  • Many of our viewers who've been practicing with us for a long time have requested a video with less explanation and more focused practice. This video is just that - a practice for more experienced practitioners who are familiar with our style of teaching and who are adept at adjusting the practice for their specific body.

This was amazing for me.. I’ve been doing beginner yoga and have yet to feel as stimulated as I did today.. I felt worked .. and relaxed and stretched properly. Thank you.

Did this one for my ‘active rest day’ I’ve been going to the gym and also doing resistance bands at home so this was a perfect practice to keep me active but focussing more on the stretching of the muscles 🥰 thank you!

Hi Lori :) We're working on more videos, but in the meantime I wanted to let you know we're currently doing a 21 Day Yoga Challenge here on our channel. Perhaps you know already. Classes are offered live at 6 a.m. CST (GMT-5) and the recordings are available on our Bigger Bodies and Livestreams playlists. :)

Perfect! I hope there will be more videos like this. I like the flow and the variety. For pretty new people to yoga 🧘‍♀️ this is a good next step after knowing some of the movements. I look forward to more challenges with yoga and also keeping my breathing in check 😉 Thank you 🙏

I just did this and love love love this! Just what I need for a step up from total beginner.
Question about the sitting posture with one leg folded to the thigh…. You state to keep your legs strong to lift yourself back up. I don’t feel much in my legs but my back feels it and gets fatigued. Is this normal? I have bad posture and not much any muscle or strength in my back. That’s one of my main goals … build strength in my back

I was able to do most of this! Any plans for like an hour long video?

Hello! We don't do hour long videos on our channel because the file sizes become very large and are difficult to work with. However, we do offer hour long live classes via Zoom. You can read about that here: www.rryogaroom.com/class-schedule

I loved this practise. I have two issues that I wonder if you can help with. the first is that I wobble really really badly when I try to go on my toes. I can lift about 1-2cm okay but any higher and I’m all over the place. The second is in the leg forward forward fold. With my left leg forward I really struggled to come up with my arms forward, again losing my balance. I didn’t have the same issue with my right foot forward, although I did notice some soreness in the arch of my left foot (when the right foot was forward). Are these strength or balance issues? And what is the best way to accommodate and/or develop these skills? I know that my flexibility far exceeds my strength and balance. Thanks!

Hello Tammy! Great questions. Both of these movements do require a great deal of strength. I would suggest doing gentler versions and slowly building up. For now, only try to elevate the heels 1-2 cm. You can use a focus point on the floor to further help with your balance. And you can also put a big focus on your breathing as you elevate and lower, which will likely also help. For parśva uttanāsana, the forward fold with one leg forward, keep your arms down for now. When you exhale and fold, slide your hands down your front leg. When you inhale and come up, slide your hands up. Also, it will be a good idea to reduce the range of your forward fold for now. As you become stronger and more stabilized you can add more challenge. I hope this helps! :)

I love these videos but I’m really disappointed in the number of ads used during play in this one. It completely throws off concentration and flow and isn’t an issue in any of the other videos I’ve watched. maybe these can be added at the beginning of the video?

Hi Jaymie S! Thanks for your note! We just realized a few minutes ago that UA-cam has turned on this "feature." We'll get the mid-stream ads turned off today. Thank you for supporting our channel! - Zelinda
