurs, dragons and some birds quite well, but everything else falls apart. It can be really tricky to apply what I've learned to other things like landscape, mammal drawings and still life.
This video helped me understand where some of my issues are, though i do wish I could've seen you go into gesture, as I really struggle with stiff drawings.
This guy gets me😭♥️
Love this stuff a lot! It's great :)
Thank u anime charlie
Bro, your videos are absolute fire. I don't know if it's your voice or the way you do your content, but damn, dude, it's so goooood. I stumbled across your videos recently and just can't stop watching them 😅. On the subject of you and your art journey, I have a question, I'm curious how you learnt your fundamental shape knowledge did it consist of practice, or did you do a course for that or a bit of both? My other question is would you recommend learning anatomy, figure drawing, and mannequinization yourself first, like practising it independently, or would you recommend finding a course to do it from? If it's from a course, can I be cheeky and ask what courses you would recommend or what courses helped you grow? Keep up the awesome stuff, and I hope for your continued growth 😁🔥.
Great video! :D
Good video as always, keep it up!
Agree😊
Thanks for another great video Charlie!
How long have you been taking drawing seriously?
And where do you find your references, do you collect them yourself or is it a reference generator?
Great ❤man I needed this when I was drawing baby years ago 😂
1:05 god DAMN that chun li woman is jacked
So early 🥱
wacky
Ahaaa Itadori on that train visual.
Making me wanna watch season 1 again 🤣🤣
I will need a step by step tutorial pls
🙏🙏
Im mostly at the drawing from reference with ease id say. Im aiming to apply for univerity but im unsure if this is enough. Id be happy to share what ive got.
Lmao we said “shapes together” at 2:32 😂 recently I’ve just been able to draw anything and everything cause I break things down into shapes. So this is a pretty useful video for beginners fr
omg look iam from egypt and i love ur vedios becaus ilove to draw bodies spechialy the anime bodies
thanks for ur helps for us🥰
BABY STAGE GOO GOO GAGA! AHHH!
So like do I have to master the shapes first?? Also Ty for the vids they’re really inspiring
I don't think you need to master them, but spending a decent amount of time on that and searching for resources / classes that go in depth might be a good idea.
wanna learn anatomy as a beginner and a master? study greek and roman statues, they are already simple shapes and forms
Its 10 pm for me 👀👀
1pm here
6am for me lol
Another gem.
DG!!! How ya been!?!
@AnimeCharlie I've been good, thank you! I'm about to get into some practicing. How are you doing?
I would love to take art classes but there are pretty expensive and as a 14 years old girl i don't have money for that and my parents don't suport me. They say i have to focus on school and not on something so stupid. I tired to improve in drawing at home but it just doesn't help and because english is not my first language and there aren't many videos on how to draw in my language i sometimes don't understund what they are saying. Because of this it is really hard for me to improve in drawing. Nowdays i don't have the same motivation i had when i was younger.
Would you take an art class online or only in school?
@@LoidAegis My school is pretty small so we don't have any art classes here and any bigger towns are far away. As for the online classes i alredy tried to find some but again there were expensive
It may not be much but I can help you
Sorry UA-cam keeps deleting the replies I sent
@@karolinamatejkova7951 but you have to really WANT it

There is nothing more helpful in this video X-D
The video could be 30 seconds long with all the useful information. Sorry, no offense intended, but 6 minutes of video for a few tips that you hear 100 times everywhere else...
It's a nice video with a lot of eye candy but it doesn't help me as a beginner, sorry ;-)
THATS THE DIPPEST GOGO GAGA I EVER HEARD
6 minutes of pure yapping
i thought i needed sleep, but all I need now is to study art more thoroughly. Although I have got the basics down, and my anatomy is ALRIGHT, there will always be needed improvement. These videos help me improve and learn, I appreciate it lol.
